OK I've searched the forum and couldn't find my particular situation so any help would be great...
Recently married here in the Philippines (I am the USC). I am petitioning for my wife and her daughter to come to the states (DCF). My step daughter has my WIFEs family name and we wanted to change it to mine prior to starting the i130 process...
Is my only option adoption? She is only 9 years old and doesn't have her passport yet. I would assume bringing the NSO copy of the marriage certificate to DFA for her passport won't suffice? Do we have to go to court? Totally clueless here so any help would be awesome...thanks!
