We went for our interview today and we got approved on the spot !!!!! I'm so happy.
We got to boston around 45 mins before our appointment and went to grab breakfast before. When we got to the building we went through the metal detectors and went through to the waiting room. While we were in there the director of the office came down and made a short speech about how they are there to help as be professional and that's what we should expect from the interviewers. He also told us how he and his wife had been through this process so he understood what we were feeling. It actually made us feel less nervous. Until they call my wife's name and not mine. The woman told us that she was taking my wife to talk first and then she would call me in. After the what felt like the longest 15 minutes of my life, she called me and to the room. He told me that she had spoke with my wife , And had now instructed she was not allowed to communicate with me for the duration of the interview. Then started asking questions about when we met, what our address was, who lived with us, if we have any pets. The she just got really relaxing start having a conversation with her and then started to throw in a few questions here and the and was trying to catch us out. She asked me who people were in our wedding photos and if I had met her family. Then she went through the check list on the application I.e have I ever been military trained or a spy .
Then she said we were approved took my EAD cards off me ( I've had 3 from college) and to look out for the card in the mail in 5-10 days.
By the time we were out the building I got a text from uscis saying my card had been ordered.
After being so so nervous about this day and November seems like an eternity ago the blue dot has finally reached the end of its journey and I've reached the end of mine (for two years at least),
Thank you to everyone that has provided advice and listened to when things weren't going too good.
Good luck to everyone else who is waiting and congrats to everyone who has completed their journey.

Does anyone have a good idea about how long after the Biometrics appointment it should be before your employment authorization card should arrive?? My husband had his bio appt on Feb 11 and they said we should get it in a couple of weeks. Well it's been almost a month and we are waiting anxiously. We are afraid it is lost in the mail due to we have had recent problems with our mail getting lost or sent back due to the good old USPS. Does anyone know how we can find out? Any help would be greatly apprciated!!!
Times can vary but they generally tell you to wait 90 days. If after 75 days you haven't heard anything they can put in a service request. I got mine last week and my bio appointment was on 23rd December.
If it's not been 90 days yet then all you can do is wait
Good luck

They just asked us how we met, and how our relationship progressed after that. Then, it was all the yes/no questions on the i-485 form, and they asked if we had additional documents to give them. I brought copies of our latest tax return showing that we filed as married filing jointly, our phone bills, credit card authorization, health insurance bills, and receipts from a trip we had and a recent furniture purchase. I punched them at the top to make it easier for the IO. I didn't ask if we were approved, she simply said that my conditional green card will arrive in a couple of weeks. Thirty minutes after the appointment, I received the text and email saying my card was ordered for production. I hope this helps! Good luck on your interview!
Thanks it does a lot.
I have all of our financial proof like joint insurance, taxes, bank account etc . Then I have pictures of us since we have been together at various family events and trips. Some Xmas cards that have been sent to us as a couple.
I hope the questions are just as easy.
I read about a couple that had their interview separate from each other.
But we have nothing to hide so I guess I shouldn't be nervous lol
Congrats once more

After 104 days I finally got my EAD approval notice . Irony is I was looking into the ombudsman route as suggested by a couple of you guys. And the text came through while I was on the site!!!!! Coincidence ??????
Anyways thanks for listening to my impatience for the last few months everyone.
Only the interview left and hopefully my journey is complete.

Hi VJers
So after my info pass appointment on Friday, regarding my EAD (its100 days since I filed tomorrow ) I was told the following.
1. They are experiencing so many EAD apps that it's taking upto 6 months to process them now.
2. They cannot do anything for me at the field office as far as processing my EAD there.
3. I will probably get my permanent residency before my EAD as my interview is in 2 weeks.
As far as the experience goes, the information obviously was not what I wanted to hear but 2 weeks till the interview I just have to thi positive. The guy was quite sympathetic too and we chatted for about 15 minutes about my case and he showed me the interview room. ( I was the only one in the office) but the basic message is keep in waiting.
I think if there are sports that involve being patient at the Olympics, then people filing at uscis would win gold every time.
Not long to go November filers keep on waiting

Hi VJers
So it's been 94 days since I applied for EAD. I have put in a service request last week, and made an info pass for tomorrow. Will they be able to do anything there and then at the field office ( in Boston) or just tell me to wait longer ?
Any info greatly appreciated as I'm now stating to go a bit mad not being able to work. And the wife's jokes about being a sugar mamma are now old lol

Have you called and ask to speak to a tier 2 representative? You can also make an infopass appointment at your local office. Some people are not approve at the interview and have to wait longer for their approval, so maybe you should try to get your EAD just in case.
I called yesterday they have put a service request in. The woman told me that I could have called after 75 days as that's the regulatory time frame . So we will wait and see still

Congrats on your approval.
Sorry to go on about this but, it's now day 85 and no EAD. Suggestions would be welcomed. I mean my interview is 4 weeks today is it worth waiting 4 more weeks ? I've waited this long already. I have the patience of a saint but this is starting to wear a bit thin.
Suggestions greatly appreciated
Thanks

Yes if you loom through other receipt numbers on the website. It tells you when the usps has picked the letter up from the office. Then it will give you a tracking number. Congrats on your EAD it's day 80 and still waiting

Congrats to everyone who got their date today online party woop woop

It is a possibility But I spoke with the uscis to enquire about my EAD and they told me the cases get separated. So my i765 isn't in the same pile for my i485 maybe that's why my AOS is moving quicker than the EAD .
Hope your interview comes soon.

Status changed this morning I have my interview on March 11th ..... So so happy. However I'm still waiting on my EAD. it's day 80 now should I wait until day 90 to call and enquire about it?

The MA test is a joke . Literally drove around the block once and reversed and that was it 5 minutes of diving to wait 3 hours in the rmv.

Hi everyone,
it's great to see we are all moving along and getting into the scheduling and interview stage, mine was moved into that on Tuesday. However I'm still waiting on my EAD it's day 73 now I saw most people have already got theirs. My question is can people tell me their wait from when they changed to testing and interview scheduling and actually getting an interview date and if any November filers are still waiting on their EAD ???
Thanks vjers

When i was in Montreal I came over he border every weekend once the 90 days were up I just got a new stamp in my passport and another 90 days and so on

I485 status changed to testing and interview stage . How long did it take for people to get their interview date and is it usually a big wait for the big day itself ?
-
Mine said between the 19th and 24th of Jan so I'm hoping Monday congrats to everyone who got theirs though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed :/
-
Are there any November filers still waiting on their EAD ? I had my biometrics on 12/23 I'm getting antsy waiting
-
Did you hear back from them yet? I'm going through the same thing myself .
-
I got the MSC , I filed on 11/19/13 and got my biometrics pretty quickly after that . I thought it was going to be a quick process given the first 2 steps but then they sent me an RFE :/ . They should get my response today with any luck.
Has any other November filer got their EAD yet and if so could they show their timeline.
Thanks
