  1. A) If your income is enough, you do not need to list assets. If you list assets, you generally need to get some kind of appraisal for the value of the items. You cannot use a vehicle unless it is the second vehicle you own..the primary vehicle is not allowed to be claimed as an asset.

a.) If I have enough income how about

1.) I have on deposit in savings banks in the United States:

2.) I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is:

3.) I have stocks and bonds with the following market value, as indicated on the attached list, which I certify

to be true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief:

Do I have to fill them up too, or is it ok not to?

    b.)How much is enough income???

  2. a.) Confirmation for this that it is not necessary fill out

Still in Item No. 7, what are considered personal property? Can the petitioner just give an estimate based on his own knowledge of the price value of big items? Most people don't list the value of Personal Property - especially if their income exceeds the minimum requirement. For most, their most expensive Personal Property would be their car and it's not likely they would ever sell their car in order to provide for their household since that is usually how they would get to work. At any rate, he would have to have some sort of proof of its value.

    b. What do I put in?

    11. I intend

(If you check "intend," indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state

for how long and, if money, state the amount in U.S. dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, and for how long.

    Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor

I acknowledge that I have read "Sponsor and Alien Liability" on Page 2 of the instructions for this form, and am aware of my

responsibilities as a sponsor under the Social Security Act, as amended, and the Food Stamp Act, as amended.________________

  3. Hi everyone,

My soon to be be fiance and I are thinking of getting married on 12/13/14. I will start the application after feb 14 (the day or proposal I know we talk about the wedding even before the proposal). I know I am risking some money in case it did not get approved but we really wanted a church wedding and it will take at least 6 months of preparation as per catholic parish. I have heard that k1 applicaton is about 5-6 months so it could work out.

Aside from money is it a good idea? Will it send out red lags that we are planning wedding before the approval?
