  1. My aunt married a U.S Citizen 25 years ago. He did not want to help her fix her status because he said she was going to leave him. All these years he has threaten her to call immigration on her when he gets mad. Does anyone know if there is a form that applys to your husband not fixing your status so I can help apply for in this case?

  2. If you want to come to the U.S.A to be with your fiancé he or she has to apply for a K1 which is an I-129 petition here in the U.S.A once that is approve you will have an interview at the U.S embassy in your country once you attend your interview and get approve you will get a visa to enter the U.S.A once you enter the U.S.A you guys will have 90 days to marry once you guys marry then he or she can apply for AOS which is I-485 U.S resident and I-765 Employment Authorization Card for you

  3. Personally, I would wait and purchase the ticket until the visa has been approved.

As to where to fly, I would chose the cheapest route, so that would depend on the itinerary. I would not go through another country unless it was necessary

Thanks but I will not be purchasing his ticket yet due that I want to wait after the interview But if he wont have a problem flying from HAV to MEX then to California that would be easier for me. I just don't want him any conflict by flying that way. if the Visa he receive is to enter the USA and he can enter through mexico will be fine

  4. He can travel anywhere he wants to. Just keep in mind the K-1 visa is a one-time entry visa. What he does before he gets here doesn't really matter. Once he uses the K-1 visa to enter the USA he can not leave without the AP card or a GC. If he does, he will not be allowed to re-enter.

Thanks the reason I ask cause I live in California and the two options to fly to cuba is either Miami or Havana and I don't want a conflict when I have to purchase his ticket when am coming back through mexico once we get to usa border by flying through mexico

  5. Thank you for these informations, I have a question since you're further into the Visa process ...

We just recieved our NOA1 and I know there is quite a long waiting time now, but all those documents you are listing up will we need to send them to the embassy in my (beneficiary's) country or is it all only for the interview? Like, what is the NOA2 and what happens in between?

I would like to thank you in advance and I am sorry if I shouldn't ask here, I will ask again on a topic one day smile.png

The documents I listed were the ones given in a list to my fiancée by the US Embassy in Havana. Those documents he will need for his interview. Once you receive your NOA your petition packet will be sent to NVC then forward to the correct US Embassy where your fiancée lives. And what happens in between you will have to wait and you will not heard anything for like 6 weeks. Then the embassy with receive the packet and send your fiancée a letter to pick up Packet 1 at the embassy which is a list of papers needed for the interview. best wishes if any question you can ask

  6. Yeah those are the documents needed for the interview, My fiancée has his interview in April I can not wait to go with him and get this process over with. Finally be together smile.png

thank you AlejandroEsther!! this is exactly what "packet 3" tells you, when you pick that up in Havana.

Mirhen, that list is what the cuban beneficiary needs to collect in the month leading up to the interview and present at the interview. All those documents expire quickly (3months) so DO NOT get them until you have a confirmed interview date and are within 2 months of it.

    Best of luck!

    THank you:)
