Hello All,
I filed in August to remove the conditions on my 2 year Green Card and also that of my dependent child to recieved 10 year Green Cards. I received my extension letter but child did not. I included her on my application and paid the biometrics fee. Is there a possibility that the extension letter for my child was lost in the mail?
We have a vacation booked for January 2018 and she cannot leave the country it appears.
Thank you.

I received the same thing on Saturday July 4th.
Very strange.

Oh and SS number is needed too.
They said I could drive on my UK licence for a certain amount of time when I originally moved here (think it was 1 month after becoming a resident, may have been 3 months. It was a long time ago lol)
Our insurance company (Geico) added me to my husbands insurance policy for $20 extra per month as a permit holder to drive our new car.
My SSN came in about a week after applying at the office off the 16th St Mall.
-
Did mine last week.
Took my passport, EAD card and bank statement and they issued my permit right there (after taking their ridiculously easy permit test) and eye test.
Good luck

I used Anglo Pacific for shipping clothes and household items. They supplied the packing materials too. Six boxes at 25kgs cost $1000 (approx) Got to Denver within 6 days and everything was intact.
-
Mine is Denver and it seems to be a long wait at the moment.
Got my AP and EAD last week after almost three months but no interview letter yet
Good luck

I have now been here in Denver for 6 months after visiting various states over 40 times in the past decade and I was very unsure about a move to America especially as I had a six year old to consider however I can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done.
I love the outdoor lifestyle, our new home we purchased at the end of last year, my child LOVES her new school, I have made fantastic friends (my best friend is someone I met on this very website!)
There is absolutely nothing I would change about this move (at the moment)

Originally filed AOS documents on 22nd December 2014 they were received 26th and heard nothing. No NOA1, no texts or emails and the check was never cashed so re-filed all paperwork today after cancelling the check (14th January 2015)
Good luck everyone

Hi, I'm a K-1 visa holder. My husband and I got married on Nov 17, 2014. I also have a daughter with K-2 visa. Our I-94 will expire on Jan 14, 2015. We have already sent our I-485 packet with money order on Dec 27, 2014. When I tracked the shipment through usps.com, it said that it has been delivered on Jan 2, 2015. However, my money order says "No information is available for this serial number."
I haven't got any update or response from the USCIS yet. Please enlighten me about things I need to do. Your helpful response will be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Any news yet? I cancelled my check and resubmitted all documents today.

Waiting until next Friday then cancelling the check and resubmitting as looking at people's timelines people that filed after us have their NOA1 hard copies already!!

I used Anglo Pacific in August 2014. It was around £120 per box (shipped 7 boxes @ 25kgs) and arrived within a week. No breakages and very easy.

I LOVE Colorado
Very diverse, people have always been super friendly, great schools, house prices are reasonable but tend to be smaller properties in our area (Capitol Hill)
I have spent lots of time in NY (Brooklyn) and NEVER considered making it our permanant home.
There is so much to do, lots of open space and very family friendly.
As for diversity, I am black and my fiancé is white and have never had any issues (except people constantly stopping us to say how cute/beautiful/well mannered our child is
We move in 7 days and I can't wait. I know I will never regret it.
-
To be fair I think the only reason ours progressed this quickly (if you can call two weeks quick) is because we sent numerous emails, none of which we heard back from, making sure they knew my fiance needed to be here for Friday. And our Senator called them Wednesday-Friday of last week and got them to physically pull his passport and visa. So lots of bugging and annoying messages. And praying. Lots and lots of praying.
It worked for me too as my status changed to issued a couple of hours ago

You would have thought with all the backlog etc they would have worked the weekend to try and claw back, get back on track with all the visas.
And yes it's shocking knowing that all they have said and continue to say is oh just wait and be patient, you will get your visa, just not now, or soon, well we don't really know! Hardly gives anyone any reassurance, or info especially when everyone is stuck in the same boat day after day!!!
Anyone know if anyone has had a interview recently at the US embassy in London? Just wondering if people have had their interview and are closer to being issued their visa than someone who had the interview a week before?
Or am I just being paranoid and jealous in these desperate times ;p
That would be common sense but common sense is not common so we may have a long wait. They are processing CR1's faster as they are immigrant and we are non immigrant.
Also seen a couple of J1 and L1A visas issued with interview dates 22nd July on another forum. We seem to be bottom of the list
-
Also still on ready. Interviewed on the 17th and am getting really fed up as it feels like life is on hold. Plus I keep checking every hour which doesn't help
I just sent them 30 emails via the contact form so hoping for a reply soon
18 days is ridiculous!
This is what they sent me on Friday
Thank you for your inquiry.
As you may be aware, the Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs has been experiencing technical problems with our visa system which have affected operations globally. We recognize and regret the inconvenience this has caused. Please be aware that, due to these problems, CEAC accounts may not be updated.
As of July 30, visa processing has resumed. You can expect to receive an email via the Visa Appointment Service as soon as your visa has been fully processed and their documents passed to the courier service.

Thanks so much. I did feel the same but then saw movement so became more postive. you will see something very soon. Losing the flight was the killer as mine was non-refundable but hey, hang in there!!! We're all in the same trans-atlantic boat! It'll be worth it.
Non refundable tickets can usually be changed for about £250 (I worked for the two biggest long haul carriers as crew and ground staff for a few years) call and see if you can rebook for a later date (can use it for a trip from UK to new home in future )

Hey, thanks for your message yep I'm at issued since Friday and am now just waiting on the email from the courier!
Congratulations to you too Courier seems to be working quickly so you should get that email soon. Good luck with the wedding :)
I am hoping for it to go to issued by tomorrow or I will request our passports back to travel on VWP for a holiday and do the visas later.
Fed up with it all now
-
Brilliant! I'm hoping this to be me Monday/Tuesday.
Looks like we may both be flying out on Wednesday!!! Which is ideal as flights go down then
Any luck with your status changing? I remember that you interviewed a day or two before me.
Fingers crossed for you
-
it's been issued! The wedding is still on!!! My fiance will be on a flight this Wednesday and by Saturday we will be spending a glorious week in Cape Cod doing absolutely nothing but relaxing!
So happy for you. Congratulations. Safe travels on Wednesday
We interviewed on 18th July and still stuck at 'Ready'
I just sent them another email telling them how disgusted I am at the length of time it has taken to return my passports.

Email from London embassy I received yesterday

Let's hope they start issuing visas sooner rather than later.

AmAjjD, I am also hoping for tomorrow but not hopeful. We seem to be at the bottom of the pecking order as K1 applicants when it comes to issuing the visas. My fiance's visa wasn't even touched today. Very upsetting it's a race against time now. We have one day left to make everything work.

Thank you everyone.
Made an infopass appointment and had both passports stamped. The officer clipped a corner off of both expired Greencards and allowed us to keep them. He was very pleasant and explained that it would be a wait of approximatey 12 months for new cards.....just in time to apply for citizenship.
