Greetings All!

We had our interview today, 3/15/2018 at Mt Laurel, NJ.  We were approved and also did the "Oath" ceremony in the afternoon and was able to leave with the Naturalization Certificate in hand!!!  Would appreciate if someone would update and finalize the chart.

We found Mt. Laurel to be very professional, modern and polite.  Note of advice.  Make sure you know your civics.  Also make sure you know your dates, birthdays, marriage, etc.  Bring any paperwork you have that shows you have things in common. Property, pension, healthcare, shared bank account, taxes, etc.  Of course this applies for naturalization thru marriage.

Good luck everyone, next stop, Post Office tomorrow for Passport!  We can't believe our 4 year journey (stated with K1) is over!!!!  The adrenaline is still high.....

I am a VSC filer, with the receipt date of 9/27/2017 and notice date 10/07/2017 filing from NJ. 

I have not heard anything since my biometrics last year and like others, my online status is still "Case Received". As people started receiving approvals in August I hope that I would receive it as well. I recently moved and notified USCIS so I am not sure if that's delaying the process. Also, I believe I read someone else from NJ not having heard anything yet - so it might be a state level thing. 

 

I've been traveling with the extension letter with no problem, actually I just came back from a business trip a week and a half ago. But my GC expires 10/22 and my next business trip is 11/04 so I made an infopass appointment. I hope they don't make any problems with giving me a stamp at the appointment but it sounds like majority of people had no problem with that thus far.

We are from NJ and are VSC filers (NOA date 10/3/16).  We received the Permanent GC on 9/23/17.  Be patient, seems they are moving quickly.

We were approved for the Permanent green card on September 19, 2017.  We were September 2016 filers. VSC processed us.  There is thread on this topic.

I want to thank you all for posting and sharing your experiences here. My ROC journey was so much easier because of your knowledge and support. Especially I want to thank the members of this forum who took their time to produce and update the timeline charts. Thank you! 

It seems VSC is processing at a 11 month sharp rate. 

Good luck to us all especially to those of us moving into the N-400 asap.

Has anybody received the 10y GC yet? If so how long it took from approval letter? As officially they say 60days max for card production..

Ciao ragazzi!  Here we are in the same boat again with you and following this feed with trepidation.  We got noa1 on 10/3/16 did biometrics on 11/4/16.  We are also going to file for citizenship if this turtle process continues!

My service request on the 8th of Jan had a NYC suffix (my geographical field office). Not more than 5 seconds after I submitted it on line, it came back that my case was unassigned. I can guaranty that it did not go to the NYC office to get that answer...our file is still in Missouri and we are stlll in misery...

It appears that the vast majority of the Jun 5th NPWI members have been approved -- not all -- and there are still a few even earlier. We are fellow 6/27'ers (receipt date 3/25/14). I do not recall whether there I saw any other NPWI dates between 6/5 and 6/27, I may be wrong. Ours should be soon (though it took almost 1-1/2 months from late November from the 1st 6/5 NPWI approval to yesterday, the most recent); we hold no illusions for a January approval...

Below is the timeline for our Green Card:

March 10, 2014 - AOS application received.

June 27, 2014 - NPIW Letter

December 20, 2014 - 1st text received - Welcome letter sent.

December 22, 2014 - Welcome letter received and Card ordered for production.

December 23, 2014 - Ordered new card. Also sent response about why case was taking longer than processing time (never got)

December 30, 2014 -Notice Card mailed.

December 31, 2014 - Card received.

There were a series of texts with different dates about receiving card. One was if you don't receive by Jan. 20th, another one - Feb 20th then Jan 22nd to contact them.

I hope things start moving for everyone.

Your story precisely illustrates the unchecked nature of this very convoluted bureacracy. Different people give partial or even incorrect information because it appears different Tiers have access to different information. Tier 1 personnel appear to be the doormat for USCIS. Most callers stop here because they don't know or are not told there is a higher level(s) of communication. I bet we are all surprised that there is a Tier 3. There are probably very few of them and they field the most irrate or concerned of the delayed decisions. Their rudeness to you was uncalled for.

I believe it is never a bad thing to get your Congressman and Senator(s) involved. I know that you will probably get the same answer, but as your case gets even further outside of the processing date at your local office (even though your case is at NBC, which has no processing date -- which gives them plausible deniability to say that you in fact are NOT outside the "processing date"), your Congressman(woman) will have more ammunition and concern about the injustices done to a constituent (depending on the Representative and whether or not they are vulnerable in the next election - not to be too cynical). Tell your Rep about your Tier 3 experience... Senators, who knows...

Not unlike the VA, the USCIS had an executive bonus system based on performance in their units. Hence the continued advancing processing dates for I-485's at are local offices, beyond our NOA date while we all rot in the NBC where I-485's have no such processing date. They look good at our expence. We are not far behind you, ours was filed mid March with a PWI date of 6/27/14. Your future (hopefully near future) success means us later June PWI waiters should not be far behind. Keep on plugging...We're all watching and reading...

I agree. Our PWI letter is also 6/27/14. We will also be watching and reading. After putting in a service request on Thursday, I received a flurry of texts on Friday. They were of course updating their site as they were old notices. All the receipts including the one for my most recent request came from Newark, NJ. I will be contacting my Congressman this week, who knows. I'm exasperated by the whole dysfunctional process.

We were super prepared the whole time. My Fiancee told me a lot of people left the Consulate as she was waiting with Denials or Requests for more information or documentation. I have been receiving requests from friends for information about the process we went through. I have referred them to this site of course.
