Not sure if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find related references/posts.
Now that I have received my Certificate of Naturalization and am a US citizen do I still need to maintain all the documents I have received from USCIS since K1 days?
Can I need that documentation ever in future?
Can it be good enough to just store electronic copies and get rid of the physical paper copies?
Anyone here has any thoughts on this?

Had my naturalization ceremony on Thursday and received my naturalization certificate. Received my naturalization certificate today. My oath ceremony was scheduled for 10:15 AM but we didn't enter the building until 10:45 AM I think. The only thing I thought was different than what I expected was the passport filing fee. I applied for both the passport and card, and on the form I was provided after my interview, it stated it would be $165, but at the passport filing agency after the oath ceremony, it asked for $175. I would recommend just taking a check and filling it out on the spot if you want to apply for a passport. I decided to stay and ended up waiting about 45 minutes. I have a couple of questions since you have attended your oath ceremony already.
1. How long does the whole ceremony process take in San Jose? Is there any advantage to going there early or late?
2. Were they OK with accepting an expired GC since I am guessing you never got a GC after ROC?
3. Any other tips for the ceremony process?

I feel out of all the cities SJ office is one of the faster moving ones when it comes to scheduling interviews, I see Seattle is still stuck in Nov/Dec 2017, SFO is also considerably behind SJ and so on.
However SJ is very slow to schedule the oath ceremony, too many offices seem to have the oath ceremony either on the same day or within a week. SJ on the other hand seems to have only 1 oath ceremony a month so you are always going to be 2-3 weeks away from it after your approval updates.

So you never got your Green card after ROC? Isn't a valid Green card necessary to attend oath ceremony?

Exactly one month after my combo interview on 21st September in San Jose, today my online statuses changed to
a. 751 - New Card Is Being Produced
b. 400 - Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled
Hopefully they will schedule me in the oath ceremony for November and I won't have to wait till 2019 (December doesn't seem to have a oath ceremony schedule).
751 case updates show up only on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus whereas 400 status updates show up on both https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus and https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

Sorry to hear that. but at least you interviewed, they touched your file, they should approve your case.
She conducted a 15 minute 751 interview with both me and my wife and then a 15 minute interview with just me for 400.
Yes, the IO gave verbal approval on both 751 and 400 interviews, I passed my English and CIvics tests too.

I did only a I-751 interview and the IO told at the end she was going to approve it.John
IO actually officially conducted both 751 and 400 interviews.
IO said she was approving both and yet no progress in online statuses or otherwise.

Actually Nov 13th might not be the end either, I had my combo interview on 21st September and everything went well during the interview. However since then there have been absolutely zero updates in my online status on both 751 and 400. I am still waiting for anything to move.

For the I-751, status changed on 09/27 to "New card is being produced". Now this update only appears on the egov website. When I log on to "myaccount" on the dhs website, it still shows "case transferred and new office has jurisdiction".

Do they send the letter in the mail or online? Does I-751 status get updated after all?

Congratulations! Looks like even within the San Jose office there's no consistency. When I had my combo interview early this month, the IO specifically told me I would not be getting a new green card. He also said I would get my oath letter in the mail and would most likely be scheduled for the oath ceremony in Campbell two weeks later (9/20). Well, I'm still waiting for the oath letter, neither of my case status has changed. The ROC still shows, "Fees were waived" and "Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction" . The N-400 still says "Interview was scheduled". More than two weeks later, I'm still in limbo as much as I left the interview with a recommendation for approval.
This is exactly what I was fretting about
But now that the fears have been confirmed I guess I can sleep better knowing that the oath letter is not coming anytime soon.

