Ilovemyman Dios dijo- Ayudate que yo te ayudare. You can't sit idly by and do nothing, you have to be proactive! Call NVC and press option 3 for cases that are at the Embassy, e-mail Santo Domingo EVERY DAY until they get tired of you!
Don't just give up, government agencies don't care about your feelings or how they're messing with peoples lives. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the oil!

Thanks everyone! We're really excited, counting the days for DomEx to deliver his passport.
Congratulations!!!!!!!
Shy did they make you guys take a,DNA test? Do they always do that? Is there a way torequest it at the medical so it doesn't delay the visa issue if it is mandatory?? we also have a baby and I'd love to get that done beforehand if we can!
You must be so happy!!!!! When is the wedding???They don't always request a DNA test. My fiance and I had a complicated case and he messed up a lot of the questions. If the consular officer suggest you have a DNA test taken they will give you a list of approved labs to have it done, Clinica Abreu does not do DNA testing for the Embassy. Also, the Embassy will not accept any DNA test that you hand in your self, and the labs will not send in DNA results to the Embassy if they have not requested it. I hope that help and made sense!

After being on AP since April 10, 2014 CEAC case status finally changed to ISSUED!!

Congratulations!

My case was pending DNA results. The consular officer actually gave of a choice of going to window 13 or getting a DNA test between my fiance and our son, since my fiance was extremely nervous and not answering questions correctly we chose to do the DNA; little did we know that it would take 3 months!

It changed from Immigrant to Nonimmigrant visa last week but it stayed on AP, that's why I was nervous. I'm hoping it changes to Issued today!

Thanks for the response. I've just been a little paranoid because of the time its taking. Ilovemyman, I've been following your story for a while and I'm truly sorry that it's taking so long to get your passport back. I hope your case is resolved soon.

Congratulations!! He got it quickly! What part of D.R. is your fiance from?

Hi all-
My case has been on AP since April 10, 2014. Finally on Monday July 7 the status changed to ready, on Wednesday July 9 it changed back to AP. How long much longer until the status changes to issue? Do you think there might be a problem and we will be stuck on AP again?

It's going to change to issued soon! Mine is still in AP and hasn't had an update since Friday...

Hello everyone,
I haven't really posted here before but I have been following all your stories from the beginning. Today I finally got a text saying that my petition was approved --no RFE-- I am super excited and cannot wait for this all to be over. Good luck to all who are still waiting.

Hi everyone! I sent in the I-129f application on November 13 in the evening (it didn't leave the post office until the 14th) I still haven't heard anything from USCIS and I'm trying not to get to excited about the fast approvals. Good luck to all of us :-)
