  1. Hello!

I'm really sorry about your period apart, but I'm glad you worked it out.

The Visajourney K-1 page is a bit outdated and confusing. I recommend you to trust the consulate website: http://portuguese.brazil.usembassy.gov/pt/fiancee2.html

First of all, check your vaccines.

When did your fiance get that letter? If it was too long ago, you should e-mail the consulate asking about your interview date. Inform your RDJ number and full names of you both.

I got an e-mail from the consulate a lot sooner than I got the letter, and that gave me time to plan my trip to Rio, which may be important if you don't live there like me.

If you have any doubts, feel free to ask me and I'll be glad to help if I can.

    Good luck!

Oh, and you can use your RDJ number to check your status here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

    Hi Mariana, thank you :)

we worked things out, and we are soo happy... Its been 7 years since the first "Hi" on the internet, lol.

well, I sent an email to the consulate here in Rio and they replied very fast.

My interview is scheduled to November 18,so close already... Oh, I already called the doctor to schedule my medical exams, and I have more than a month to gather all forms and documents...

Good luck on your interview and thanks for the response here on this topic :)

  2. By the way, I didnt know when our case was approved because we were no longer together!

One week after my fiance (The Petitioner) sent the petition to the USCIS, I found out he was cheating on me and I broke up right away!

During these past 6 months, I repeatedly asked him to cancel the petition and mail my personal stuff to my house. He didnt do any of those things.

I called the USCIS and tried to cancel our I-129F by myself, but I couldnt because im the beneficiary.

Then, he asked for forgiveness ,and really wanted to work things out between us.. and I forgave him because I Really love him,And we were together for 7 years (we met online on 2007, and in person in 2010), so, we are back together.

But im totally lost about the process now

  3. Hello Everyone!

Im confused about some processing times!

Our Case was approved (NOA2) on Aug 29 and it was sent to the NVC on Sept 9!

Later, my fiance received a letter with my RDJ number!

I Havent received any package from the consu;ate here in my country yet!

    what should I do now?

where can I see how's our process going ,with this RDJ Number!

    Thanks in Advance

    Luciano

  4. Hi

I dont know this is the right place to ask about this, but since its related to the K1 visa, im posting here.

If the mods think its not the right place for this topic, please, change it to another thread!

Im from Brazil and my fiance is from NC. We are together since 2010,and now that DOMA dont exist, he sent the I-129F package to the USCIS.

I found out he has cheated on me, and I no longer want to be with him,and asked him to withdraw the petition, but he says he's always busy.

Can I call USCIS and withdraw it,being the beneficiary?

    Thanks in advance

  5. I am engaged since 2010 to my american Fiance and I tried to take a tourist visa back in August 2010 to visit him and his family and friends. And actually,in the forms, they just gave me options to choose between friend, fiance or spouse, not boyfriend! We were good friends back then when I tried to take the visa! We were getting romantically involved. And even if I wanted to mention him as a "boyfriend", I couldnt, because I dindt have that option in the forms.

I personally think its irrelevant to be honest.

We are about to send our package next week to the USCIS to start our visa k1 visa process. I think they will check if we are in an ongoing relationship, bona fide relationship, and not if we were friends or boyfriends by the time I tried to take a tourist visa.

For sure, they gonna bring it up in our interview, and I will tell'em the truth, that my visa was denied due to lack of ties with my country!