So I had my N-400 and I-751 combo interview today in San Jose.
First she interviewed me and my wife together for I-751 and then just me for N-400. The whole interview lasted for about 30 minutes I think (10 for 751 and 20 for N-400). Though we waited more than two hours after we reached USCIS to get called for the interview.
For ROC she asked me a host of questions,
1. asked my wife what was my birthday
2. asked my wife what was date of marriage
3. asked us if we had any kids.
4. asked us if we plan to have any kids.
5. asked us about where we both worked.
6. we were in seattle when we filed for ROC, so she asked about why we moved and how did we manage the transition.
7. asked my wife if she had ever met my parents.
8. few other trivial questions and usual chit-chatthat I cannot remember right now.
She did not ask for any documents or pictures etc that I had taken with me.
Then she said that she is satisfied that our marriage is genuine and asked my wife to wait outside.
For Civics test she asked me.
1. Who is the current president
2. who is the commander of chief of the military.
3. what party does the president belong to
4. what are two main political parties in US.
5. Name 3 states from the original 13 colonies.
6. Name one state that borders Mexico.
Written and Reading was trivial, it was a sentence of 4 words (though I can't remember what was it.)
Then she asked me bunch of those (20+ i think) Yes/No questions, at this point her computer started acting up and froze. So, she decided to go back to reviewing general information about me including somethings from my I-751 application.
At the end she said I passed all the tests and she was approving me for citizenship, gave me a white sheet which says I passed civics, reading and writing tests.
However, she said I will get my oath ceremony letter only once my ROC green card is issued. So it will be a while before I get that. At this point I asked her that how long does the GC take and she said it usually takes about a month.
The last bit was a strange to me because I have heard of multiple people being told about their oath ceremony dates even during the combo interview process, so I am not sure what is happening in my case. At least till now none of the online statuses have changed for me. I guess I will just have to wait it out to see what happens next.

Data is still the same that gets posted on this forum thread. Is the spreadsheet asking you to sign in? Provide username password?

Google stores a ton of data on you every time you access any google doc, there is nothing you can do about it. It is not visible to users but Google gets and monetizes all that information.

Yes, I had my interview today with a pending ROC. The interview letter never mentioned anything about ROC but I went with my hubby anyway. That was a good decision because when my number was called, the IO asked whether my spouse was around because he needed to be present for the interview. Interview lasted about 20 minutes for both N-400 and ROC. For the ROC, he asked for documents that proved my spouse and I still live together. I gave him bank statements, tax transcripts, and some utility bills which he made copies of. Then he asked us how and when we met, when we started living together, our wedding date (which we had to tell him 3 different times cause he kept getting it "wrong") and then asked whether we owed any taxes. He thought it was funny when I answered "not as far as I know" and that was it. He then asked my spouse to leave the room so he could conduct the N-400 interview. We went over the Yes/No questions, updated some information that has since changed then signed it. Proceeded to the civics test which he said "correct" after every answer I gave. I got all 6 questions right at which point he said since I got them all, that was all for that portion of the test so we'd proceed to the English test. There was an oral test and a written test. For the written section he just read out a sentence and asked me to write it down. He then told me he would be recommending me for approval and that my oath ceremony will be in 2 weeks if it wasn't already full which he didn't think it was and to be on the look-out for my oath letter in the mail within the next week. Oath ceremony will be in Campbell. My test was as follows:
Civics and History test:
1. When was the declaration of independence adopted?
2. Name one of the longest rivers in the U.S.
3. What is the name of the speaker of the house of representatives?
4. What do we call the first 10 amendments to the constitution?
5. We elect a president for how many years?
6. Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?
English oral test:
1. Who was Abraham Lincoln?
English written test:
1. Lincoln was President during the Civil War.

I'm in a similar situation. When I went for my biometric appointment in February, I was told to keep the expired green card safe cause I would have to surrender it at the oath ceremony. I guess their assumption was that I would not get the 10 year green card even if ROC was approved due to N-400.
On a somewhat related note, what documents are you taking to the N-400 interview? Are you following some check-list?

Yes I am now a US citizen, tremendous credit to this website. The ceremony only took an hour but the line outside took forever as there were 400 people attended. We had to surrender the green card and also bring the appointment Letter. Before the ceremony started there were people from SS, Voters Officer and passport officers would instruct you what would be next step now that were citizen. People there would provide passport application and if you want to register to vote after the ceremony. Hopefully this would help people that will attend oath in Campbell theater. Also, if you visit Campbell theater website you will see the schedule of oath ceremony each month, so you kind have ideas when will be your oath ceremony after your interview. I didn’t apply passport right away as I need the original to take with me to renew my driver license. Good luck

Out of curiosity, what happens if you don't have a valid GC by this oath ceremony date?
By that I mean people like me who still haven't had their ROC application approved yet, and I am hoping that with my N-400 interview they will also approve my I-751, but even if they do that I am not sure if I will receive my GC within that ~1 month period. Can you not attend the oath ceremony without the ROC GC?
