  1. Hello everyone,

I need some advice about filing for a waiver I 751 case. Our marriage was in good faith and was excellent until we just had a miscarriage a month ago. It has torn us apart. We have one other child already, but I just feel I can't be happy - with anyone. But I want to continue to reside in the USA for my daughter, I'm terrified of being deported.

My question is, once I file for divorce - am I able to move out of the residence I was living in with my husband? Will that go against me when I file for my I 751? Do I have to wait until I get a "final divorce" agreement before I should move out of the residence with him?

I just can't bare to live in the same place and I was going to rent an apartment with a male coworker and I am also worried that immigration would think that is suspicious of adultery?

    Please help,

I feel so lost and broken and I just don't want to lose my daughter on top of the child I just lost.

    Thanks everyone

  2. They will give you another I-551 stamp when the old one is running out. Misinformation line is wrong, it can take 30 days (which is also why they gave you a 30 day stamp for now).

it has been almost 9 business days for you; I bet you'll hear something next weiek. :)

Ok, so they won't give me a hard time because I don't have my NOA? I'm just worried because I have 6 exams in June... This is a headache!

  3. Hello, I've posted on here a week ago because my green card had the wrong info in it, so I sent it in with form i 90.

It was "delivered" by USPS to the lockbox in Phoenix on May 2nd. I have not received an NOA from USCIS yet?

All other cases I've had with the USCIS I've received an NOA within 7 days?

I have no idea if it's been lost, and hasn't even been accepted by USCIS?

    So what do I do?

I made an infopass appointment for May 28th, because my temporary i 551 stamp was only a "30 day" stamp because they wouldn't give me a full year stamp until I mailed out my green card and had proof of my NOA. Well....Now the ending of May is approaching and I don't have "proof" of an NOA because the USCIS still hasn't sent one out...I have to commute back to Canada for school every week, so I can't not be able to cross the border.

    What's everyones advice?

    Thanks,

    Katie

  4. My husband is a Moroccan citizen. He came here in December of 2013 and his K1 visa is now expired. We have filed for adjustment of status at the begining of March and have been approved for advanced parole. We just recieved two documents in the mail.

Two of our good friends are getting married on a cruise in Nov of this year. It looks like the Oklahoma City office is behind on processing times for AOS and most likely my husband we still not have his green card by Novemeber.

My question is this, has anyone gone on a cruise with an AP document before? Did border patrol have any issues with that?

The cruise is to Mexico, Cayman Islands, and Jamaica. I looked into each one and it looks like they do not recuire visas for cruise passengers, so my only concern is getting back into the US. I'm feeling a bit paranoid about that. The last thing I want is for him to be denied rentry because he didn't leave the US for "urgent humanitarian reasons."

Anybody who can help set my mind at ease it would be much appreciated. We really dont want to miss our friends wedding or we would have just waited until he had he green card to leave the country.

Not sure if you already booked this, but my husband and I almost booked a cruise with my AP and carnival, princess, and royal carribean cruise lines ALL said I needed to be a "permanent" resident to go on a cruise. As did our travel agent, so I would definitely contact someone from the actual cruise line you are planning on going on. We ended up planning our honeymoon in Dominican so we were safe from any issues.

    Good luck.

  5. Yes u r right I have to apply for AP. That doc for travel right? Do u know do I have pay a fee for it? I hope I won't wait long for that too.

I didn't overstay I came here with k1 visa n send the doc on the time. On my intervew they said we r ok but needs to send more documents. That i did all theu wanted. So there is soon will be a year wo answer. During the waiting I get pregnent n they understood in the intervew. It can be affected some how on my process

The AP takes roughly 3-4 months to receive... It would've been a lot easier had you applied for an AP with your AOS application because it's free...I'm not entirely sure if you will now have to pay for it or not. Hopefully someone else has that answer.

  6. We did the same thing, same address per USCIS instructions. Actually made an InfoPass appointment before we sent it back to get the I-551 stamp. We got a NOA1 or I-797 acknowledging receipt about two weeks after we sent it in with new MSC number. You should get a biometrics appointment within 30 days of receipt, we didn't and thus another InfoPass appointment. We were told last month it is taking 9-12 months to isusue replacement GCs (really, a year for a replacement?) and thus my wife got her second I-551 stamp.

Thanks for your time line, wow what a wait...It's quite frustrating! I haven't received an NOA yet, hopefully soon so I can ensure they actually are working on my case.

  7. Hey all, I posted a question last week but it was moved to some other forum which I can't locate? SO I'll ask it again and hopefully someone can help me out...

My green card had an error on it, USCIS made a mistake...SO I filed form i-90 and sent in the green card, and got a 30 day i-551 stamp from the local USCIS office, and they told me once I receive my letter that they had received my old green card they would give me a year i-551 stamp so I can still travel, and work while my new green card is being made...

I mailed this package out on April 29th, and it said "delivered" as per the USPS tracking number on May 2nd to the Phoenix lockbox...I have yet to receive a case number and or a letter saying they received my green card.

Is this a normal wait time to receive a letter? Or is my green card lost?

    Thanks,

    Katie

  8. I just received my green card in the mail, and it says I became a resident 04/10/13...Which is incorrect, I became a resident 04/10/14 (They put the wrong year) which means my removal of conditions is essentially NEXT april, instead of 2 Aprils from now. It should be 2016...I called USCIS and they told me the wait time is 3-7.5 months for a new resident card to be printed!? I need my green card for travelling purposes, to my home country (Canada), and also to Dominican Republic for our honeymoon...

What the heck do I do?

    Thanks,

    Katie

  9. Just be honest, and look them in the eye...If you have nothing to hide and you're genuine, it will work out. They didn't ask me for my DL, or my SSN. He barely even asked us 10 questions. I gave him 6 pictures of us, and we were approved within 20 minutes.

  10. Thanks for the help, I'll try that tommorow..They didn't give me anything and told me not to internationally travel until I receive it. I didn't really see this as an issue I didn't have any pressing issues at the time, but now we have a family member who died and the next availavle info pass appointment is in 2 weeks to get an emergency AP. Im worried they'll have to re order me a new one and it'll take another month. Which I cant afford, I have university graduation, a baby shower and a funeral to attend this month.
