  1. Word of advice to all.....

Once your i-295f is approved and you receive your approved I-797 , it would be to your best interest to complete the medical exam immediately. Do NOT wait until the embassy contacts you to submit documentation. We waited and it was the last item we needed and to our surprise an x ray irregularity was found. Regardless of the irregularity, the doctor reports it immediately to the embassy as an irregularity. They will reply with notification that your case is placed on hold until a sputum test for TB is done and the results prove to be negative. This test take 8 weeks to achieve the final results needed by the embassy. This can dramatically lengthen the process and no interview is scheduled until resolved. If the test is positive for TB, no interview is scheduled until medication resolves the problem, which from what I read can take 6 months. This would mean starting the process all over again. Beware.

This is so disappointing. another 8 weeks to wait which goes beyond the period of K-1 approval, which can open up the doors to more problems.

We did not know this and we waited too long to complete the medical. Just wanted to share and spare others the heartache and pain.
