Hello all,
Interview was on Jan 24th 2014 at Montreal..hardly lasted 10mins, so stressed out all this while but the interview was I should say the easiest part of this whole process!!
On 24th evening, CEAC status showed Administrative processing..today 27th, it shows Issued, but still no waybill # yet..
Hoping it comes through soon..
Now to wedding planning
Good luck to all those who have interviews soon and thanks for all the help, this forum was a big help

@ethomps: I did send those forms in with Packet 3, but that was before they changed their guidelines to replacing forms with DS-160 only. I sent them Packet 3 mailed in and by email as well as they had requested.
Anyhow I will keep the forms with me just in case.
my interview is on 24th and I am stressed out!!
Good luck for tomorrow, do post the experience whenever you can. Wishing you both all the very best

@ethomps: Do we need DS-156,DS 156K and DS230? Acc to the website it says only DS-160 confirmation is needed?
Check this link:

Hello,
my NOA2 expired Jan 10th, but interview is on Jan 24th in Montreal. I emailed the Consulate and asked them, they said it will be re-validated at the time of interview. I assume it will be the same in your place, confirm by contacting the Consulate.
Goodluck

@Flames: I am explaining all the train benefits to her

Thank you all for the tips. I would have preferred the train since I thought I was going alone! but now my mom is coming with me, and she has a tough time sitting through long trips unfortunately
but thank you guys. wishing all you having interviews soon lots of luck

Hello all,
After my prev post re interview cancellations, havent had a chance to get back on VJ..
Got my interview date back for Jan 24th, prepping for that now..
With the crazy winter going on now, I was wondering about options for travel from Toronto to Montreal. I am planning to fly, but incase that doesnt work out..
Anyone has experience with bus service to Montreal?
Thanks
-
@aimeejane: Yes they do extend it. This is from their email to my inquiry
'Please note that the I-129F petition will be automatically revalidated at the time of interview'
Good luck for interview

Hello all,
I had Feb 14th as my first appointment date, then yesterday got it re-scheduled to Jan 24th and was soo happy.
This morning I get an email saying I cancelled my Jan 24th date, when I did not do anything like that. I wasnt even checking for an earlier date coz I was happy with Jan 24th.
I emailed montreal embassy but that would take soemtime to get a reply...
I am so so upset..I rescheduled it for March 24th now., but has this happened to anyone before??
Can anyone provide any suggestions, would I be able to get my Jan date back..i dunno what happened for the cancellation, im positive its not an error from our side..
Im just so upset

Hello everyone!
My K-1 interview is scheduled for Feb 14th 2014, NOA2 is expiring Jan 10th 2014.
Is there a way to renew it? Do I need to contact the Montreal Embassy ?
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Hello everyone!
Dunno if this is the right place to post this,I am a K-1 visa applicant, interview will be in Montreal,Canada.
I have obtained the Police clearance certificate from UAE in Oct 2013. K-1 needs PCC's need to be valid within last 6-12months. The issue is the PCC from UAE states this is valid for 3 months, so do I need to get another one or would that be valid for K-1 purposes?
Thanks and appreciate any input on this

Hello All,
This is specific for K-1 applicants for Montreal. I checked the site today and it shows new Packet 3 instructions, and it says to email them instead of sending it by post.
I was being over enthusiastic I guess and already sent Packet 3 by post. The date on the PDF documents says revised Oct 8/2013 but when I checked in Oct 26th this new instruction list wasnt there.
So I am wondering do I email Packet 3 again or just let it be?
Anyone in the same situation?
Thanks

@salie_adnan: They do say it takes 8 weeks, but def keep calling NVC. Our NOA2 was Sept 11th, I got case # from NVC when I called on Oct 21st, although it reached them Oct 18th acc to CEAC website. You can use your case # for tracking on this link https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/
It is frustrating, but such is the process, inshallah all will go soon with you. Good luck

@CDNme: Thanks so much for the info
-
@kc247: Thanks so much for ur reply.
I didnt know the dates went previous to the one scheduled. But I am glad it does..I will keep checking and hope for the best
Good luck to you
-
@rshree- congrats on ur journey so far! I will also be moving from Ontario to California (fingers crossed ,all goes well)
I have a question for you: I got my case # over phone on Oct 21st, status says ready as on Oct 25th. what would it say on CEAC when they have mailed packet 3?
Thanks
-
If its in Toronto it will be awesome, considering if we get appointments earlier than Montreal, not to mention the travel time and money!
keeping fingers& toes crossed

@kc247: I have a Feb 2014 date and I would like a sooner one ,but I think we do have to cancel existing one to view calendar. But this message is a bit confusing too..
If you need to reschedule for a different date/time within the existing trip purpose, select 'Reschedule Appointment' below. To change your trip purpose, you must first cancel your existing appointment (select 'Cancel Appointment') and schedule a new one.
so the trip purpose is K-1 ,if I click reschedule it gives me only dates on or after the day that has already been scheduled. would rather not cancel and risk losing date
Hope there was another way around it

thanks guys
-
@CDNme: Could you tell me how you rescheduled your Jan 7th 2014 date, did you have to cancel it first to get the Nov 7th spot? My interview date is Feb 14th 2014
thanks and good luck on ur interview
-
@Udella&Wiz: I havent fixed a wedding date yet so I didnt understand your comment abour re-planning the wedding? Sorry If i misunderstood ur comment... I took the 1st interview spot I got, I know getting earlier date is tough.
thanks for your help and good luck

Hello all:
@jasonribs: Hope you can get a date as per your needs.
I have a date booked for Feb 14th 2014..I needed help on trying to find an earlier date. Do we have to cancel the existing one to get a new one?
When I click reschedule appointment it only shows me the next available.. If I cancel the one I have now, I dont want to lose that and get a much later date in the process.
Anyone knows how can we find out dates by not cancelling exisiting one?
Thanks for all the help in this forum
