My bank just printed out a copy of my information including opening date and balances. I think if you do this and also have your work letter and a few years of W2's that will be fine.
-
Sigh. Medical done The dreaded Sputum stamp now delays what was an otherwise quick process.
-
Looks like openings in March also. We took March 26.
-
Great news for you two!
wishing you a long happy life together.

Yes I am needing an April slot... But seeing them open up a group of slots is encouraging
-
A few hundred slots. Too soon for us but get them while you can...

The way it's gone for us in Mumbai, India:
NVC received letter said we should fill out DS-160, so my fiancee (beneficiary) did that, and created the online account at ustraveldocs - she created it, but anyone can access if they have the password. We could then pay fee and schedule interview, but we called the consulate, and they said we should wait until my fiancee receives a letter saying the case is ready for final processing - we received that a couple weeks after the NVC received the petition, and now we are just waiting for the PCC to be issued before paying the fee and scheduling the interview - earliest available interview slot is only a few days later, so it is not a big deal.
Yes thanks for the information. We did fill out the 160 form and I will have her register at usatraveldocs.
Happy new years
Hope this helps!

fiancé made payment for Visa today at BPI. got receipt. So we have manila case number and we have paid for visa. I ask you Experts
1. can we now go and schedule the interview?
2. would my fiancé need to do that or would I the petitioner do it?
3. I notice that on the U.S. Consolate website it wants you to create a profile. Should the petitioner create this or the Beneficiary or both?
Thanks in advance
(admin sorry if this should be in Philippines section. I am not really sure)

I am by far no expert but I would say as soon as possible based on all the threads I have read. For sure 2 weeks in advance but I would do it even ealier. Good luck.

My NOA1 was November 7th. Still no change in Alien Registration Number nor NOA2. Last year, we started a fiancée visa but after waiting over 6 months thought we would just get married in the Philippines so we voluntarily cancelled our fiancée visa request. Well, work prevented that from happening. So, we resubmitted a K-1 request and got our NOA1 November 7th. Since then, nothing. Could it be that NVC has our old and new case and just hasn't responded yet? We paid both fees both times. Does anyone have the NVC phone number?
Thanks y'all
The phone number is 603 334 0700 but I think you will get better service with an email. It is their preferred method. The email address is NVCinquiry@state.gov
Best wishes.

They need to get some additional staff. I think the typhoon caused many additional expedited interviews but a seven month wait for an interview is not proper. Lets hope for the best as we are waiting to book an interview also.

Nothing new for us, but happy for all the wonderful updates from everyone.
Hoping you all had a great Christmas, for those who celebrate it.
Sparkle Pony you are always so kind and helpful to all the posters! I hope you had a Merry Christmas and I hope 2014 brings a quick resolution to your K1 and you get married and live happily ever after!

Happy day! Received NVC Case number today. I both called and emailed. Emailing seemed to do more. Onto the case being sent to Manila.
-
I am on week 5 after NOA2 approval and still nothing from NVC. I called and was told up to 8 weeks but I also emailed and they asked me to send my NOA2 approval copy and they would try to track it down. That was Monday so I am holing to hear something next week.
-
Wishing you two a wondeful life together.

I hope you get your case number soon. The wait to get an interview date at the USEM Manila seems brutal. Too much patience required.
Thank you and good luck in your journey. I see you got the dreaded RFE. Hope it goes smooth. I agree the embassy interview date is way to far out there (past my k1 date) but maybe next month they will move things along quicker. Hey I am an optimist. I will be heading back to Manila in Feb. I am hoping my fiance can do her medical then as I will have a hotel in Manila. I am not sure if I would be allowed in st Luke's just to keep her company.
Keep me updated on your progress. I am sending some positive vibes your way

Well after the excitement of receiving an NOA2 in 10 days unfortunately since then it has been over 4 weeks and the NVC still has not received the file. On the plus side it was very easy to get through to the NVC today when I called and they were polite. They just gave me the standard "It can take up to 8 weeks to receive" line. Sigh. Need to get that case number to move things along. Hate the feeling of being stalled.

We got out case file from the NVC today! (Dec 17th)!
One step closer
Congratulations. Did you have to call or did you receive an email?
-
Received NOA2 on Nov 21 but no email from NVC yet. Today I emailed them just to hear something. I will give them a few days to respond and then try calling. Just want to get to the stage where we can book interview and medical. In the meantime it looks like a third trip to the Philippines next month...
-
Very sorry to read this post. I wish you the best of luck. Just make 100000% sure this is what you really want to do. Don't rush anything.
-
You are not alone with your waiting at this stage. I think many of us got spoiled with the quick NOA2 approvals and now there is a bottleneck at NVC.
Best of luck.
-
Yes SparklePony is correct the interviews backed up till April are for Manila.
-
Going on almost 4 weeks since NOA2 approval. No word from NVC. I know the timeframe is up to 8 weeks but I think its time for an email to them just to be safe.
what really worries me is according to NOA2 we have till March to get Visa but from what I have read they don't even have interviews open until April. So this seems like I will have to do extra work for extensions even though we have followed all the rules... But staying positive.
Happy Holidays all

Well I can't assume any advice I would give to be correct so all I will say is good luck.
I was asked why does the Phils have a high incidence of scam. Agree or disagree?
