  1. Hey guys,

I'm new here so if this question sounds silly please guide me to fix it.

I need to know the estimate time for Frankfurt embassy to set up an interview after NVC completes the case. I've already checked the Frankfurt consulate info page here in VJ, saying about 10 days to 1 month, but I'm asking for recent cases that had the interview over the last few months.

Has anybody had an interview recently in Frankfurt? Or if you can tell me how I can search this site to get only Frankfurt cases, that would be another option anyhow.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    Happy Thanksgiving

we are right over hire (Frankfurt peeps)

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/436253-dcf-in-frankfurt-2013/page-12

  2. Thanks guys for your input on this..I have another issue my sponsor has 2 employers yet there is only room for one Do we add a attachment for her second employer?

What I-864 form do you use? I see on (Part 6) there is space for employe # 1 and #2 so no extra paper is needed, if so, and you decide to use one then you have to put your name, case # on top (since you don't have the A#) on top of each sheet of paper, indicate the part and item number to wish you answer refers, and date and sign each sheet.

    http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864.pdf

YES, the instruction form says leave it blank,

If an item is not applicable or the answer is "none" leave the space blank.

But when we went to a Visa briefing here (for soldiers & family) they had Consulate stuff doing the class, they went step by step over the questions and the man sayed you better but None or N/A on each form, please don't leave nothing blank, so we did. Guess who I had my appointment with? Right the same IO/CO that did the class, so I was glad I did it.

I know the whole process is soooo confusing rolleyes.gif

by the way I got my A# just when I received my Passport with Visa package.

    Good Luck

  3. That's what I was thinking someone said I would get a rfe for leavinf blank I should writw n/a in black ink as it only lets u type numbers

    Hi,

I would recommend it too, just write None or N/A in that spot with black ink.

You can get RFE because of it, as they don't know if you overseen it or just forgot to put it up there

I put EVERYWHERE N/A or None on any form, don't leave nothing blank up there (it mit will work but I would not risk it)

    Good Luck

  4. Another question, because I am a stay at home mom/homemaker, and I am filling out I-864, should my husband prepare the I-864A, it is unclear to me. I have searched the forum and it says the Sponsors sponsor? Thanks.

    Hi Skyla,

unfortunately your husband can't cosponsor you/himself, unless he works for US or pays US taxes (don't think he is, since a visa needed) OR he has a BIG saving acc. I belief it was $60K (but could be more depend on the family size)

you guys will have to find you a cosponsor (states side) but you still will need to fill out the I-864( put a small note to it why you didn't file taxes) and the cosponsor will have to fill it out too, send his/her W2, 1040 and pay scrubs

hire you can see how much you need for your family size, 3 ppl you need to proof 125 % (military 100%)

so for your family you have to have $23,863 (it has to say on the W2 form, not the gross income)

wish you all the best and good luck

  5. I am happy for everyone despite what they have filed or how long they have to wait. Positivity brings blessing, negativity can consume you, so i chose to be positive and for that I feel very blessed! smile.png Good luck to everyone!

I see it the same way as you do yes.gif

but I really really feel with CR-1/IR-1 couples it's just NOT fair

altought I feel like a lucky one, my whole process took "only" 3 months (Germany,FRN)

we filed in Germany but our I-130 petition was send to Rome/Italy because they overloaded hire

after my petition was approved(2mons) they guys over hire (Visa Branch) did an amazing job, I already received my Visa so the whole family will travel and stay together.

    Good Luck to everyone

  6. Hi guys,

Got a pretty quick turnaround on packet 3 and got a letter today scheduling the interview for 8 am on Nov. 21st. We had scheduled a medical appointment in Munich for the same day, so now we're looking for solutions: either an emergency appointment in Munich on Monday, or doing a Frankfurt walk-in.

Do you guys know if the medical results have to arrive at the consulate before the interview?

    Thanks

    Hi,

well my personal opinion, and if it was ME

I would cancel in Munich and go on Monday to Frankfurt http://www.internisten-im-westend.de/cms/iiw.php?p=DE,253,20,,1,

I bet they would like to see it before/or on your app. date (don't think they let you do it just for fun u know) besides they going to put your medical result in the envelope(I believe) that you can't open and I think it is a part of either approve your visa or not/delay.

Don't forget it's going to take couple days for the doc. to send your results off. So if you do it on Monday and with some luck it will arrive just on time, or else you have to wait longer on your visa.

If you get it done in Frankfurt just take your receipt with you to the app. to show them that it's done.

If you can do the emergency appointment in Munich on Monday so do it ;o)

    good Luck

  7. Cool. Pretty quick. You're getting my hopes up. Do they think you need the five weeks just to get the medical or something?

I don't thinks so, I think they go by your proposed date of travel that you put on your pack #3

by the way in the pack #3 says fallow steps 3-7 and medical is in one of them steps, so I did mines already ;o)

I sent my pack 3 in on 31.10 and received just now my app. date via E-mai, so ony after 8 days dancin5hr.gif its next week already

    good luck to everyone

  8. Hello everybody,

today I completed the ds-260 online

I just checked my Visa status at CEAC and it says READY

what does this READY mean ? ready for what lol

    this was right under it

"Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. "

    Thanks

  9. Soo, ... this is what i wrote today at 12:00 noon:

    "Dear Frankfurt Consulate,

if you don`t mind, I have two questions in my Visa Case:

    1. Did i understand it right in your letter ,i get, from October 2nd 2013, that i have to send this

letter back to you first (with signature, my proposed travel date and a copy of my biographical

Passport Page) , and wait until i get more instructions from your office and send then

my main Documents (like Passport copie, Birth Certificate, Police Records, I-864, 1040 etc.)?

