  1. Sponsor's (your son)- if you list him as a dependent and claim a deduction on your US income tax, then he is a household member. Otherwise blank on form I-864.

    Joint sponsor--

Did you include anything in your original submission that indicated the husband's separate earnings? Letter of employment, pay stubs? Or was a joint tax return all you sent?

Husband does not work... we just got married and still waiting on his work authorization... Joint tax is all I sent....

  2. I 864 for sponsor:

Income you are using from any other person :Background information: I have a joint sponsor(friend) who has filed jointly with his wife is on his tax transcript.

She is a housewife and has no income but is on the tax transcript as wife on the taxes.

    I have to file the I 864A with our sponsor's I 864.

I will have 2 I 864's(one for myself as the petitioner and one from our sponsor(friend).

    QUESTION1:

    I 864(for myself)

    Part 5. Sponsor's Household size

#4, If you have dependent children, enter the number here.

Would I put 1, or leave blank

I have one son who is a USA citizen but has not lived in USA since he was 4 years old. He's living with his father. My son has residence visa and lives in UAE. My son has not been in usa since he was 4 and now he's 10 yrs. old. The last legal document that I have is that I have full custody of him in USA.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated... I have debated on this question for a few days now....

    Question2:

    (I 864 for Sponsor)

    Part 6

as counted in your household size. In certain conditions, the intending immigrant.(See Instructions.) Please indicate name, relationship and income.

    6a Name: sponsor's wife's name

    6bRelationship: Wife

6cCurrent Income: Would this be 0, blank, or husband's income listed on the joint taxes????

(wife is housewife and no work history) just filed on the joint taxes with her husband.

    Question3:

    I 864A(Spsonsor's wife)

    Part 1

She has filed jointly on her husband taxes.

#10 My current individual annual income is

(would she put 0, blank, none, or her husband's income that listed on the taxes)????

Any help on these 3 questions would be appreciated as I have debated on these for past few days...

    Thanks...

  3. Hi, even though you do not meet income requirement, you still have to fill out affidavit of support. You the petitioner/sponsor, have to fill out and sign a separate form and sign. Check box A. Also the sponsor fills out a separate form and check box D. Hope this is of some help to you good luck!

So I would need to fill out 2 I 864 forms, is this correct... You are saying that my sponsor needs to fill out another form???

  4. Background information- I am Petitioner filling on behalf of my husband. I do not meet the income requirements to sponsor my husband so I have a sponsor(1) who does meet the requirements. I am including my 1099's and bank statement with the I 864.

On the I 864 on question 1 would it be 1a. I am the petitioner. I filed or am filing for the immigration of my relative. or would it be

1e I am the first or second of two joint sponsors.

Part 4 they are asking for sponsor's information... This is where I would put my sponsors information at, is this correct(not my information)????

Any help from you guys would be really appreciated... As this is a correction for an RFE and at this point a little stressed out so trying to figure all this out on my own...

The message that I got on the RFE was that the form I 864, Affidavit of support, was submitted however, it was not from the petitioner/sponsor.

On the I 864 i put all my sponsor's information on the form and none of my information was included, and signature page was my sponsors signature not mine.

  5. what was the question he answered wrong?

She asked him why didn't I see him in 2011 when I came to visit since we started talking in dec. 2010. The correct answered would of been: (he does not remember how he answered it all I know is that he was upset how he answered it, meaning the question caught him off guard.) I understand why she asked him the question as I've been going to UAE since 2005 and use to live there also. Staying there with my ex made things very difficult due to our son, So I didn't do any dating(UAE) till my dad came there and I could get away from the flat. My ex is remarried but very controlling, as he has my son too.

I first started to talk to Rebecca in the end of 2010, however we didn’t become serious till our first meeting, (Aug 2nd 2012) after meeting our parents. Rebecca (my fiancé) did visit to United Arab Emirates in 2011 to see her son, but was not serious with me. Rebecca was still dating in America. At this time Rebecca is only talking to Afzal in a romantic way and considers him as her fiancé, other half. We made a commitment to each other in Aug of 2012. (Meaning I would only see him and he would only see me as we were planning for marriage).

The embassy now has made two phone calls so far, one to his big brother and other to his dad and the call interviews went will and they confirmed our relationship and gave there approval to us getting married.

  6. What do you think?

We are doing the K-1 visa and been on AP for over a year now. He had his 2nd interview yesterday. They asked him 50-60 questions from what I was told, and hr worth of interview questions and he still didn't get an approval or denial yesterday. They said to give them two weeks for finial decision. What do you think???? He did OK on his interview except for the last Question, I had to write to them to clear that up. Not sure if they got my email or not. If we get an denial I was told by a friend to go ahead and get married to him and start the process from there. That means I would have to fly out to Pakistan and hang out for a while there and then come back to USA and do the waiting game again. Any suggestions or comments????

  7. The embassy wrote me and said this: 2 weeks has passed and starting on the 3rd week today. We have not heard from them so what do you think of the email. Also he was on Administrative processing, and now it says review. We've been on AP since April 9th 2013. When do you think he'll get the visa?

    Dear Rebecca,

Thank you for your Mar. 12, 2014 email. We regret to inform you that your fiancée’s visa case is still undergoing administrative review. It may takes a few more weeks to complete. For further updates, please keep visiting our website.

  8. we needed to drop off additional documents, as we did... We were told twice that the case was completed and they took passport and no visa. Still waiting as more work needs to be done on their side. We have been put on AP for 10 months now, and still waiting, and the after turning in the paperwork it's been 8 months of waiting. All we can do is set back and wait. We've got 2 senators involved and no answer of yet on our case. This has put a hold on our life and not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

  9. HI Carie_Azan,

Thanks.... We complied to all the requirements, we should be fine but long wait is killing us.. sad.png so anxious....
