Here are some other suggestions to help with his transition:

*Make sure he brings the letter DS 3025 he got at medical for his AOS paperwork.

*He should bring another original copy of his birth certificate, just to keep for your records.

*If he plans on going to school or working, bring his high school diploma, so he will not have to take the GED.

How long does it take them to send it to the embassy NVC received our case and i have the number etc waiting to know if it was forwarded to Kingston. NVC received it 12-17 but they haven't sent it over yet i know im probly just over thinking but its nail biting

Need little help or guidance. Received the NOA 2 email and text 9/8/13 got the letter in the mail 11/15/2013 however the letter doesn't come with much instruction. Simply this petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate. I'm assuming thats the embassy in Jamaica Kingston the one i selected on the application but my question is do we contact them for a interview or just contact them to see if they have received the package and then call back later for a interview date its a little gray because im seeing different information on the processing timeline. Ok im a bit lost and since im new to this. I sent my I-129F Sep 26 Received a NOA October 7th by mail. Being im in the first stages and m y fiance is in Jamaica would this apply to me or is this after we receive a NOA2. Trying to figure out where this DS-160 falls into the processing timeline

Please fill out your timeline so that we may better assist you. When did you file the 129f? It is highly unlikely that you will get an expedite for a K-1 based on your description and it certainly can backfire as you have to show proof that you are able to support your fiance once he's here. I'd recommend against trying.

Expedites are for serious reasons not financial,

if it was medical with lots of medical proofs;

also if its K1 there's no valid reason to expedite

fiancé is not able to work until approved to do so

Your financial loss is not stating you need your fiance here to work and help its more along the lines of cutting your expenses maintaining two households and travel on one person is a strain it just depends on your situation for a lot of people depending on the country their fiance is in often times they reside in a country that lack opportunity meaning work is scarce to none so the US spouse is covering both ends. Like for myself and your travels to be with the one you love also puts your job on the line

I am having a few financial blows my mo lost her job so i am helping her out, and i work in a small company in accounting and anyone in the field knows how demanding of a job it can be especially when the company is small and you do everything they do not like to work with you when it comes to time off. I've been following the timeline of another person here, and in talking with her, her first email notification was not until about 4 days later. But it's random at best. We shouldn't get the first email until they set up the NOA1 and the petition has been started (they apparently won't email just to say Hey we got it!)

I would recommend doing what I am doing (besides being paranoid, don't worry I'm being that way too )

Call your bank every day and when they cash the check, you know you're in the clear. The others have told me first it goes to the lockbox, then it gets sent to the service center. At the service center, then they cash your check, and ONLY then do they send you your first email once the petition has been accepted to begin.
