  2. Hi Friends.

I received a noticed today from embassy today requiring me to schedule another interview.

I was already interviewed last year but myvisa was not issued bec there is a missing documents.

Said documents was sent more than a month after the interviewed but did not rcvd any noticed from the

embassy if the documents submitted was correct or not . After several follow ups, It took about 4 months

before we got a reply and informing us that the dox we sent was just a scanned copy and not accpetable,

We again submitted another dox but my medical exam & NBI clearance was already expired & the embassy

required me to send these dox. These dox was just completed this month & received noticed that I need to make

an appointment for another interview & submit the DS 260 once again.

Do you have any idea why I have to undergo another interview? Is it because of my renewed passport &

the one previously submitted was no longer valid?

    Pls help advise.

    Thanks

  3. Hello Friends,

My visa is under process as I need to submit an additional documents.

I just have several concerns before my visa release.

1/ My passport was already at local embassy but I wanted to renew it coz its validity

will end next year. Passport have not been renewed at the time we submitted the

application as we thought that I will get my visa in less than 1 yr and my passort

will still valid in 3 yrs then. However, my visa application have not been released yet due to

some reasons and its now running 2 yrs. Can I withdraw back my passport from the local

embassy and renewed it before my visa released? The name indicated on my passport is

still my maiden name and I'm planning to change it with my married name.

2/ My husband's residence was change. how are we going to process or file the change of address

from our application. I am worried that my green card will be sent to the older address once i

    get to America.

3/ My visa application was filed when our marriage is less than 2 yrs and from what I heard, the application

is CR1 visa but if more than 2 yrs should be IR1 visa. Will my appluication be automatically change to IR1 visa

instead of cr1 visa. It will be a big advantage if I will be granted a IR1 visa since the green card's validity will

be 2 yrs. Should we need to apply to chnage the visa application?

    Please help advise.

    Thanks a lot.

  4. If the embassy said they got the document, they probably simply didn't enter it into the computer for NVC to see.

What document was it they wanted? If it is something like a birth cert, and it was late registered, they may be doing their own background/ security checks on it.

    hi penguin_ie,

yes it was birth cert., my case has no name on it, my parent's surname only appeared on BC...your reply makes me relieved somehow...thanks :)

do u think it will took more than 6 months to settle everything? how would i make sure that they already rcvd the document aside from the info from courrier?

  5. Hi All,

During the interview, i was required to submit additional document was submitted 3 days after the interview. Have rcvd a call from local embassy here a day after they rcvd my doucments informing me that the one I submitted is not what they required. The correct documents was sent a month after the interview date as processing had took several days. We never rcvd anything from the embassy after that so we assumed that everything is ok and im very sure that i have sent the correct documents.Have even checked with the courier and confirmed with me that documents have been delivered to them. After a month of waiting, I made a follow with local embassy through their hot line but all they said is that my visa is still in process, same thing appeared with ceac website and until now.. It's now running 3 months and we did not received the visa yet. My husband called the NVC to make follow up about this as he did not rcvd a concrete answer from local hotline.NVC told us that the 2nd documents didn't show a receipt from the system.

Is it possible that my documents was misplaced? what do u think is the best thing to do as we don't know where we at now and we can't make plans bec of thhis.

Another concern also is that my medical check up will expire and it's hassle to re do it. Please help advice.

    Thank you.

  6. Based on the timeline, OP is potentially in the US and waiting for the physical green card in the mail. IF so, then yes, you can work. The stamp on you passport when you entered the US is proof of your green card and allows you to work.

Your green card should arrive in the mail within 1 or two months.

    Hello...

what do u mean OP...I'm sorry I'm not familiar with acronyms or abbreviations.

The proof in my passport that I'm holding immigrant visa will not be enough.. 1 month or 2 months will be a long wait for me to get a job.

Really wanted to work as soon as I get to US as aside from wanting to have my own income, it will also ease my boredom.

    Thanks/angie

  7. Are you referring to the ORIGINAL email that told you to get these documents ready? Or did you receive another email after your interview? This sounds like the instructions from prior to your interview.

Were you given a piece of paper at the interview telling you how long you had? Did the officer tell you?

Either way you should respond as soon as possible so as to not delay the process any further. Get the documents ready and send them in as soon as you can.

    >>>i overlook this requirement on the mails i received before the interview date and was look from me during the interview date. they said that they will

going to send an email to me again to prepare this requirement. it was stated from that email that no respond within a year will mean void of

    the whole application.

    >>>no i didn't get such advise

I overlook the email before my interview date and was not able to prepare this documents.

I have checked from the office where I need to secure this documents and learned that this document can be released in 3 weeks time.

My passport was already taken from local embassy and i was told that my passport & visa will be release as soon as I send said documents.

Will it be alright if will took a while to send this documents? will it be alright if my passport will stay there for quite sometime?

    Please help.

    thanks and God bless everyone.

  9. Is he not required to file taxes? If so then perhaps they are looking for a letter from him explaining this?

So than with the petitioners I-864 documents did he write a brief explanation of why he wasn't required to file taxes? Seems like thats what he needed to do if he didn't.

Hi Ms. Hogan & dwheels 76,

This is also my thinking. Anyway, we'll just letter explaining the reason of not paying taxes.

    Thanks so much :)

  10. Hi Everyone,

  11. Hi Everyone,

We were just confused from the noticed we recently received from the NVC. It says there that their already received the documents needed to complete the processing of our visa but we did not submitted anything yet for the additional documents they are requiring after we received the notice.

It also says there that they might require some documents during the interview.

We are planning to change our co sponsor for some reasons and we have not done it yet. what if they schedule the interview and require me to bring the lacking documents from my original co sponsor. Wi ll this affect my application? Please help advise.

    Thanks :)
