I came to usa in a refugee status on 2010. its time for me to apply for the citizenship but unfortunately i lost my i-94. everyone is saying that it is needed coz of that refugee status. i tried to Print out the status from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html website but it alz shows not available. i have a travel document issued by US Citizenship and Immigration Services not by any country and i cant find that. Any ideas plzz?????

what !!!!? Why will u need i94 for US citiz. I94 is stamped on the passport for Non immigrants not for US immigrant visa holders

ya but she came on a Refugee visa and she is now green card holder. Its 5 years and she is thinking of applying for citizen now but everyone saying that i-94 is needed

One week ago when my wife called operator told thatit will take 3 weeks. Its already 3 weeks and today she called again. They asked our address and told us to go to the office where u applied... and when we went there they told it may take 2 more weeks coz its still in process.....

I applied for my social security card on May 19. its 3 week and till today i didnot got my social security card as i already got my green card. Today i went to Social Security office to ask about the delay and she checked in computer and told it still may take 2 weeks more coz its still in process..... i dont know what that means. One of my friend who came with me got in just 1 week.

i went to Social Security Office After 5 days of entry, and he asked if u have work permit or not?? I dnt have any idea abt that bt i told yes i have. He went inside and checked, and told Yes u have.. I just took my Passport coz i gave all my documents on POE. I dnt know what other document they are asking in SSO.. And he told me to come after 10 days. After almost 12 days we went again and this time lady was there. She also asked same about Work Permit and documents. She also went inside and checked and came back and asked me my greencard. I told i have applied. She told me that bring your green card then only u can apply... I dnt know what kind of staffs they keep on such offices....

Hi Everyone, i would like to ask a question regarding form I-864 affidavit of support. When i got the case complete email last year, i recieved a checklist which said that i have some missing information in my I-864 and i will need to correct that and send it to the applicant so that she can bring it with her on the day of interview. Now one year has passed and my wife just received her interview.

My question is will i need to write all the updated information in that I-864 with 2014 tax data or can i just correct the mistake i made last time and write down the original information i had in my I-864? Tell ur partner to take 2014 tax papers aswell on interview coz they will ask it.

just dnt worry abt interview. Remember date of birth, date of going usa, how many days (count year month days), company name, year of her start of work of ur partner.. Take every papers which shows relationship. Take latest tax return papers. Dnt panic. Just see on councelor eyes and answer every questions... It shows confident and proves u have geniun relation. Dnt forget to smile. Facial expression is very important. And if they fail to give u visa ask them why u r not provided visa... Thats all. Gud luck..

After how many days from ur interview u got ur visa in hand. Can i know plz coz i have interview on may 6. In from nepal too

they called me after 2 weeks to receive visa. Later they mailed me come on one week means on 26th march (interview on 18th). Bt i went on 2nd april

i m having interview on 18th March, the day after bt still i havent received my main package which is send to me by my wife before 1 week. i am too worried. i mailed embassy and they told to write my case as they will see whether date is available or not and yesterday i told them my case number and later i wrote them not to schedule new date coz my package is in Nepal. i dont know where my package is as my wife send it from usps vis Global Express Guranteed and while trackig it says it has cleared custom bt havent reached on post office. what to do now? is it possible to reschedule interview through phone in Nepal? any1 have idea please

Guys i am having my interview very soon... I have bought some files which are like photo album bt large in size to keep A4 size papers. i am thinking to take 2 file, one for Photocopy papers and one for Original Papers. My wife have send Photocopy papers to Uscis and Nvc. Is it necessary to take that photocopy file again or only Original papers?

My wife havent file Aos as it was rejected and m going to take new one to interview. Should i give both i-864 and tax files in interview?

After some weeks of Ds-260 is send my wife changed the address and later she called and told abt it to Nvc and Nvc told they have changed bt in papers same old address.... How can i take neww address of Ds-260 as it is locked till interview.....

My husband filed single too on his taxes. It wasn't a problem at the interview.

When I arrived here in the US and we filed taxes, we made amendments to make it married filing jointly.

Because they really don't care that much as long as you have marriage certificatee. Its embassy that verifies whether your marriage is bona fide and that's where you may have problems.

for verification we have lots of proof.... bt main problem is of her single status in tax papers....

lets see what happens on interview.....

the REAL question is, why did she say she was single when she is married????????

according to her i should appear there to sign to register the marriage on registered office then only after showing it her HR can works on tax....

I think we are all confused on your post as well...

1) First of all, please fill out your timeline, otherwise, it's confusing.

2) Did you guys get married in Nepal? When?

3) Did she file I-130? When?

4) When she filed, did she indicated she is single in immigration forms?

If so, that would be a big problem...as she is trying to petition a spouse.

5) Green card itself doesn't indicate whether she is single or married.

And when she got the green card, sounds like she was single.

we did court marriage on Jan 2013 and started process. my pd is 16th may, 2013 and on Sept, 2013 we again did marriage according to Nepali Culture.

One question hits on my mind, why would uscis and Nvc accepts the case if someone writes single....???

If you're married to her she should check 'married' in every form and document she files.

Unless of course you are talking about her W-2s and the like? She might have put down single misguidedly thinking it would get her the right amount of tax withholding with you out of the country.

She should file her taxes as married. There are ways to do this with you out of the country.

It sounds to me like she should be on VJ, rather than you, because it is sort of second hand information that seems to be getting kind of muddled.

what abt visa processing? She have wrote single in it aswell.... if she is single then why uscis and nvc accepted the case... i think m in great trouble in processing now.... lets see what happens after 9 days in interview.
