These transfers have been occurring from the California Service Center for 6 months now. There doesn't seem to be any evidence that a transfer makes things quicker or slower. Seems more like a procedural/administrative move.

We received a status update online that our case was received at out local office in february, which would be Dallas but at infopass they said CSC still had it.

Hey sweetiebaby, The wording of the case status gives us the cue. If the case was truly transferred to local office or NBC, then the case status would say “case was transferred and another office has jurisdiction” and actual notice letters would be sent ( there are 2 cases like that at my lawyer office and those filers only filed for ROC). Last time I was at the field office in  Irving TX, the officer told me that they are seriously back-logged.

    That’s what I’ve gathered lol. 🙉

Hi guys, Im new to VJ and been following your post. April 2017 Filer at CSC. Got the same update Case Received at Local office on Feb 26th, submitted 2 case inquiry plus went to local office for a I-551 stamp about not receiving transfer notice and they said case still at CSC. Any Approval or RFE or interview notice for April 2017 at CSC?

Hi! Somewhat relieved to see your post! My husband and I went to infopass for I551 stamp in Irving Tx yesterday. Received same online update, “case transferred to local office” in February without receiving any mail notifications. Worker told us case not at that office, still in California too! Got the stamp and really no additional info other than expect a really long wait 😫 So at least you’re not the only one.

  4. We received an RFE, what I would like to know is, why didn't receive this earlier? Because they lost it I would say.... Wait a whole year to give us one? Now I'm worried we'll get another one for medical. Do you think they will or would they have sent that with this RFE? Ugghh wish I could stop obsessing over it lol.

    Sweetie Baby....

I am so ready for this part of our journey to be over with.

Quick question??? Did you get an official RFE or just a letter from the field office and instructed to send it back to them?

    Best of LUCK!

  5. Hey PCV, we received same RFE 5/28, they signed for it on June 2nd after overnight delivery to Fairfax VA office (we're all the way in Texas) Very frustrating to know we included the marriage cert in our original packet! Online status has never been updated since "fingerprint...." We received our waiver letter 12/31. Hope we hear something soon!!!!!

Same thing here. The field office received the information they requested on June 2nd via Fedex. The only thing I have is the notification of delivery from Fedex.

Our notice was a "Continuance Letter" from the field office. They asked for our marriage certificate. (even though it was included in the original AOS documents).

I sure you are ready to be done with this process also.

I hope you guys hear something soon!

  6. [Hi Belga, my husband's medical is expired and we're just waiting on that cute lil RFE he's sure to receive. Sooo, I started researching and just googled "cheapest medical exam immigration dallas, texas" it brought up a clinic and their website stated $65, however I called and it was $85 for an adult. That still beats $400-$1000! So I'd advise you do the same and search in your area. I also made sure the attending doctor was listed on USCIS approved examiners. Hops this helps ☺️

Thanks for the response :) Mine expired too since it has been there for one year :(

But my goodness $1000 ? for vaccination and blood test plus xray for TB ? wow that is too much ! are there any cheap CS for less than $250 ? I will absolutely shop and bargain lol appreciate your advice .

I wish you the best luck , plz keep me updated .

  8. My husband applied for AP 5-6 months after sending in I-485 because we mistakenly thought we would not need it. There was no additional fee, just made a copy of I -797 showing he had a pending application and a copy of his passport ID. We even stated on the application his reason for returning to Ireland was to visit his son. They approved it within a month. We weren't exactly sure of the dates we would travel so we just put the first of March. We heave not used it yet tho.

  9. Hi there! I had copies of Skype and viber logs and it just showed the back and forth of our names on Skype but our phone numbers and names on the viber log. I also included cell phone bills including our numbers when wifi or 3G was not availabe. I grouped all the skype logs and put a cover sheet stapled to the stop stating "SKYPE CALL LOGS" And so forth for each means of communication. We were approved and it's now on its way to the visa center! I just made sure to have plenty of proof of an ongoing relationship. They said it's better to go forward with submitting it in the beginning as opposed to getting RFE and having to submit it anyway later. Wouldn't hurt tho to put ur names on them if there is no where showing your names. Good luck to you!!!!

  10. Oh my God!!! The USCIS received my application I-129F K1 on October 10, 2013. Last night (November 6), the USCIS sent me an email that said my application was approved. Thank you Jesus. Thank you my Lord.
