Hi Everyone,

Well.. My wife got her interview letter and it’s for May28th. I have everything ready except I am not sure on one thing... My Marriage Certificate

I have the original (which is in Farsi) and a copy of the translation (meaning photo copy-in color of the translation) the original copy went along my wife's papers at the embassy when we were doing her I30 paperwork 4 years ago.

My question is they going to except this or do I need to get this document translated again? The downfall is the cost since I asked around and it’s about $135 to get this translated again..

What is everyone’s opinion on this?

You should be ok . Just take the official transcript that you have translated in Farsi along with original certificate ( Aghad nameh ) for the interview . Be prepared to show that in case interviewer asks for it . It is going to be costly to get another translation sent to you by DHL as you know specially if you have original document with you here .

Not sure sending application certified & return receipt requires option # 1 to po box or requires option 2 which is 2501 state hwy .

I sure appreciate any help to clear my confusion .

Congrats to the approvals!!

I did apply back in First week April of 2008 at TSC and transfered to VSC and still waiting . This week would be exactly one year since i paid fee and still waiting and very frustrated that all of my inquires getting no where even from senator or congressman .

I guess i have valid case to complaint once some folks getting approved in few months and mine after 1 year still waiting .

This is similar to my case, I applied in March 08 as well directly yo VSC, been waiting, and last week they asked me to re submit my fingerprints, I did that last Friday and still waiting, I don't know what are they waiting for? but must be the security clearance thing.

My RFE did not say anything about resubmit the finger print . I went to local police station and they refuse to take my print and send me back to USCIS which they have no idea and sending me back to police station . It seems like to me that left hand does not know what right hand is doing and we are stuck in between !

Do not know what to do or who to reach for answer

You can try calling the 800# and ask them. You may be lucky and have someone give you a good answer. If you don't like the answer the first person gives you, then ask for their supervisor. Be nice to them. :-)

I have tried that and no help either . The local USCIS did not have any idea , even finger printing section at that local office acted like they have no idea .

Not a pleasant situation and unable to get any straight answer .

Need some help please . I applied to remove condition back in March 08 at TSC and finger printed twice back in May , Jun 08 and each time was not ligible . My file was transfered to VSC back in Jun 08 and after 9 months of staying there got a RFE stating that in lieu of finger printing clearance , you must submit documentary evidence to satisfy the criminal background check requirement . Has anyone experienced case like that ?

I have tried Info pass yesterday and no help at local USCIS office and my local police station says no finger print is given to me for immigration purpose and do not even think is needed . The letter does not say finger printing only

Do i need to just write an affadavit along with a possible letter from my local police station stating that i have no criminal records ?

I need to send those papers back to them in next 3 weeks .

Any input is greatly appreciated .

need advise please . i am filing for natuarlization based on marriage but my wedding was overseas and documents are in foreign language translated sealed certified by my country state department from 4 years ago . do i need to get a new marriage certificate or the one from 4 years ago is good enough to file with my N-400? i appreciate any input

So today, we went to our interview and this is how our day went.

We drove 3 hours to OKC to be told upon arrival that all interviews had been cancelled for the day! WHAT??? So the security guard says "well I see you are coming from pretty far away, let me see what I can do". So he comes back and says he gave the interview letter to a supervisor and to go sit down and wait. We wait for about 15 minutes and a lady comes out to talk to us.

She told us that they didn't have anyone to conduct the interview today and that even if they did, the Service Center has not forwarded my file to them so they have nothing to look at! WHAT???? She said we were the fourth couple to get turned around that day, but at least the other 3 were given new interview dates. As for me, there was no new interview date scheduled for me when they checked in the system so I had to go home and wait!

She also said she was a little confused because my file was transfered to CSC in October, but TSC is the center that scheduled an interview for me. WHAT??? They are not even the ones working on my case but they schedule me for an interview?? That makes absolutely no sense. So basically, it seems TSC scheduled the interview for some unknown reason, but CSC was not advised of this so they never forwarded the file!!! I am so frustrated right now I could just scream!

You need to have your NOA 2 from I-130 before applying for AOS . Once NOA 2 is approved you have choice to either apply for AOS here or wait to continue your CR1 in overseas once you have the package from NVC .

It took a month for me to get my NOAs for AOS and EAD, but that was about half a year ago. Maybe they're slowing down again.

I sent mine on 12/30/05 and still no NOA what so ever . I think has been lost or something and my calls to uscis hotline gets nowhere .

I think you are ok if it has been 2 weeks since i have got mine after 42 days yet .

Hello all

I just post my story week ago and no NOA yet ( sent to chicago lockbox on 12/30/05 ) . I have called the USCIS hotline and got my recipt numbers that starts with MSC and as of today still no NOA for my AOS or EAD . Once i check the status online . message saying that my letters are all returned undeliverable , however my address is correct once i call the hotline and get address verification and same about USPS.

Does anyone have any idea what needs to be done ?

I have called several times to verify my addresss and operator saying to wait 30 days , eventhough that they have sent out somesort of letter to me .

Any feedback is greatly appreciated .

Hello all

It has been a month ( 12/30/05 ) since we have sent our AOS to chicago Lockbox and still no NOA yet . The checks were cashed on 01/19/06 but no NOA yet . My wife came over with K3 visa and not sure If that would have made any difference or not . Is that normal wait or should i call the USCIS hotline ?

Any idea or suggestion is greatly appreciated
