VSC is Vermont Service Center. I was also transferred there- I actually happen to live in Vermont as well so I kind of wondered whether that would happen.

I don't know whether it's a bad or good thing HOWEVER it doesn't look like a huge number of people were transferred there, so maybe if they don't have as many cases they'll be fairly quick. We'll see.

Right and I have been hearing that it is like a black hole.. where once your file goes in there it never comes back out... haha.

According to USCIS the i130 and VSC has the processing time of 9 months. So I guess if this is true we will see something around June. =/

So, I just got the physical letter saying mine has been transferred to VSC. That does not sound too great... but it is what it is. Can someone please update my information on the transfer spreadsheet? Also my PD is the 3rd (not 2nd)

My file is finally transferred! The date on USCIS show as March 7th. Finally October filers are being transferred.

Here it is, boys and girls! Two days early, too. I'm a bit worried there might not be any transfers today, though. Can anyone confirm if they've done a transfer day concurrent with their numbers release?

For some reason the link doesn't seem to be working. But thank you for the reply. So in short in general they transfer about a week worth of files in the two days of the week they do the transfer?

Can anyone give me an estimate of about how many days worth of files they transfer per week? (ex: Transfer files from Aug 20-21 in a week) I know it greatly depends on how many files they received per day and holidays in between, but I'm just looking for a very general idea.

Does anyone know on average how many days worth of filers they transfer each day?

As long as there is a system in place and it is moving it isn't a fix problem on the overall scheme of things. An intern will be handling those for them -- I started to read all those steps they were taking in the other forum and it made me feel for them because I am sure they are spending many hours on those letters and contacts.

usually teh newest processing time is 2 months old when it is published. So i will not care about what they publish

Someone has kindly created a general email (google doc) for all of us to copy and paste and send it to everyone on the email list (on pg 3 of google doc). The plan is that everyone will email/fax them THIS TUESDAY (11/19) in hopes to raise awareness of the issue of the long dreadful processing time. Please help take part in this issue and pass it along.
I truly believe if we all took part in this, we can make change!
