Update: husband had interview today at the London embassy, and he was approved!!! So hopefully he gets his passport back in three days so he can be here ASAP!! Thank you everyone for your help and guidance!

I am finally nervous about the upcoming interview, I've just done my online check-in for the flight tomorrow! I've been so busy with packing the house and all the other details that I just haven't had time to be nervous, but the butterflies have just arrived! My interview is Tues a.m.

So glad to hear! Good luck on Tuesday! You won't need it though because you got this!! My butterflies were crazy waiting at the airport for him to walk through that door! And then the immigration officer came and got me with a real serious tone and I was thinking OMG! Something is wrong! I didn't expect to have to go in there. I thought he just came out when they were done. They just asked me to sign a paper about the CR-1. Also they asked my name but didn't ask for ID! I thought that was strange. And we hadn't seen each other for over a year and all we wanted to do was hug and kiss and the 3 officers were starring at us which was awkward. So the whole scenario was not what we had imagined but it's ok ....,., we are together. That's all that matters!

I had thought it was going to be like a scene from a movie where we ran towards each other hugging a ns kissing like crazy with a buch of people around saying awwwwwwwww! Lol!!

I wish you the best of luck! Like Dwheels said earlier , the real journey is just beginning.

Hey Guys! I've just spent over an hour catching up on this thread!

Congrats Lucybelle , Sukie, Snipe, Infineeded, Lifeonhold, Bos and all others who have gotten CC's, interview dates, visa approvals or have finally been reunited with their loved ones!!!

Reading all the posts was so exciting!!!!!

I haven't posted since hubby has arrived. It's been 2 weeks now and I still wake up and see him there next to me and think I'm dreaming!

My heart has been so overwhelmed with love and joy I can't even describe in words all the feelings and emotions that are going on. We have been so happy together. It's even better than either one of us had imagined it would be.

We spent our very first holiday together! We went to our city's celebration last night. It was so funny because as soon as we got to the stage where they had the entertainment , the band sang Etta James "At Last" and that's our song!!! We were the only fools slow dancing in the blazing Florida sun! But we didn't care!!! We watched fireworks for the first time together and for lunch we had the all American burgers and dogs in the grill! It was the best day!! I feel more content , happy and loved than I ever have in my whole life!

I can say to everyone still waiting that after 14 months of pure misery, the reward is MORE than worth it! And I would do it all over again if i had to. Love surely does conquer all!

And it all makes you appreciate all things no matter how small. So hang in there! Everyone's time is coming soon. And I wish everyone the kind of happiness that we have now!!

I just wanted to drop by and let you all know that my husband's visa was (finally!) approved this morning at the consulate in Amsterdam! Thank you everyone here who has been so helpful during this entire process!

(As an aside, sorry that I haven't been around, but me and the girls have been super busy with kid type stuff, so I've been more active on facebook than here. Miss you guys!)

and last question do i have to pay the fees 165 for green card before fly or i can pay the fees after landing usa?

My hubby received his visa today!!!!!! He gave me the visa # and I am going to pay today. The sooner you pay the sooner you get the actuall GC. If I were you I would pay it now. You can wait but why? Good luck to you!!!

INTERVIEW JULY 3RD!!!!

My parents had their interview this morning in London and were approved Finally after 15 months, we are done. I will post a detailed review when I Skype with them this weekend, but they were asked the following:

Who I was

Where I lived

What did I do

When they were planning to go to the US

Where they were going to live when they got there

My Mum was also asked a trick question asking if she had been to Colorado before as there was someone there with her maiden name. Weird question to ask but she answered no and told the immigration person that you can't catch me out, lol!

Thank you to everyone who has helped me with questions along the way, especially Saylin and D-Wheels. I couldn't have got through all the paperwork without all your expert advice. To anyone else that is still waiting, keep the faith and you will be reunited with your family soon

No. He thinks he may get it tomorrow. The embassy told him Tuesday or Wednesday. We are still a bit afraid to buy the ticket until he actually has the visa. We talked about it again today and I was so tempted to just tell him to buy it!!! It keeps getting more expensive everyday. If he gets it tomorrow I'll post it for sure! Good luck!!!

Thanks so much!!! Wow! 6 weeks for the green card!!! Did the ss card come at the same time? I've been checking into things for hubby. It seems as though you can't do much without it. Ie: bank acct, drivers license, ect. You can't do anything here without ID and you can't get an ID without the GC. Thanks again for thinking of us! He'll be here in less than 2 weeks!!! So happy!!!!!!

I keep hearing about biometrics from you guys but haven't gotten any info on it from the interview letter or embassy. My country's embassy reviews say nothing either. Can I assume if needed this will be done at the interview?

My hubby didn't get anything either for biometrics. I kept asking him about it and he said no one said anything. But he said they did it at the interview. He's had work visas in the past and he said they have fingerprinted him everytime he has gone to the embassy for a visa.
