  1. Ok so my Fiancée had her appointment on 9 June and except for having 2 interviews everything else seemed ok and she was told she was approved.

(She mentioned she had to do her fingerprints several times but they both thought it had finally worked)

Well today she got an email and a phone call from the Younger American guy who does the interviews and he says that everything is still in order EXCEPT the fingerprint scanner didn't capture her fingerprints.

He now says she has to travel back to London to redo the fingerprints. A very big hassle, BUT the main issue is that the ONLY photo ID she has is her passport which the Embassy has.

Does anyone know of any other way to get into the Embassy without photo ID? (He did say she would be on a VIP list and would not have to queue with everyone else)

    She has no drivers license.

Of course she has bank cards, national insurance card and birth certificate.

    Any help or suggestions?

  2. Well today my Fiancée went to her interview at the London Embassy for her K-1 and 3 K-2 visas.

I will write up the full report in the London Embassy Interview review in a second.

I have read many interviews on here and what happened to her stood out.

She actually had 2 separate interviews with the second guy asking almost the same but slightly worded differently questions. The first guy took all the paperwork, the second guy only asked questions.

My fiancée and I have been together since 2011 lived together for 9 months in the UK (I was US Air Force) before I moved back to the States. She also lived with me for 3 months in 2012 here in the USA.

The first guy doing the interview actually said something like "your not just a quick online dating thing are you" he had all the proof from our I-129F package in-front of him of our living together.

Anybody else hear of this happening?

We are approved so I am not complaining... just curious.

Going to type up the review now.

  3. Ok I have been doing the research on flying my Fiancée and 3 step kids to Atlanta as POE near the end of June but cannot find anything under $5000. But I can find flights to Orlando for $3700 that connects in Atlanta... We will be living near Birmingham, AL

I do not really want to put them thru a 10 hour Car drive after their flight from the UK so was wondering what the possibility of me having them disembark in Atlanta and go thru there as the POE? Negating the rest of the flight. You have to collect your luggage in Atlanta for customs anyway so that is not an issue.

(The flight does not leave Atlanta for over 18 hrs anyway so they would be stuck in Atlanta waiting for the flight to Orlando) I could probably even call and cancel the rest of their flight since they have such a long layover.

    Any input?

  4. I sent her a new notarized letter of intent just last month so that should be ok.

I have read several posts on here where others did NOT need a separate I-134 at the London interview so now I am more confused. She has 2 copies of my I-134 with wet signature one dated in February and one dated last month. (I got promotion as well as worried the letter would be close to 6 months late)

I said we got the Packet 3 but actually it was just a letter stating her interview date (nothing about what to bring).

We have done the DS-160 as well as paid the MRV fee for her and all 3 children.

  5. Ok did a proper search and it looks like I only need on I-134 as long as the kids are listed on it.

But what DO the K-2s need photocopied. It keeps mentioning packet 3 but we never got anything saying packet 3.

I have seen people list packet 3 items, but seems not all of them list the same items.

  6. My fiancée has her appointment on Monday and I just realized I may have missed some paperwork.

Does each K2 require duplicates of all the forms she needs? paystubs, tax forms and such?

She can copy all the forms for each K2, but does she need an original wet signature I-134 for each minor child (Under 10)?

I just sent her a new I-134 since the old one was almost 6 months old.

  7. So my Fiancée has her interview in London on the 9th of June, anyone else going to be there that day?

The question I have is that she is bringing her mom to London with her and was wondering if it possible for her mom to go in with her?

I did see a post on here about no family being allowed in, BUT when you do the ready for interview website it asks if you are bringing a family member with you to the interview and has a place for their details.

I have already started telling her to tell her mom to go shopping or sit in a Café, but it was hard enough to even get her mom to agree to go to London with her.

Also has anyone else done a K2 visa at the same time for Children? What questions have you been asked? We got a letter (one example letter I got here from VJ) from the father saying she can take the child to America and he is fully aware and consents and he signed it and gave his details. Anyone have an issue doing this? Anyone have an issue at POE?

