  1. you gonna keep your residency, you don't need him he is an #######!!! you will file without him

I feel lukcy that I just found this forum here. like found my family.

Like some of you do, I am also in a complicated case.

I had F-1 visa before I met my husband. And then I met him, and got married with him on 2004 May. on August 2005, we passed our interview, and now I am in the process of waitting for removing conditions on residency.

It started this March, I got a letter regarding the joint account my husband and I have, there was negative one thousand dollars balance since last October, and luckily, it was already paid off. (My husband paid it off) and this April, I got another letter from the same bank regarding the same account, there is -3500 balance, due to a fraud check cashed by my husband. Then I tried to talk with him...and he tried to lie to me. ... anyway....after almost one month discussion and argument with him... He wanted me to pay the money for him, and I asked him where the money go, and he didn't want me know.He started to not to come home...and even terminated his cellphone number... and started from then, I realized he has some other woman outside, and he has been with that woman for a while...that's why since last year, he started to treate me worse and worse...its a long story...

And now the bank is asking me for money(since its joint accouont)...and also I just realized he used the fraud check under the same name and cashed another 2000 dollars in another bank (that's his own account, my name is not there).

I tried to contact him...but unable to. He has been back for almost one month already. and contacted me only twice, nothing but ask me for money and said If I dont pay, then he's going to divorce.

I just can not believe I really married this man, how can a person be totally different few years ago and few years now. And today, I just know that he is fired by his company, because of his absense, suspended driver license and dishonesty.

On my table, are all his bills...cellphone, insurance, warning letter from the bank....but I am unable to find him. (tried to reach his grandpa, grandpa said he doesn't get in touch with my husband for a long long time)

In my case, we will not submit the application for removing condition on residency until June 2007. I really dont know what I can do between now to then...since he is threateing me for divorcing and want me to pay for him. I am still studying in the school and even financied my tution, where can I find that 3000 dollars to pay for him. besides, if I paid once, I may have to pay twice, again and again...

I can not stand for his threating again and again...and all these stresses. I really want to divorce with him. But can I divorce with him now? If I divorce with him right now...am I going to be back to my F-1 Visa or I will just lost my identity...

Can anybody give me some suggestions or advices? I would really appreciate that. Thank you for the patience of reading my long story.

I wish god bless all of us.

I wish tough days can finally pass. I wish I can get through.

    Thanks

  2. Well, Johnny showed up for his infopass appointment and saw the same lady we saw on Monday. She said "oh no, I knew it! They won't give you anything at the doctor's will they?" Johnny explained what had happened on Monday and she said that she was going to take the new medical form back to her supervisor and see what he can do. So a few minutes later she comes back and tells Johnny that the supervisor took one look at it and said "this isn't their fault. they've done everything they were supposed to do and can do. They should NOT have to pay any more fees". So, they've accepted the case as reopened... they say we should hear something from their office within 2 weeks. Also, my hubby's work authorization has been reinstated and the march 9th get out date has been stopped!!!

FINALLY, I've gotten some of my faith in the system back! It's refreshing to know that at least 2 people in the St. Louis office have a heart and are able to see past the red tape to see the clear aspects of a case.

I'd forgotten to post on here that the job that J has been working (a temp job at Ralcorp in St. Louis) told him that if he could get this straightened out today then he could come back to work. (which is impressive as he is just a temp there). So he's going to call them today and see if they want him to come back. The best news is that he'll still be able to take the new job on March 20th.... the one that comes with health insurance and all sorts of benefits.

Even though it seems like things are going great now for us, please please, anyone who is going through AOS and needs a supplement.... make sure the doctor has filled out the right forms! Get copies! And for the love of God, please DO NOT go to the People's Health Clinic in St. Louis, MO. They are the ones that screwed ours up. Let me be your shining example of what can go wrong :P

I am so happy for you Faith, he'll get his GC soon :D

  3. Hi i had my interview yesterday in Jacksonville and got approved YIPEEE :dance::dance:

The interview was a breeze and really nothing to worry about. I honestly believe that as soon as they meet you they know whether they will approve you or not. The guy that did our interview was great, very informal and only asked for the bare minimum of paper work. I didn't even need my Vaccination supplement or 1/2 the paper work asked for on the int letter.

All those months of worrying and stressing were completely wasted, we were in and out in 30 mins. I think that if you come from a country similar to the USA (UK, Germany, France, Holland, Denmark, Canada etc- A a strong country where the benefits of living in that country are no different than here) than you are more than likely to have an easier interview. Several times i was asked why would someone from the UK want to move here when life there is so good - especially when you have had to give up your job, your home, friends and family. I think those that are coming for a new / better way of life are those that they are cracking down on. We were quoted that 30% of the AOS interviews are fraud cases and are denied for one reason or another.

The only snipets of advice i can offer is:

If your pregnant take some proof ..a doctors letter, hospital letters, scans, etc. ( we were asked to prove how we wouldn't be a burden on the state whilst being pregnant)

Take more paper work than you need. I went in with a whole bag full of photos, cards, journals etc, etc. Although your not asked for it - i feel that it makes your relationship more real.

Good luck for all those going through this process.

I'm out of here now for 2 yrs.

    Kate

CONGRATS, Our interview was in Jacksonville too, I just got my Green Card yesterday.

  8. Hi Guys first I wanna apologize for the misspeling the interview was November 2005 not 2004, Well my attorney she said she will send another letter to the DO. And see what happens. Its just so frustrating, I don't have AP so I can't even travel, and don't wanna spend money on that. I thought everything will be approve, oh well I learned my lesson. Anyone waiting for FBI name check too?

  9. Hi Everybody,

I had my Aos interview on November 2004 couldn't get approved because of FBI name check pending. Well next week it will be almost 3 months since my interview and still no answers from USCIS. Today I talked to my atttorney, I told her that I heard about, that it might take up to 2-3 years, she said thats what people thinks but it'snot really true. She said that FBI name checks takes only couple weeks to complete. The problem is when FBI send them back to USCIS they just sit at the DO office untill the officer review them and approve the case, But because the officers are so busy they take their time with pending AOS cases, cause they are so busy with their daily routines interviews etc... I know that I am not the only one waiting, but guys, I think its such a pain in the butt. They need to speed up, I just dont understand it.
