  1. You have to use her address. Do not lie and use another address, but yes it will probably cost significantly more because she is a USC. My husband paid 3x as much for our wedding for that reason. It's part of the game. As far as I know, Ikoyi is the only one recognized. Good luck!

Agreed girl, my husband paid so much for our wedding there also... its crazy :) Blessings and Happy New Year!

  2. We've been in AP for 6 months and finally received a second interview date for next week. This was with the help of my Congressman. When my husband returns to the embassy, will there be any fees to pay? I paid all the fees last time, but my mind set is since we were in AP, no new fees. I've emailed the embassy to ask but would like to hear from others.

    Hi Pascanda,

Did they ask you to get another medical before coming to the interview? Just curious?

You are in our prayers!!!! You will be together soon! :)

Thank you so much for the links they were very helpful. We have gotten different estimates from different people that work in the same office at the ikoyi registry. Just to get an idea how much did you pay for the marriage license?

    Thank you

I truly don't know my husband did it all for us. It is not easy to give you an exact rate because they pretty much have a higher price for foreign spouses. And so you know everything you do when at the registry they are asking for more money. You are welcome to privately message me and I can hook you up with my husbands bbm or whatapp numbers and he can give ya'll a better idea. God Bless Your Journey!

  4. Here are a couple of links for a wedding at Ikoyi, that is where I was married also. There are videos of me being married there on my page here on VJ. The rates are listed on the first link - however, they are subject to change, depending on who is helping you etc. If your husband has questions, he can contact my husband, you can PM me privately for his email address. He did our whole process himself before we go there and it went very smoothly. Blessings!

  5. Yes, you can put separate mailing addresses and residence addresses on the I-864, without confusing anybody. That's why they ask for them separately.

Thank you, as mine is in Nigeria also and them receiving mail is a huge issue. I have sent many packages that have never been received and a PO Box is about the best solution for them actually receiving the mail.

But knowing that I will be receiving whatever is sent to them also gives me true piece of mind.

    I thank you so much!

  6. I pray you are okay. I'm sorry he deceived you in any way, shape or form. I'm assuming the question that was answered by answering like he did, he answered it correctly. Was is something that is worthy of you not finishing the process, or divorcing him? Not something you can talk through.

I'm just asking, knowing that you surely loved him to go this far and be there for the interview also.

May your heart make the right decisions for you.

    Warmest Regards!

  9. There are some amazing Wife Support groups on Facebook, and the women from there have become very much like sisters to me in this process. It is an unbelievable feeling to know the other half of you is soooooooooooo far away and that he wont even get to be here for possibly a year keeps you torn up.

Blessings, there are many many of us experiencing this, lots of tears, but always counting the days :)

  10. Just a quick question for someone....

If they made very good money over the past 4 years, over 75K Plus, there will be only the petitioner and beneficiary in the residence, no joint sponsor, and the petioner has tax return transcripts to show these past four years, however petitioner has not worked one day in 2014 is that a problem?

In reading the instructions I saw that a employer letter and pay stubs are optional, so is proving employment in 2014 going to matter?

    Just asking... thank you.
