So my husband got his visa and hes planning his trip from Amman, Jordan to Detroit, Michigan. The problem is that they will have a technical stop in Canada but Ive heard youre not allowed to be in canada without a greencard even if its jst for transit. Is this true? hes not going into Canada but it jst may be a stop where they get off to rest in the airport. Is this fine?

We finally got our visa thank god after a long process and we have an annotation on the visa.The annotation is 212 (g) (2) (B) with two stars next to it. What does that mean and will it cause a delay at the airport?

I was wondering what documents are needed to send in the affidavit of support?

We have the form filed out

We have taxes for last three years

We have the W2 papers

We have paycheck stubs from the last two months

Is that all? Is it ok if we only have paychecks from the last two months? We have a lot of stubs its just only from the last two months.

So I found a sponsor and am filling out the affidavit of support papers. in one question it asks:

If you have sponsored any other persons on an i-864 or i-864 EZ who are now lawful permanent residents, enter the number here.

I called up my sponsor and the thing is he doesnt remember how many people hes sponsored since its been a while over 7 years and he hasnt talked to them either so hes not sure if they are permanent residents by now. What should I do in this situation? Can he guess or can we leave it blank?

What happened was we were getting help in sending all our papers to the USCIS by some woman thats known for sendin immigrant visa applications around here. She helps you make sure you have everything filed correctly. What happened was at the time we were needing a sponsor but werent able to find one so she told us she could find a sponsor if we paid her. We paid her 500 dollars and all went well at the appointment. They told my husband congrats and said good things but out visa got put on administrative processing for other reasons. We got those reasons sorted out then one day he gets a call from a woman at the embassy saying our sponsor doesnt have enough to support us. I was so mad because the visa got put on hold over this when I paid her 500 dollars to find someone willing to for me. Anyways, this time we found a good sponsor that makes wayyy more than enough but I dont want to go back to her to fill out the AOS application because I dont trust her. Would I be able to fill out the AOS application and send it? Also how long do you think our wait time for our visa would be after this ? Thank you

They normally don't call when it gets refused, they normally send a letter.

That being said, it seems extremely unlikely they request additional papers and then the same day, with no time to receive let alone review those papers, deny the case. Maybe someone pressed the wrong button on the online portal. Have you tried calling DOS and see what they say?

Do you have a certain number that I should call? That would be extremely helpful! Ive only tried emailing the embassy because they dont allow phone calls but it took them two weeks to answer last time so Im not sure how long it would take now.

So my hubbys case has been in AP. Yesterday someone called him saying they need additional papers and then last night I checked our status and it said refused. They would call if it actually got refused right? She didnt say anything about it being refused on the phone. Im just really worried because its been a loong time and if this visa application gets refused, my whole future is literally ruined. I cant contact the embassy by phone but I emailed them. They take a while to reply but I just need something to put me at ease. They have his passport so if it got refused they would call to tell him to pick it up right?

btw is the ceac website reliable

Hi guys sorry I keep posting so much. I was wondering if this happened with anyone else. So what happened was we had our interview three weeks ago but got put under AP because they wanted more proof of our relationship. We sent them more proof and our status has been in Ap ever since. Today my husband gets a call saying from a woman at the embassy saying that we need a joint sponsor. I log onto the ceac website later in the day and it says my visa has been refused! Has this happened with anyone else? Will it go back to administrative processing once we get a new sponsor or what do I do now?! Do you think they didnt believw our proof because wouldnt it still be under AP if we needed a new sponsor? The woman on the phone told my husband that they got our proof that we sent but said nothing more. Im so sick of all of this

I would like to know how long it took others to complete Ap with Affidavit of Support problems?

Unfortunately, no one can determine how long AP can last. We have been on AP for 9.5 months now, so I know how frustrating it can be. Blessings!!

For what reason are you guys in AP? If you were in my spot would you go back to your husband? not sure if I should or shouldnt. Im missing him terribly!

A P is the most difficult thing people have to endure. The clock will begin again after you turn in whatever you have.

Any time you spend with him is good for many reasons. If your proof appeared weak it would certainly help.

A P can take weeks, months or even years.

I know there are no specific times but Id like to know how long it took with other people?

Basically I havent seen my husband in over a year and were finally excited to get an interview so we can be done with this whole long distance thing. We did the interview and they took his passport but they want more proofof our relationship and also something else. I am missing my husband really bad and want to go back to him next month because this whole visa thing is getting ridiculous but Im afraid of spending thousands of dollars just to get there and have him be approved as soon as I get there. We still havent turned in our proof yet because were waiting till next week due to highway closings in his city. Do you think it would be a good idea to go back and stay with him for a little until he gets approved? Does administrative processing take a while to finish? Like enough time for me to go spend a couple of months with him? We're from the middle east.

So finally after a year of waiting and being rescheduled TWO times for an interview, our interview is in two days! I left my hubby just after we got married because I had to come back to start college. We've been communicating through facetime over the past year and just last week I realized that I haven't been taking any screenshots of our facetime logs over the past year and they're gonna want that too! The log shows only a week or two back and I feel like that's not gonna be enough for them. And we also dont have much pictures together just a couple since we were seperated quickly after our marriage. Do you think the person at the interview will be understanding and still pass him? How did your interview go?
