  1. Please be strong. Diana and I filed going on 3 months ago and still no word. I feel your frustration.. The only option we have to do is wait though. 5 months is not that long and all this will be a drop of water in a bucket compared to our lives.

Think about it like this; the longer you wait and the more effort that goes into this, the more powerful it will be once you and your fiancée are actually together. I know that Diana and I were prepared to wait the worst case scenario for this visa because we truly love one another and this Is the only way.

Please be strong! I am in this with you and I know how hard it is. It will be over soon.. Just remember that nothing worth having comes easy in this world.. or it wouldn't be worth working for!!

My thoughts exactly, Foxxy. We've got 3 months down, worse case scenario, its 2 more , and things seem to have been speeding through the NVC.. and once it's out of there, it will be in our loved ones' embassies and that is the light at the end of this frustrating tunnel.

    I can't wait to see David luv.gif

  2. Hey guys, so i just moved (to a different city in FL, still TX service center) and was going to do an address change.. right now the address listed is my grandma's house so it isn't totally necessary to change, I can still get my mail there, but i was wondering/being paranoid if changing my address would affect in any way my processing time.. still waiting on NOA2. any thoughts on this?

  3. Happy Friday everyone :) I'm a November filer (I still have to make my timeline, I know!) sent my I-129F package on 11/7, NOA1 email 11/15, hard copy and ARN changed 11/21. Waiting on NOA2!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I check this thread every day (maybe more than once rolleyes.gif) and you guys are all so much help to me! We can all relate and it's nice to have you all and hear your stories, successes, and even problems! So I'm just here to spread some love and remind everyone how lucky we are! A year from now, this thread will be a distant memory and we will (hopefully) be married to the ones we love! How wonderful is that?! luv.gif

So patience, my friends. Our time will come! Marriage lasts forever and this process, thank the universe, does not!

  4. I was wondering this as well. I never got an official notice that the A number did change, but it says on the USCIS site (when checking my case status with the reciept number).. "On November 21, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" ... I got my email NOA1 on Nov. 15 and hard copy NOA1 on Nov. 22. I assume with the NOA2 we will have an official Alien number that the embassy will use.

Veteran VJers, does this sound correct?

  5. Fluff, I'm currently unemployed as well and just starting the K1 process. Do you have to include the I-134 with the original I-129F or are they only worried about it down the road for the interview? I hope to have a job by then, but my dad will be sponsoring us. Also, my fiancée has enough in savings to be considered above poverty level.

  6. Hi guys!

So i'm just starting the K1 process and I have almost everything in order except for the I-134. I am in between jobs right now and definitely don't meet the requirements to support another person at the moment but my fiancée has enough for the both of us. I was planning on having my parents co-sponsor but then I noticed on the K Visa FAQ page http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-I129f.html they recommend leaving the I-134 out.

Any info will be greatly appreciated!
