  1. The way it's gone for us in Mumbai, India:

NVC received letter said we should fill out DS-160, so my fiancee (beneficiary) did that, and created the online account at ustraveldocs - she created it, but anyone can access if they have the password. We could then pay fee and schedule interview, but we called the consulate, and they said we should wait until my fiancee receives a letter saying the case is ready for final processing - we received that a couple weeks after the NVC received the petition, and now we are just waiting for the PCC to be issued before paying the fee and scheduling the interview - earliest available interview slot is only a few days later, so it is not a big deal.

Yes thanks for the information. We did fill out the 160 form and I will have her register at usatraveldocs.

    Happy new years

    Hope this helps! :)

  2. fiancé made payment for Visa today at BPI. got receipt. So we have manila case number and we have paid for visa. I ask you Experts

    1. can we now go and schedule the interview?

    2. would my fiancé need to do that or would I the petitioner do it?

    3. I notice that on the U.S. Consolate website it wants you to create a profile. Should the petitioner create this or the Beneficiary or both?

    Thanks in advance

(admin sorry if this should be in Philippines section. I am not really sure)

  3. I am by far no expert but I would say as soon as possible based on all the threads I have read. For sure 2 weeks in advance but I would do it even ealier. Good luck.

  4. My NOA1 was November 7th. Still no change in Alien Registration Number nor NOA2. Last year, we started a fiancée visa but after waiting over 6 months thought we would just get married in the Philippines so we voluntarily cancelled our fiancée visa request. Well, work prevented that from happening. So, we resubmitted a K-1 request and got our NOA1 November 7th. Since then, nothing. Could it be that NVC has our old and new case and just hasn't responded yet? We paid both fees both times. Does anyone have the NVC phone number?

    Thanks y'all

The phone number is 603 334 0700 but I think you will get better service with an email. It is their preferred method. The email address is NVCinquiry@state.gov

    Best wishes.

  5. I hope you get your case number soon. The wait to get an interview date at the USEM Manila seems brutal. Too much patience required.ClockWatch2.gif

Thank you and good luck in your journey. I see you got the dreaded RFE. Hope it goes smooth. I agree the embassy interview date is way to far out there (past my k1 date) but maybe next month they will move things along quicker. Hey I am an optimist. I will be heading back to Manila in Feb. I am hoping my fiance can do her medical then as I will have a hotel in Manila. I am not sure if I would be allowed in st Luke's just to keep her company.

Keep me updated on your progress. I am sending some positive vibes your way :)

  6. Well after the excitement of receiving an NOA2 in 10 days unfortunately since then it has been over 4 weeks and the NVC still has not received the file. On the plus side it was very easy to get through to the NVC today when I called and they were polite. They just gave me the standard "It can take up to 8 weeks to receive" line. Sigh. Need to get that case number to move things along. Hate the feeling of being stalled.

  7. Going on almost 4 weeks since NOA2 approval. No word from NVC. I know the timeframe is up to 8 weeks but I think its time for an email to them just to be safe.

what really worries me is according to NOA2 we have till March to get Visa but from what I have read they don't even have interviews open until April. So this seems like I will have to do extra work for extensions even though we have followed all the rules... But staying positive.

    Happy Holidays all
