Supervisor told me to call back on Monday.Hmm... did she call back? Did they get it figured out?
So, I'm thinking maybe I should call again and see what another rep gives me and if it sounds weird, ask for a supervisor?
this is so frustratinggggggg!

Same thing happened to me. I got different answers from different representatives. The only answer that made sense to me was that I sent an update request for my mother's name, and they usually scan the bar code to do that which explains the reason why I received the 60 days thing. I also called and requested to speak to a supervisor, and she asked me to call back on Monday, that she was going to get some info. on my case.Hi everyone
Happy to see CC's happening quickly! I have a concern... I just called down to NVC to check my last scan date and the rep told me it's October 3rd.
Here's my problem with that...
I sent AOS on Sept 4th, and NVC said it was received the 8th.
I sent IV on Sept 17th, was received on the 19th.
I found a mistake in AOS and resent the 22nd, was received the 23rd.
I have emails confirming all of these dates... now after the last package I sent he said they received another 9 days later, which gives me a date of October 3rd... but I never sent a 4th package? Nor did I receive an email with this date (and trust me i received a lot of emails). When I told him that he said "oh yeah it looks like one of the packages were entered by mistake, you only sent three."
I know a ten 10 day gap isn't a big deal, but in NVC time its FOREVER! Should I call again and confirm with someone else? Or is it pointless and I should just ride it out?
Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post. I called NVC two and the second rep. Was very helpful. He said the 60 days message is for the name update that I requested.

Hello,
Has anyone received the 60 days message from NVC even though they haven't sent any package to them lately? So NVC scanned my AOS package August 21st and sent me the 60 days message few days later. They Scanned my IV package on September 17th and send me the 60 days message also. I checked my e-mail this morning and found out that they sent me another 60 days message for receiving a package I sent to them September 30th, but the problem is that I never sent them any package on September 30th.

You won't need to send through your birth certificate. If you have a US passport than that should be enough for proof of citizenship.
I believe the petitioner documents are pertaining to the AOS package, have you seen this: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process
The petitioner's document pertains to people petitioning for their parents or siblings

Someone on VJ said that when they when to the embassy for their IR5 interview, the CO asked for the petitioner's spouse I 864A to make sure the spouse is aware of what the petitioner is doing
Instead of aware, I would say supportive of in laws coming over

Someone on VJ said that when they when to the embassy for their IR5 interview, the CO asked for the petitioner's spouse I 864A to make sure the spouse is aware of what the petitioner is doingThe NVC forwarded my in-laws case to the Embassy two weeks ago, and my in-laws have their interview in two weeks.
This morning we received an email from the Embassy with the requested documents that need to be brought to the Embassy at the time of the interview or sent by DHL. One of the items requested was an I-864A from the spouse of the petitioner (spouse of petitioner is me). We never sent an I-864A to NVC because my wife's (the petitioner) income alone was enough to meet the required financial requirement. Also, I was under the assumption that if a I-864 is sent to NVC then they check it at NVC and not at the Embassy. So, does anyone know if I need to file an I-864A with the Embassy or was that just generic because the petitioner is married?
-
Thanks for ur replyNo need to send any of that for Affidavit of Support documents. Citizenship certificate is only required for the petition (i-130).
With that being said, I have to update this Guide again since I listed to submit the Citizenship certificate in the Civil Documents.

Thanks EOC4ever, my mom went to Alagbon and she told me the officer didn't ask, so I was worried. I feel much better knowing that they don't ask to list the addresses. I thought she would have to do the police cert. againNo. The officer didn't ask me to list all the places have lived since I was 16. U.S embassy and NVC always request and accept for the police certificate to be done at Alagbon because Alagbon police certificate covers for all the places the applicant has lived all his/her life.

This question is for you EOC4ever, when you went for your police certificate, did the officer ask you to list the places you've lived in since age 16 in the police certificate? Your reply would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Emma did you send proof of citizenship or authorization to work in us with your i864A?Hi all,
Things started moving along quickly in NVC and I start panicking...
My husband is a co-sponsor, thus filing I-864A. Now, I understand we need to file all supporting docs for him (paystubs, taxes, employment letter etc...), but do I need to send any supporting docs, not qualifying as a sponsor just by myself? I'm a bit confused. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/wacko.gif http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/helpsmilie.gif

Champi did you ever send certificate of citizenship or proof of authorization to work in us with your i864aHello All,
I tried to search for reason to file I-864A and in most cases it is used for joint sponsorship. In our case, my husband is sponsoring his mother and his income is well beyond the required level so he does not need my help in sponsoring his mother. he'll fill out I-864 as required. However, my question is, do I still have to fill out form I-864A because my husband and I file taxes jointly?
I was wondering if we could just specify his income alone in form I-864 and then provide W2s as a supporting evidence of his alone-income even though tax transcript will list our joint income. So basically, send tax transcript of last 3 years as required but add supporting evidence of his alone-income such as W2s of last 3 years, pay stubs for last 3 to 6 months, and income verification letter from his employer.
I apologize if this question was already asked. I did make sincere effort to search it but couldn't find anything related to ours situation.

<p>I do see a lot of posts here asking "What's next?", so I thought I'd share the guide that I made for myself. Hope somebody will find this useful. Though I'd like recommending to anybody to follow the Wiki Guide as I find it very helpful myself. It provides more specific details that my guide does not cover. I also welcome suggestions and comments with the following guide when necessary. Good luck to all! -J for Jona

My police certificate would have expired by the time NVC gets to my package. I wish and pray they'll allow me bring a new one for the interview.

Hello fellow VJers,
I am have a serious issue filling out my husband's current income, and I would be needing you all help plzzzzz. I am a petitioner for IR5 and I have been trying to fill out the I-864 and I-864A. I am supposed to add my husband as a member of household, but i am a little confused about how to do it.
My story goes like this:
My husband worked last year from January 2013 to April of 2013 and lost his job in April, but he made $12,500 during that period. In May, he received unemployment of $350 each week until the end of November.
He found an internship program in December that will end in May 2014, and he gets paid $150 a week, and he has been paid a total of $300 for the month of December. With all these information, what do I put on his current income.
Also what does NVC go by when evaluating current income?
Thank you for your answers in advance.
