  1. I am the petitioner.

Married on day 30 of a K1 visa and separated 5 days after. No AOS was submitted. Spouse has left with another partner and didn't leave the country. Can I withdraw the I129f petition and I134 support? Spouse is getting a copy of the marriage license in hopes of filing for AOS.

I have sent notarized withdrawal letters to USCIS and submitted to the local immigration office. How long will the withdrawal take if approved? Am I missing anything else?

  2. I visited my fiancee last April, POE was JFK. He payed wifi spot with his credit card (It was called Boingo I think) and gave me his password. After I finished with customs I called him on Viber and we met few minutes later. That option worked for us.

Thanks Lelyze, I joined Boingo and I am having her download it. I didn't know about monthly subscriptions using boingo. Thanks again for the great idea.

  3. Thank you for all the suggestions. I was thinking of having her buy wifi time at JFK with my credit card on her phone, which she will not have access to any US cell phone service, and text me via "Whats Up" or "viber". I just want her to be able to contact me if she has any issues at customs or gets lost or something.

I thought about a pay phone but that isn't very convinent, sending her a prepaid phone is out at this point in the game, and having her wait at the exit is an option. Just that it will take me an hour at least to get from ISP to JFK and there are no earlier flights I can get on SW. I am sure everything will workout but I understand this will be a stressful time for her.

  4. My fiance will be landing at JFK July 30th 2014 and I am flying up from NC so I can travel with her for the remainder of the trip to NC. I have free tickets on South West but SW doesn't fly into JFK. So I am flying into ISP McAuthor airport at the same arrival time as her.

My question is..........how can we communicate with each other once we are both on the ground? I am really worried about this because she isn't very familiar with traveling. Plus I want to be able to find her when I get to JFK. Any ideas?

  5. I also used C4C and was able to get an alert on June 17th for an interview for July 15th. The alert went off a couple times and I missed those. I was sleeping and it took me a minute to wake up. We have been looking for 3 months. This was the only way we were able to find anything. I wish I would have know about C4C back in March, she would be here now. Just make sure you turn off your computer's sleep mode and any screen saver login so you don't waste any time getting to the calendar. Only took a few seconds for each day to disappear off the calendar.

  6. I don't think so. Just bring all papers regarding her real name such as birth certificate, etc. People made mistake when filled out forms. For such mistake I do not think CO at the embassy would think you and your fiancée are trying to misrepresented documents. Good luck for the interview.

I didn't think it would be a big deal but my fiance is nervous about it. She doesn't want to risk anything. Thanks for the reply.

  8. Hello all,

I have been comparing the timeline of others on here. Specifically the time it takes for the NVC to send the petition to Manila. My petition was sent on March 21, 2014 and I have seen others claiming the consulate receives the petition in a week. It is now going on 3 weeks and we haven't heard from the Embassy. I have called Manila repeatedly and they can't give me any clue as to where the petition could be. They just say wait for the notice letter. Not sure if this matters but a K2 visa is also in this process. We have completed the DS-160 (K1 and K2), 134, paid for the interviews, printed all documents, photos and proof of relationship.

Any ideas on what to do now?

    Thanks
