  1. When was your interview?

When did they call you for medical?

DO you know if they will call you for finger print and oath?

    Interview was back in 2013.

At start of this month, new medical call was received.

Got Email on Friday for DS-260, said they will call for fingerprints after they receive DS-260 confirmation at their office. The confusing part is, in Email at one place they ask to Email them the confirmation page and at other they said to send them hard copy of confirmation page. I have already emailed the confirmation page using their website but not sure if that's all they need or they also need hard copy of confirmation page sent by American Express.. Opinions?

  2. Okay so here it goes my first post

I was a silent reader until now. My husbands interview was in 2012 and was put in administrative processing. There was 1 update in dec, then 1 in March that's it until I emailed them in oct. When they replied to our email there was another update. In the email they asked for new medical, pictures and DS 260. We sent everything in nov. They updated our case on DEC11,13,14, 22, 23, 26,27,30,31 JAN 2,4,6,7,8,16 after jan 16 the updates stopped. So much for getting our hopes up sad.png. On 13 feb another update but that was an answer to our email. This is the email that they sent.

"As per our record, this case is being reviewed by consular officers. Subsequently, as soon as the case is reviewed, we will make contact accordingly with an update."

So how much more time are they gonna take, there are no red flags in our case, no big age difference. After all these updates I thought maybe we will get our visa soon but still AP. I pray this AP gets over soon for everyone In Sha Allah.

Those are the exact words they replied to me yesterday. :|

  3. After a long wait of 3 years 2 months and 10 days of AP finally the visa status changed to issue to all four members of our family. Thanks for everyone support and good advice on VJ. I thank ALLAH and pray that everyone get their visas soon thank you GOD. 5 visa status updates in February on 6, 7, 8, and two on 10th. So after long wait its approved so my advice to everyone to wait and don't loose Hope keep praying and have faith in Allah.

    Congrates Fahad..!!

But how do you know there were two updates on same date.. o.O

The last two digits is the applicant number. For example, if there were more than one beneficiary in your case. First would have been ISLXXXXXXXXXX 01 and second ISLXXXXXXXXXX 02 and so on.

  5. Not every country has automatic AP, and certainly every country has the risk of AP if documents are missing and more background checks are needed, but no country compares to,Pakistan when it comes to the percentage of people who get AP and the length of AP, not even close. AND I was talking to Aisha, not you. The fact of the matter is if you are from Pakistan the chance of getting AP is VERY high and the reason is because so many people from Pakistan before you have committed fraud in order to obtain visas the the US. Like it or not, it's the truth.

    Yay...he will be here soon

I don't really think that long APs for Pakistan is because of visa frauds. If we are talking about visa frauds, there are many countries ahead of Pakistan. specially south american countries.

It's more of security thing. Current situation of Pakistan isn't very good after all so they just have to run a lot of background checks to make sure person is clean. However, I agree with Ebunoluwa that "The fine line of balancing security and transparency has not been created yet."

Anyway guys, we are all here, on this forum, for common purpose. let's all focus on positive things and relate it to our lives. Carolyn, for who we are all happy, is example of patience here. So Aisha you need to put yourself together and be patient just like her. You need to understand, that people come here to see good things, good things like other people getting visas and getting together with family. It gives them hope and patience. If you just post negative stuff on here, it won't be helping them.

  6. I contacted embassy several times after the interview and they only replied that "at the moment your priority date is not current, Please check again later". I even asked for my passprt back in 2012 for travel purpose and returned it in oct 2013.

At the time of our first interview we paid the visa fees at the embassy.

The procedure in your case seems to be quite different than how did it go for us. Because our fees were submitted to NVC and our case was transferred to Embassy/Consulate as per priority dates.

Well, I'll recommend just go with the flow, do as Embassy said.

  7. Hi Naveed,

You will be able to help me around. I need guidance as we are really confused. Our Priority date is 27 september 2001. We were interviewed at the ISL embassy on 10 jan 2011. They kept our passports and gave us the tokens with a paper that said that we shall contact them if we do not receive our passports within 3 months. The pd retrogessed in that month back to year 2000. since then we did not receive any info/letter from the embassy. the status at the ceac website showed Administrative processing for 1 and Ready for other 4 family members. now when the pd is current we again asked embassy to update us about the case and they are asking for all fresh documents so they can schedule are interview.

why do they not send us any official letter for that purpose? Did you have to pay visa fees again?

    Kindly guide and share feedback

Once a case has been transferred to Embassy/Consulate from NVC, priority dates doesn't mean anything. Those dates only tells you processing at NVC, not Embassy/Consulate. You should have contacted them after 3 months instead of waiting for them to contact you.

Now, your all documents are expired cuz it's been years, so now they are asking for documents again. It's NVC rule that if processing is pending from your behalf and you do not contact them within one year, your visa fees lapses. However, your case was transferred to Embassy, so I am not sure if that rule is applicable with Embassy as well. If it is applicable, you'll need to pay all visa fees again. But it's really unlikely cuz visa fees are paid to NVC not Embassy. You should better submit documents ASAP and see if they ask for visa fees again.

  8. Yes I do have other relatives. My oldest son has been bringing me drinking water from his house. I am not close with my 2 sons. In America many families are not warm and loving like they are in Pakistan. Really my relatives don't care that much about me. I am on my own to handle difficult situations.

Yeah I understand that American white families aren't as closely bonded as Paki families, but I didn't know you were white, thought you were Paki living abroad like many of my family. They live abroad but they still live their culture and are closely bonded as us.

Anyway, hope everything goes fine for you. The more I read about people here (like you and Aisha) the more I realize that how difficult it can be without partner. Will pray for ya guys.

  9. MsZeen,

I too will be so happy when they finally finish our case. I really need my husband here with me. I am having many problems with my house this winter because it is so cold. First my furnace stopped working and ot cost a lot of money to have it repaired. Now the pipes that bring water into my house are frozen. I have been without water for 3 days. I called a plumber and he said put a heater next to the pipe and I have done that but I am still waiting for water.

Even if my husband couldn't help me financially just being able to have his arms around me would be a great support to me.

Wow, sorry to hear all that.

btw don't you have any other relative in states?