Or can I send all together in one pack ( The Letter and my Documents) now?

    2. By my wifes Form 1040 , has she to signature this form ? Because she E-filed them and

signed the form with an E-Signature. So there is now on the 1040 no Signature.

Any help you can give me on this matter would be greatly appreciated !

    Greetings,

    XXX"

And this was the answer, only 1,5 hours later:

    "Dear Mr. XXX,

1- You can also send everything at once.

2- The Signature is then not needed.

    Sincerely,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

    Gießener Str. 30

    60435 Frankfurt am Main"

I was very happy to get this answer so quick !!!

Great, I' m VERY happy for you, so just go ahead and send EVERYTHING in (like I told you the first time ;o) !!!

AND please keep "us"/me informed hire, any help/tips are very appreciated ;o)

    Good luck,

Thank you and don't stay up so late ;o)

  10. No u dont need to go to ur doc. The most important thing u have and this are the vaccination shots... Perhaps i would go to the doc then i have a illness for this i need special medicine, i would get an letter,... but even this information u have to give the medical doc anyway,...

My wife just called me before, and she told me ,that she E-Filed her 1040 and there is an E-Signature, like on the DS260, so she dont have to sign them... i will see the Deinetubespot later... im to tired now. This 1040 form i have looks like this decline participation in audit shield programms form.

Boah in 2h, i have to work,...

lol, to be honestly E-Signature or not I had my husband sign on each and every paper Im going to send there laughing.gif

hope you wont fall asleep at work

  11. Its really confusing,... but now i guess i will send the Infoletter tomorrow via Einschreiben , and the other documents then i have the signed 1040. And hopefully with Fast Delivery i will have them end this week...

Yes, i have had my medical on the 7.15.13 in FRA. This was the day then my wife was at the consulate for the petition and i was meanwhile by the Doc. At this time the medical was still valid for one year,... and now its look like i have to get a second one,... My wife and me have been in June at an Infoday from the FRA consulate in Hohenfels, and they told us its ok then i do it like this, even without an casenumber,... and there was no mention about they change all the rules only 3 months after.

I needed for the medical 3 pictures, perhaps they changed this,also,.. But the medical in FRA was ok. I was number 2 this day. A hour later i was finished... Blood,Urin,X-Ray from the chest, Eyetest, and the questions ... and the 140

yea we going to a visa briefing hire on the 25th, we will see

your visa still will be good if u fly on the 11.1.

ok do I have to see a/my doctor before I go to the medical in Frankfurt or not? My shot record is up to date.

  12. Thanks for this ! The 1040 isnt signed,... so we have a Problem ! So my wife has to send me signed once from the States first,...

check out post # 44 and she sayed send everything in, guess they were to confused too, lol

to 1040, the form HAS to be signed by your wife or else they wont accept it, I filled my I-184 with a little help from deinetube idea9dv.gif , there was a person like from JAG, doing each question step by step ( u know the forum rules hire, cant write exactly what, so HE sayed make sure its signed)

maybe she can fax it to you or via e-mail? try it first like this but still has her send it to you in mail too, just in case they want to see her original signature.

there r 2 sides that's needs to be signed D-400 (62) and the Decline Participation in Audit Shield Program

I know the Tax.office keeps always signed 1040 form, ur wife/my husband never sign the once they get to keep , unfortunately they want it signed or its no good without her signature........

  13. I think i have the answer from my question above, on post number 36 in this threat, but this was before the change in october,...

think # 39 explains it better BUT

why send it in 2 different envelope if it goes to the same office???

ok I know that they replaced DS 230 I & II with DS- 260 , everything sooooo confused

my friend send everything in at one time and it worked

so send the Infoletter with Passport copy now and then send the whole package like 2 days later???

I will send just EVERYTHING at one time, beside you got your medical already right?

    man man man

  14. @honeypie: Yes , i will write tomorrow an coverletter ,with my contactdetails as well,... and i dont send this stuff from my Civilservice, because they are not asking for it,...

I-864 is from my wife filled out and signed as well, pay stub (DOD) from June 13.

I have now only one more question , what is confusing me a little bit,...

As i get this letter from the FRA Consulate, just two weeks ago, that they recived an approved visa petition on my behalf, in this letter are two writtinglines. One for date of proposed travel and one for my signature. Is this what they want by Step One (First) at this Checklist by the Instructions ? By First is written :" Please send a copy of your passport and your preferred departure date to this office". So i think right in the moment i should take the Infoletter they send me , sign it and send it with my documents, or perhaps seperate? Hopefully somebody is understanding what i mean,... its difficult to explain,...Arrrgh

I thought also not to ask them by mail about my case,... but my wife has done it and i was happy anyway,... so,...

guess nobody else is out hire reading it, so I just say how I would do it (if I ever get to see my approved petition ;o) )

yes sign it and put the preferred departure date (don't know how much they care about it, unless you want to travel like in 6 mons then they will wait with the appointment) make a copy of it and keep it, send original together with all your paperwork and the checklist (even if it asks you the same thing on the last page)

put the Infoletter on top of the real "Checklist" guess it has your case # on it, so it would be easier for them to process it (but its just my opinion )

I see they just trying to confuse people, the letter says one thing and their internet page another, like don't follow the steps on ds-260.......and go to step 4

I will do everything in one step, send everything in after I submit the DS-260 online

hmm I meant make sure that the 1040 form is signed by your wife, my husbands wasn't, so I had him signing all of the paperwork today
