Received NOA2 on September 17 and just like most of you guys still waiting for our approved petitions to get to the NVC. We all know the scripted answers they give us when speaking to an agent at NVC. And at times been frustrating, not finding a consistent pattern how this whole thing gets worked on.
So I called USCIS and asked politely to be transferred to Tier 2. Followed to the teeth suggestions noted on this thread how to talk to these people. First level was very nice and eager to help. Tier 2 was kinda rude but kept my composure. These are people who gets paid with our tax money. I expect some TLC but guess that's wishful thinking. Anyways, the bottom line is she created a service request to have my file processed and be sent to NVC. Don't know if that's a good thing. Does this mean that they haven't yet? How long does it take to put a file in a packet and ship out? Grrrrr ! She also mentioned that I should get a mail from them in 1 to 10 days informing me when our file is leaving their premises. Another Grrrrr !!!!
This prompted me to create an account here and share my frustrations. It does help venting out. LOL. I guess i won't be calling NVC for a while. What's the point !!!!
Later fellows ....
Hello members ... Woke up early this morning and thought of calling NVC. After 45 minutes of being on hold, an agent got on the phone and asked the customary questions. Gave her the receipt number and to my surprise she began asking questions related to the petition. On the back of my head, i was telling myself this is different while I replied to her questions.
To make the long story short, we got our case number. After 58 days of waiting. One thing we can get out of this is that it doesn't take (I hope for you guys waiting) 80 days.
I called Friday late night and told me that they don't have my file yet. Still can't figure out what they meant when they say "don't have your case yet". But YAY for me.
Good luck to all. Now it's to schedule the interview !!!!!

Same as ours here...I129F approved on September 20...Called earlier but NVC has not received anything for us yet...Guess we just need to wait and be patient..
I suggest you call USCIS and politely demand to be transferred to Tier 2. Thats what I did this morning. The agent opened a service ticket on my behalf to have my paperworks transferred to NVC. She said i should be getting something in the mail no later than Nov 6 notifying me when they will send it to NVC. So obviously me and most of our files are still in their possesion.
Good luck !
