At VSC...the actual processing time is 5 months...but im about 25 months of confusion!!!

Im LPR,i filled I-130 for my spouse and son on February 2012,since then nothing.when i call,they say always that my case is pending adjudication for the background check...so anyone here can know how long can take a background check in this specific case???

Ps:im already using my congressman for help,but always nothing move.

I filled an I-130, and I'm a LPR...i can't understand how you did send AOS while you're not approved... can you guys tell me how you communicate whit uscis???

We had our K-1 lost/miss placed or whatever happened for 22 months, we finally just married while she was here and filed AOS... We did this knowing we would be questioned at interview.. We were and explained our situation and the fact that we had filed K1 waited over 22 months and did what we thought was right for us... It was and our interviewer agreed 6 minute interview and GC issued... By the way we sent our with drawal of the K1 which they acknowledged, then a month later we got our approval on the K1 (noa2)... We just moved on and we have passed our interview for citizenship awaiting oath at this time.. We lost 18 months waiting and calling and used a senator, congressman and an ambassador all to no avail... We are happily moving forward and never looked back, but you seem to be right where we were back in 2010...

Yes,i do..the last e request says that my case is pending consideration and they apoligize for the delay of my case,they cannot give me a timeframe when my case will be approved and that i have to check my case status in the near future etc....And the congressman said that they told him to follow up again after months 60 days.(that's the second 60 days)...in a LPR and i filled two I-130 for my spouse and my son(3y.o)...

Did you file a Service request with USCIS? What did the Congressmen's office say after contacting USCIS?

Everyone,Pd 02-28-2012, at VSC still waiting for NOA2...i call uscis every week,nothing special,just case pending consideration...the congresswoman followed up for me by 2 times and nothing is moving...what can i do else????who did ever seen the similar case here????i'm really lost in usa....thanks for your time...

@DIC731 What is your pd and the service center??? I just sent an e-mail to my congresswoman and hope receving an answer soon...

I called the uscis service center,got somebody who passed me tier 2...after 40 minutes i got the tier 2 and he told me that my case was delay for a background check...they can not move forward my case until the background been completed...and that i call uscis if i don't have anything from them in 6 months...i'm worried...why only me???? He told me that more you are old,more the background check is long...im 40 years...am i the older petitioner in uscis?????who can help me on what i can do in this situation????

Hi ,i'm new in this forum.my PD is feb 2012.filled two I-130 forms for my spouse and my son(under 21) on february 2012 at vermont service center.I'm still waiting for the NOA2..But, as i can see in this forum,some person who have PD later than mine have already Noa2...so,anyone can help me and advice me on what i can do???
