  1. Hello,

We have applied for my wife's removal of conditions in March 2017, but it has been a long time waiting for the completion of the process.  Since it has been more than a year, she had gotten an I-551 stamp in February which allowed her to travel out of the country.  The I-551 stamp is now expiring again, and she will once again go and get another stamp.  Unfortunately there is no infopass appointment before the i-551 expires.  Is this an issue?  From what I have read, the i-551 pass is just for proof of status while in the ROC limbo and doesn't really affect status.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi everyone,

Quick follow-up question on this. We received the following in the mail from the expedite group that we were told to contact.

"USCIS records indicate your case is currently at the Missouri Service Center. Please send your expedite request to that office. Thank you."

Do any of you know if this refers to the Kansas City or Saint Louis Service Center? Would anyone have the relevant contact information for that location?

    Thank you!

  3. We were waiting for the card, but because it didn't arrive by end of October, we finally made an InfoPass appointment. While making the appointment we realized that we could check the status online (i know - rookie mistake). We didn't actually know that the card had been mailed out in September until this past weekend.

We have a case open with the USPS. We will be attending our InfoPass appointment on Wednesday, but want to identify the best course of action before then. We don't really need the EAD at this point - the AP is most critical.

    We could:

    1. Reapply for I-131 and file an emergency case to get it expedited.
    2. Try to have the GC process expedited so that we have it before travel at the beginning of December. We applied for AOS on July 19th.

We live in a housing subdivision with individual houses, so chances of mail getting mixed up are minimal (this is the first time we've had our mail misplaced that we know of).

    Thanks!

  4. Hi everyone,

We've been using VisaJourney for our K-1/AOS process and you all have been super helpful. We just ran into an big road block and wanted to get your advice. We filed the I-131 and I-765 in mid-July and received the 797C in a few days. We had the biometrics appointment in August.

We haven't yet received the EAD card or the Advance Parole papers yet, and when I check the USCIS website, I see that the update for the AP receipt, it says: "On September 15, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice."

The EAD receipt status also says:

    Card/ Document Production

The USPS reported that your new card was delivered on September 20, 2014, directly to the address we had on file. The USPS tracking number assigned was 9205592338400145591856. You can use this number at www.usps.com to view the detailed tracking information recorded by USPS for the mailed card.

It has been more than a month since the approvals and my wife needs to travel in a month. At this point, we assume that the AP is on the EAD card since we had applied together. Do you have any recommendations on how we might be able to get a replacement card?

Is that the best option or should we reapply for the AP as an emergency?

    Thank you!
