  1. I got this message today:

Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service

On May 10, 2018, the Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for Receipt Number WAC1704xxxxxxx. We mailed your card to the address you gave us. The tracking number assigned is 92055XXXXXXXXXXXX. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section. If you did not receive the card, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I was not hoping this but I saw USPS and I will get my card tomorrow, so happy!

Ive just checked our case status and no change.  I do know when we went for our stamp our field officer said from now on all I-751's will be processed at your local field offices.

As for now the same status we've had for over a year.

If you have to travel dont wait so long to get an infopass and ask for the stamp, I went last week and they made me come back today because they had to ask for my fingerprints and proof my identity (silly huh) they told me they have to do that every 15 months, I am a November Filer.

So I filed N400 the day I became eligible which is Oct 23rd 2017 under 3 year rule. Got my NOA1 with a priority date October 26, 2017. And then went to my biometric in November 16 2017. And On January 10th 2018 they scheduled me for an Interview for Feb 14th. So, My interview went pretty smooth. He basically went straight to the civic test and I passed after 6 questions. He told me to write 1 sentence that he dectated. And after that he told me that I passed and we went over my application. After that he handed me a paper that has checked on it stating that I passed but the decision cannot be made yet. The reason for that was my officer has to review my ROC first that CSC sent to his office. And yesterday my status was updated that I was placed of an oath. Good luck on yours .

Thank you for the info :)

Quick update. USCIS update their page.

    As of October 31st

CSC is processing August 20th 2016

VSC is processing November 14th 2016

I just went to get my Stamp and I will have to come back,They want to check my fingerprints, the person there told me they update the fingerprints every 15 months which is right now in my case. For the people who already applied for the citizen what did you send when they ask about the permanent Green card? I was reading the online application and I dont know what to send if I only have the temporary one, thanks

I scheduled info-pass and it was hard for me to find available appointment. Advise to everyone, you are not the only one we are all in the same skin. Soon or later everything is going to be alright, we are good people there is no room for stress. I lost my job no one wants to hire me with extension papers. This is shock for our house budget we have bills to pay we have to eat to pay taxes in February. I had scheduled surgery and my insurance kicked me off for not being eligible for policy( they said your papers is going to expire we need a proof) Good help us. I'm going to take stamp in passport if is possible.

Laza, I am so sorry about your job  but you are right! We are gonna be fine, I was planning to call Uscis only if I dont get my GC by December, We were planning to travel to my country but we had to use the money for more important things so everything happens for a reason and I dont have to worried about my GC, we are planning to travel next year.. Good Luck everybody!

    Thanks for the update, ElinP!

I'll also eventually make an appointment directly with USCIS, but not until we're outside of our normal processing time (currently 6 months, as per their webpage). Following the May 2016 thread, one learns that although many from CSC have gotten approval, there are still quite a few lingering, with the majority in the June thread that have yet to receive it (also outside of normal processing time, according to the website).

Based on stats from VJs own timelines, right after I filed (one of the first in November), it said that I should expect a decision (unless we get a RFEs) by June 7, which would be almost 8 months; so that's exactly when I am hoping to get it, give or take 30 days.

I'll be traveling out of the country soon, but then I left a substantial buffer in between other travel commitments so that we can deal with anything USCIS throws at us, be it a RFE, interview, or hopefully, an approval!

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!

I was in Canada on December and I didnt have any problem. I was worried because I am changing my name with the new GC so My extension letter has my new name (only my husband lastname) I had my married certificate and some wedding pics and my husband with me lol

  7. Hi guys, I had my biometris today, I went to the appointment one hour early and everything was very fast, less that 5 minutes. Me and my husband were the only people there, the place was empty! I was worried that they take my green card but they only asked for it and gave me the green card back.

Now is time to wait! I was reading California is taking 7 months for the process, what do you think?

I just said the same...it looks like California is taking 6 to 7 months to approved, finger crossed!

I have been keeping eye on May 16 filers and looks like lot of them are approved already. So I would say the next step is just to wait for another 6 months and we will definitely hear something back.

  8. Thanks! I wanted to have more time to get ready for the party LOL but I guess I could be ready early and go to my appointment with my hair and makeup done :dancing:

I would say, try Thursday but in the PM when they seem to be less busy.

You can point out that the appointment is for the day after, but that you have a commitment and it may be cutting it close. They're usually pretty accommodating, unless they're super busy.

    Good luck!

P.S. You could also try a few days before, in case they're not flexible, and they tell you that you need to be there on THAT specific day.

  9. I think like you and I dont trust USCIS so I prefer to wait and have everything perfect and ready with time plus I am already with my love, it is not like when I was in my country waiting.

Absolutely (I'm a pessimist and always like to make sure I don't get too excited, especially with USCIS). If it comes to that, hell yeah I would do it.

I also like to plan ahead, and have already filled out pretty much all fields of the N-400, so that all I have to do next year is make sure I have the current form. For people with several trips per year out of the country, it can be time consuming, so I also already added all of the travels past and future that is already known to me.

  10. I completely understand RE using a law firm. The thing with me (and with you as well, I'm assuming, since you are here on VJ!) is that I am a total control freak (nah!), and so I always end up doing the research anyway, to have extra peace of mind! LOL

Here's to NO additional fees for the I-551 stamp. I'll still be curious to know what the firm says once they read USCIS asked for his GC back.

My husband talked with two lawyers before the process but we decided to do everything by ourselves, I am a lawyer in my country so my husband thought it would help, it was a pain in the ### for me! we saved money so my husband was able to travel 7 times to Peru.

Now I am in a Peruvian facebook group and here of course because I am a control freak too lol I was reading about the new green card process during months then I had everything ready a month before I had to send everything but we moved and I had to wait!

We are planning to travel to Canada in December but I never hear about uscis taking the green card, I am a little worried about that I dont want any problem with immigration.

  11. True, I feel the same way that even I felt I get my biometric letter very fast. it's a completely different and relax experience when you are with your husband :)

My application was delivered to the ca service center on Friday so I'm hoping this week I will get my NOA 1 ?

I'm not too worried about the wait time this time around. It's not like I'm stuck in NZ away from my husband or stuck in involuntary unemployment this time ?

    LOL Yes! Thank you!

Calculation predicts your biometrics will be on 9 December 2016.

    9 December! Excellent! Congrats!

PS: the math worked! hehehehe :-)
