My drivers license is expiring and I drive to work all the time. We filed in CSC office march of last year. Extension letter is expiring soon, (i have a conditional visa) and its impossible to get an infopass appointment in Chatsworth LA area. What to do? I heard you cant go to any other local office but its getting frustrating.

My husband did his biometrics last May for removal of conditions, we got a letter that his visa is extended for one more year (until we receive a decision) but from then on we havent received anything anymore. How long does it usually take for them to have a decision? (we filed at california service center)

WHAT DOES ADIT means?? And will we need to provide that first before we get the card?

My husband's EAD will expire in JULY 27, 2015. We sent his renewal April 28, 2015 they received it already but no notifications yet. For the mean time we are waiting for is conditional green card which is already delayed for at least a year. We filed AOS May of last year, received a potential interview waiver last september 2014 with note saying that it will be delayed for another six months. It's already 7 months still no sign of AOS approval. Now my question is, can we appeal for his EAD to be expedited if we still don't get his green card before it expires? Also his drivers license will expire the same month his working visa will expire. Has anyone here got terminated because of the same situation that we have? I hope USCIS takes it in consideration that EAD will expire and because they are delaying my husband's AOS we are in a tight situation. Can we renew his driver license even without his EAD?

Is it a year counting from the time we filed it or a year after we received the potential interview waiver?

Yes, some with their interviews being waived are waiting over a year for the green card approval. Check the threads in the AOS Progress Reports forum.

A visa is for entering the country. Presumably you are talking about his EAD and AP. You should file to renew those documents 120 days before his current documents will expire. There is no cost for doing so.

What form do we use to renew his EAD? The one I saw in uscis.gov cost 380$

My husband is still waiting for his green card, meanwhile he has a working permit with SSN also. My question is, we are filing for our tax, do we need to file 1040NR with his taxes? Also is it better to file separately or jointly since were still in the process of "proving" our relationship. The reason I ask this is because, our income tax return is less when we file together.

I'm not sure if anyone can give you a definite answers with AP. It can last for a few weeks to several months.

Why not call or email the embassy for some direct answers? Only if you will get one from them...?

My fianće's case updated to READY (case open) today.. i dont know what it means but i hope its a good sign.

We already sent the UK police certificate and USEM already received it last february 12 and was forwarded to consulate. During the interview, the consul said that if we provide this, the visa will be issued. Has anybody been in this situation? Can someone give me an estimate or timeline on how much more days or weeks do we need to wait for the result of the issuance of visa please? We are on our 10th month for this K1 visa which is supposedly should have been "faster."

I called USEM yesterday and they already received my fianće's police clearance. Will I be getting a notification from embassy that they received it or they started to review the case again? or will they just notify me once its done?

Just be patient, it takes a couple weeks most times for the document to be added to your file then reviewed one more time.

Turned out I was checking the visa status the wrong way. I was using the non immigrant to check for visa status and using the DS160 confirmation number. So I used the MNL number and found out that it is in administrative process. Thank you for your link!

My fianće's interview was January 7.. Do you think I should still wait couple of days before I panic?

My fianće had his interview and it went well except the officer asked us to provide police certificate from UK before stamping the visa. We sent the document and his passport already and it was received last monday. When I check the status of visa in ceac it says NO STATUS. Shouldn't it supposed to say administrative processing or something? should it change status already because the interview is done and just waiting for additional documents?

How many days would it take for the visa to be process after sending the required 221g (additional documents)?

We sent the police clearance that they asked for 221g together with my fianće's passport thru 2go. And they already received it. Has anybody been to this process? how many days will it take to have the visa on hand?
