  1. Hi guys,

Thank you all for your support on this site over this very challenging time. I passed my citizenship interview on Monday July 23rd. It was quick. I was having a pending ROC, which was also approved same day. Went with my wife and 2 year old daughter. The officer called me in gave a genuine smile to my daughter. When I got into the room for the interview, he asked if that was my wife and daughter that were with me. The questions were easy. 1. Who is the governor of your state? Name two US holidays etc.

Now I am waiting for a letter for my oath ceremony. I was put into inline for oath ceremony yesterday. They said I should be getting a letter for the oath in two to four weeks.

However, I requested my interviewer to sign me up for an oath ceremony that is happening in two weeks time in my city, of which he agreed that he will put in a request for that, though, there is no guarantee that it will be granted. Basically told him that my family is in town, and should be out of town soon, in two weeks. Fingers crossed, I am praying I have that oath ceremony happen at the requested time.

I appreciate it guys, all the support.

Cant wait to swear in and apply for my US passport.

  3. Hey guys,

I received an interview notice on June 4th. And my interview notice was updated the following day, for July 23rd. Also, I have a pending ROC. My ROC should be approved by then or I will have a double interview for ROC and N400, I plan on taking my wife and 2 year old daughter with me to the interview. Do you guys know the estimate of when to have an oath after the interview, how long does it take? I cant wait to finish this daunting long process. And good luck to all.

  5. Hey guys, who are november filers here that have pending N400. I contacted my senator and congressmans office, they contacted USCIS and my field office, and they were basically told that they can not approve my ROC, since I applied for citizenship. NBC particularly said that my case is ready, waiting for an interview to be scheduled, even though when I look online, it doesnt say that I am inline for an interview. Also, when they contacted my field office, they basically said that, they will schedule my interview by August. I could believe their word, since it has been told to these "very important" people, from these political offices. Therefore, within a three months or so, I should be having my interview for N400 probably combined with the ROC interview. I applied for my N400 in December 2017 and my field office is OKC. Just wanted to let you know that, you can contact your political offices to get a solid feedback from USCIS, looks like they are willing to disclose information to them than to us the applicants.

  6. Sorry that you had a bad experience at the field office. Those officers simply dont care. Luckily enough, you have your interview date already, if you can replan around that, that will still work for you. What is your field office by the way. Hopefully I also get an interview scheduled soon. Its been three months already, and I am not even in line for interview, in spite of doing an online application.

Like most of you here, my status have also changed twice lately - Feb 26 and March 5.

I was finally able to make an infopass appointment at SF center for today, which I am heading over in 15 mins.

Ironically, my naturalization interview appointment letter also showed up in my mailbox last week. It is scheduled for March 28th.

Did your naturalization interview show on your case status or it was only online? My status changed, for transfer to my field office, on Feb 26th, but it has not changed since. Am guessing you dont have to go for your appointment then, since you have your interview date already. Good luck.

Mine got transferred to the local office too as of today. My NOA is 9/28/16, CSC filer. No N400 filed. It seems to have happened to everybody including people who only just filed? So weird.

I just got off the phone with USCIS asking them about this transfer, and the officer was specific, that, it is to reduce the backlog on CSC. So, hopefully, we are going to see lots of approvals from CSC applicants very soon. Good luck. I have an infopass for my extension stamp soon...so I will get a chance to ask more about my case, and hopefully ask for an expedited action, it wont change anything I know, but I will just put it out there to them.

i just checked my status, it says case was received at my local office (LA). Does it mean i will have an interview or something? or all the cases must go through at the local office? My NOA is sept 20th 2016.

I am a ROC november 2016 filer and N400 December 2017 filer, and I just checked my original WAC as well, and it says that today FEbruary 26th my ROC was transferred to OKC, my field office. At least this transfer means someone has touched our case. Hopefully it goes fast from this point. For your N400, did you apply online?

hmm, I just checked my another WAC number, and it says my case has been transferred today (2/26/2018) to local office as well. I'm a NOV 2016 filer CSC.

At this point, I'm sick of waiting (15 months) now and won't mind an interview.

I was just messing around with our passports and checking all of our WAC numbers that was written on our i-551 stamp. I'm not sure if everyone has 2 WAC numbers or if that is a group number since I have 3 children also waiting to ROC. Anyway, I put in the "other" WAC number and look what happened.

On February 25, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC1635200***, at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Looks like we are going to have a combined I-751 and N-400 for sure.

if anyone has 2 WAC numbers and has applied for citizenship, put that number into USCIS case status check and see what happens. Strange that it was updated today being Sunday. Kinda sad too as tomorrow, being Monday is our 4th year anniversary of landing on US soil. Can you say, homesick lol.

So I filed N400 the day I became eligible which is Oct 23rd 2017 under 3 year rule. Got my NOA1 with a priority date October 26, 2017. And then went to my biometric in November 16 2017. And On January 10th 2018 they scheduled me for an Interview for Feb 14th. So, My interview went pretty smooth. He basically went straight to the civic test and I passed after 6 questions. He told me to write 1 sentence that he dectated. And after that he told me that I passed and we went over my application. After that he handed me a paper that has checked on it stating that I passed but the decision cannot be made yet. The reason for that was my officer has to review my ROC first that CSC sent to his office. And yesterday my status was updated that I was placed of an oath. Good luck on yours .

Congratulations. Did you file your N400 online? Looks like, online filers are having their interview letters three months after filing. I filed N400 two months ago, and my ROC is still pending with CSC, its been 15 months of waiting. Hopefully I get an interview soon.

This is so frustrating. I have another international trip scheduled in March 2018. My ROC NOA date is 09/15/2016 and yet, still no approval.

I had to undergo secondary screening last time I reentered the US and I’m scared of having to go through that yet again!

I would call USCIS and ask to speak with a Tier 2 officer. You are past the  normal processing time.

I feel you. I also filed my ROC way back in October of 2016. Got a NOA1 dated Nov 3rd 2016. I filed N400 October 23rd 2017 and fortunately they scheduled me right away for an interview which is this morning at 7:30AM in Denver, Colorado. So my N400 interview went well, I passed the interview/test but the officer told me he can't give me an approval because he has to review my ROC application first since CSC forwarded my application here in Denver. I'll just have to wait on my ROC result. Good luck to you.

Congratulations on the interview. Hopefully they process your ROC soon. At least its been sent to your field office already, that means it is going to be worked on soon. Did you file online or you used mail? I filed online. It is a waiting game.

  15. I am a November 2016 ROC filer being processed by CSC. They are taking way too long. I have been calling USCIS like crazy and those customer service folks could not transfer me to a Tier 2 officer...they would often resound the "your case is still within processing time". However, last week when I called, this lady offered (without me asking) to transfer me to a Tier 2 office. The officer said that I should get a decision about my case within 60 days, and if I dont, I call them back for an expedite. Now, in 60 days, my case would have been 17 months since my NOA1. Good news is that, November folks are soon going to be looked at. Also, I applied for my N400 in December 2017 already, hopefully, in the 60 days, I am actually called for an interview, where my N400 will be approved with the ROC...who knows? I could hit the same bird with two stones. Good luck to everyone!
