  1. Hello! Glad to "see" familiar users after almost 2 years. I hope you are all doing great with your family...

I am getting ready to mail in my package next week and I am curious what did you put in your package besides the form ... like friends affidavit's, copy of bills, photos (how many) etc.

I would appreciate if someone will share. Thank you! Let's hope for a smooth & short wait till we get PGC.

  2. Hello, everyone! I have received my Green card today. I am finally relieved that I have it in my hands.

I want to thank each and every one of you for sharing your story, your problems, you questions and your answers. I will try to step away from this forum for a while, even I know will be difficult because it became a routine, as checking my email. I consider you all my friends... but now I should start focusing more on my pregnancy that reading immigration forums. (L)

I wish you all very quick approvals, happy live next to your beloved spouse!

We will be sharing a forum in about 21 months for ROC.

  3. I received the Welcome to America letter today. Mine came from Lee Summit, it that where they all come from.

The week before my approval, I called USCIS and they told me my case was still in the Lee "prison"Summit. I wonder if my case ever left from there? Is there a way to find out? Not that I am that curious anyway...I've been approved, just waiting for them to mail my card. Maybe because they are so backed up, they can approve them at NBC...

  4. Hello everybody again

I have tried to check my eligibility to work in the United State on the dhl website. This call E-verify and will use to identify if we are allowed to work here.

    https://selfcheck.uscis.gov/SelfCheckUI/

Before I get GC, it worked and I am eligible to work in USA. But now, after I filled in my info. It said that my info is not in US gov database. I'm so surprised and panic what happen with me.

If you guys don't mind, could you try this? just wondering if they forgot to register me as permanent resident as I did not receive that kind of update for my GC.

    Thanks :crying:

You should give them a few days for your status to "clear" ... I had the same problem when i went to get my SSN with my married name after i received the EAD...

I know, is weird...even though they are the ones who issue the document, it is not "in the system" yet.

  6. I am finally getting back to tell you guys what I talked with Tier 2 today. First, the 69 minutes end up being 130 minutes actually (I guess USCIS just likes to give half of the time that they will be giving you an answer on anything... phone call, approval etc). The officer said he had no access to my file so he just asked me to give him the receipt number and other verification questions. then he put me on hold of 2 minutes, came back and said he can't see any specific reason why my case is not moving and he suggested to do a SR to find out why is still in Lee Summit.

I mentioned that about the forum and there are a lot of people that filled after me and they were approved already, some within 2-3 months from filling. He said that is not accurate information because each case is different by 100% and can't compare them. (such BS).

So now I am just waiting for a for a new SR response. My case online has this assigned: "As of March 24, 2015, your general inquiry, referral number WKDxxxxxxxxxxMSC, is currently not assigned for processing."

  7. Good luck, although unfortunately I doubt you will get past tier 1 and they probably wont know much other than the script they are given and told to use when we ring up asking why there is a delay!

Shell, tier 1 was surprisingly easy... she was just going with the script with zip code, oh yes you are outside processing times blah blah blah...you want me to make a new SR? I said no, I would like to speak with a Tier 2... she said ok and put me through.... i was surprised too.

The automated call said 69 minutes wait for the call back.... i am waiting for 85 already.

  8. I called USCIS right now, just because I am so sick of waiting. Last week i submitted an inquiry to the ombudsman ...

Tier 1 offered to file another SR for me, but I said no, I want to speak with Tier 2. She said OK, connected me to that...now I am waiting for the call back... estimated waiting time 69 minutes.

I know Tier 2 is not too helpful, but I just to get done with this thing...

Come on USCIS, press those GREEN buttons!!!
