I found this forum useful. I am new to US...in Washington DC, looking for a career in IT. I have worked in Malaysia, Qatar and other countries in same field. I moved here under DV lottery scheme, so suggest me best way to land in an IT career here in DC.

Dear All,

This forum is very helpful. I have successfully obtained my DV 2014 lottery visa few months back and now planning for USA. During the visa interview I have provided a address in USA as per requirement, now I don't want to go to that address but some other address in USA (different state). How can I change that address. Do I need to contact my home country USA embassy or I can change once I land inside USA? Do it make any difference if I land different place than mentioned on the DV package (envelope) I received after VISA interview?

thanks for your valuable information. I got birth and marriage certificate and translation as well. All passport i. progress my country take 3 month to issue passport. Do i need to send these documents photo copy with ds 230 for. to kentukey for 2nd letter. thanks all for help

this is very good forum and got valuable information. I have been selected for DV 2014. Now I want to process futher myself without agent or consultant. I am married

and have kid of two month not included during dv application last year since not born that time but wife info was included. My case. number is around 2k last figure and my country quota is 4k. Now my question is that what forms and how many copies hard soft do i need to fill and send. am I late in processing? since some from my place getting interview done. Can i get sample of ds230 form online to fill it correctly. i need to make sure i filled correctly all value before i send. Consultant here doing nice business and making dv people big thing and claiming your small mistake will lead you deny of 2 letter to pull money and charge are high with not much support. please help me. sorry for wrong typo since using mobile. thanks

Dear All, Thanks for the help. Really this is great forum for DV lottery Help. My Case number is like this
2014AS000002XX6 (My Country DV lottery Quota for 2014 is 6 thousand +, and my number is 2 thousand +)
I checked my status few weeks before, once I was going to apply for 2015, I saw check your status of DV 2014, so I checked with my 2014 Confirmation number and I am lucky to see Case Number with Offer Letter. I called on same day to Kentucky number and gave my case number, they told me follow instruction on the website (that is step 2 and three - send the education check documents and filled form) Which I have not done due to following reason which I want to as here in this forum.

My country most of DV offered people go to consultancy and process through them (sending documents, correspondence, idea etc with some fee) Shall I do the same or do myself ( since I am educated and can handle myself), furthermore, it is not mentioned anywhere in DV official site that the document they need can be sent scan copy or need hard copy? When I consulted some consultancy in my country, each are asking more documents (like my father, mother, wife's father, wife's mother, etc details) which are not mentioned on DV official site?
Up now in my life I have lived and worked almost 4-5 countries more than (12 months) do I need police clearance from all? Some countries I left almost 10 years before and it is very hard to get such document due to political problem there. What is solution in that case? I am married with one kid now. Kid birth was after the DV application and before DV section, what shall I do for my son to include in DV? Since my baby is small, I would like to leave my wife and kid for at least one and half year in my country and I go US and settle myself first and called them later, is it possible? If yes, how shall I proceed?
What will be the cost of over all process and how much money I have to bring USA for first time? Will I have to search job myself in USA after arrival there or government system will find job in my area where ever in US they want? Do I have choice and work to USA anywhere I like? Can I process for job online from now, showing company that I will get my DV visa soon.. what is chances of getting job?