    Thanks for all the help.

  8. I recently retired and I am working on the K-1 Visa for my fiancée as well as K-2 for my future step children.

my question the that last time I got a military ID card I was required to have 2 photo IDs. Is this the same for dependents? She will have her passport as well as her 10 year old daughter, but neither of them have any other legal photo ID.

She will also have SSN and birth certificate as well as our marriage certificate.

Anyone else have this issue come up?

  9. My fiancée and her 3 children went to the medical interview at the Bentinck Mansions on Wednesday 5 February. If anyone seen her with her brother and the 3 children they would remember her, lol she would have been the one freaking out about having to get stuck for blood work... she absolutely fears all needles! But apart from the awful time she had getting around with the Tube strike everything went off well. In fact the female doctor she said she had was wonderful.

Now my fiancée needs to have one letter signed from her personal doctor which we expected and as I expected that Dr has told her it will be a month before he can even see her. cray5ol.gif

So I assume everything in regards to the medical being sent to the Embassy will be on hold pending this form to be faxed.

If anyone in the forums has 2 or more children as part of the K1 or K2 process might want to call now to schedule a medical. My fiancée got lucky called on Friday the 31st of January and was told the only appointment for a large family of 3 or 4 was Wednesday the 5th (only because someone cancelled) otherwise it was a 6 month wait for the next open appointment. Needless to say we were expecting a 2-4 week gap between calling and making the appointment so it was a very last minute rush to get train tickets and such.

We have been lucky... started the I-129f process around the first of November 2013 and we are almost at the Embassy interview.

Couple quick questions will the embassy notify us when they have the completed medical?

Should I wait to pay the online fees for the visa's unit she is more near the time frame she will actually be scheduled to go to the interview?

  10. Hello we are at the medical stage and gathering last bits for the interview.

Our question is what will be required at the interview for her children to bring to the US as K2 applicants.

One father at this time has agreed to sign a letter stating that his daughter can permanently move to the USA with my fiancée, is it ok to have this signed by him, my fiancée and possibly another witness say social worker or something?

I have asked several people in the UK and they have never heard of a notary in the UK (I am sure they must have them)

The other father is a different matter my fiancée has had zero contact with him (for her safety reasons) she does have a letter from a social worker saying the father has not had any contact with his son in 3 years.

We have no idea where this man is and once again for her safety he must not find out where she lives.

He has had the option of going to court to see his son but could care less about his son, only my fiancée.

  11. Quick question do the UK medical Dr usually keep immunizations on file? All of Cat's kids have lived in the same house since they were born and used the same hospital but the hospital is saying they don't have them kind of records?

Does that sound right? I will be honest I do not have much faith in the Kettering Hospital.

  12. Today we received our LND number from the NVC and our case is "In Transit" on the CEAC website.

My fiancée has 3 children we are bringing over as well and as such I am wondering if anyone else has had issues with bringing children over.

I read somewhere that the medical in London has different prices based on the ages of the K visa applicants. The children are all under 11 years of age.

We will be mailing off the ACRO paperwork this week as well as making sure she has all immunizations paperwork for herself and the children.

Can someone give me a breakdown on the costs from now until the day I buy plane tickets.

Basically what will we need for the Medical and what will we need for the actual Interview.

One more question anyone have issues bringing the children thru POE customs (Atlanta)? She is working on getting paperwork saying she is allowed to immigrate to the USA with the children. She will have paperwork signed by one father, and she is getting legal paperwork for the youngest to come without his fathers signature.

  13. Sorry now I am confused I just went to the link you posted above and it says the DS-160 is required. The DS-156 is not even listed on that page... did I miss something?

You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:

    • Complete Form DS-160: Your fiancé(e) and his or her children must each complete Form DS-160 to apply for a K1/K2 visa. Go to ceac.state.gov to complete the DS-160. You must: 1) complete the online visa application and 2) print the application form confirmation page to bring to your interview.
