No biometrics letter for us yet.

By my count, there are 9 people who don't have biometrics appointment letter (or did not update the spreadsheet)

We received our NOA1 , receipt date is 5/10/2016.

Which is the date they received my application the second time after I made a mistake on the personal check.

NOA1 itself authorizes you to travel. No need to stamp passport when NOA1 is still valid. If I-751 processing takes longer than validity of NOA1, then you can make infopass to get passport stamped

Hello all, I believe I read somewhere that with NOA1 we can have an info pass and ask for the passport to be stamped to travel? Does anybody know this?

Finally, my bank show my check in process. We are expecting NOA in the two days.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I already made my cover letter. Did you submit new form? What about the date below your signature? Did you change that too?

I didn't submit another form. I sent same package with same signature, date and folder clip they had already punched. I added current date to my cover letter. I did send a photocopy of the old check. And keep copies of the entire new package, in case I get into any situation.

That's what I'll do. I will resend packet tomorrow. Does anyone know if I can resend the same form? Or should I send another one? The first page was stamped "Received 4/13/16". I called USCIS and rep doesn't seem to know. She kept on asking what the instruction says. The only instruction was to send copy of this notice when submitting another application based on this decision.

I had a similar situation, what I did is photocopied all package again, with USCIS stamp on it, including the check and original shipping envelop. I typed another letter stating the resubmition, with a copy of the letter they sent me, a new check, and a photocopy of the first check, and resent stamped package. That was Monday this week, I am waiting on them to cash my check now.

Our package was sent back to us. I re-wrote the Check and sent it back. I made photocopies of everything, even the envelope where I originally send the package.

Hello everyone, quick question: we mailed our I751 and USPS shows that it was received on 04/15. As of today (05/04), USCIS has no record of our application. My wife's CGC expires on 05/07. Will USCIS reject our application if they process it next week (after the 7th) even if tracking shows it was delivered on the 15th of last month? Is USPS tracking enough evidence that it was "FILED" within the 90 day period? I appreciate any clarification or positive thoughts...

HI, you should be OK, since you file within the window. Your usps tracking receipt is your proof of that. We have a similar situation, I called USCIS last week they told me even if I made a mistake I will be able to resend application or documentation.

I could have but I couldnt. I don't have a lot of spare time. I needed to gather more info and not very confident of the evidence I have in hand. And I don't have extra $590 readily available.

Is there an update on your case? I wonder what did you do? we are running out of time also and haven't receive NOA1.

I see, I am going to make a trip to my bank and see if there is anything I can do on that end.

The issue is really not with the CSC - but with your own bank. However, CSC doesn't want to deposit a check that will bounce back and bite it in the behind, so they might reject it completely. Most banks these days charge the depositor AS WELL AS the writer of a check that does not clear.

I know you get rejected if the amount is incorrect.

I had my spouse sit down with me and we walked through every single piece of paper that was being submitted to double-check. However, I don't think she examined the check we sent in!

My package was delivered today. I was nervous and made a mistake and didn't spelled the amount, I only wrote the amount in numbers... what do you think is going to happen? How long does it usually take for the California center to cash the check?

Sorry but can I ask two more questions?

1) This 603-334-0700 phone number were busy for almost two hours, but I call the 1-800 number which was on the letter from INS and spoke with the person. When I spoke with the person, she told me to wait another month to hear from NVS. Should I keep calling 603-334-0700 until someone answer the call?

2) Do I get contacted from NVS or my wife who is in Korea get the contact from NVS?

Yes, call NVC everyday until you get a human. Do not wait a month because you will not get what you need on time. Number is 603-334-0700. Calling early in the morning is best, dial & dial until you get someone.
