We are really very excited that Im pregnant. This is my 3rd and his first.

I saw the doctor today and gave me a sonogram and now he is possitive that I am at 5 weeks now. So I had to update my preg. ticker today. We saw our little been on the screen. We cant go on my last menstration because i have had irregular ovulations for about 2 yrs. Now Im getting shots to prevent miscarriage. I had a hCG test done and it read at .75 so I have to have shots or something.

With my first pregnancy my pee test did not come up possitive until I was 11wks and I had a period for my first 2 months. They would not give me a blood test (because it was 1987) and I was even having the worst morning sickness ever in my life. With my first child I didnt come up possitive until about 10 weeks, I also had a period for first 2 months. So its known for me to have very low B-hCG levels and I have to go by my physical feelings and then I see the doctor. ~Keri

Not sure how accurate this is but someone told us that eating a lot of sweet foods (sugar) will cause the birth weight of the baby to go up. Jinky is finally drinking water instead of soda - I've been worrying about the HFCS and its effect on the baby.

She's also taking an EFA (essential fatty acid) supplement in addition to her prenatal vitamins.

When I was preg. with my son, I ate alot of chocolate. He had problems with digestion and gas, he kept spitting up, ALOT. He was born 7lbs 2oz.

When I was preg. with my daughter, I ate alot of food rich with grains like wheat bread and black bread (pumpernickle). She was born 8lbs. 14oz. big umbilical cord and thick placenta. Dont know if that had to do with anything but it was different. She was a big baby. She had no problems like her brother.

Just stumbled across this poll - I voted for taking care of the kitten and keeping it too, which I have done so many times already. All of mine are rescues:-). What I would more likely do, however, is take care of the kitten, have it vet checked and treated and looked after while I tried to 'rehome' it. While I would love more, we have 5 now and that is the limit according to my husband. Although, I did move down with six . . .:-). We did have a lost/stray cat show up 2 years ago and I built a boxed home for him on our porch (the weather was nice) while we put up notices and finally found a new home for him. Good for you for giving Billy his new home - his previous owners, if they were indeed his owners, didn't deserve him. He looks like he will mature into an absolutely beautiful cat.

If anyone is up at this time at night would really appreciate an honest answer. I met Salah my fiance in Jan. in May after I arrived, payed for the apartment for a month ( as his job is not providing him enough money to live on) he asked me for 200 euro to pay for a bed with a bunch of guys. As of June I have paid. I understand that work is not good for him, and have asked him on occasion to go back to Morroco where he could live for free. He said he would go if I went with him. He does not care he says about the visa.. and on to go further would rather live in Italy than the U.S. I am the one who thinks he should live here, as my buisness and I think life here is better. Anyway in a nutshell, yesterday, he called me to tell me that the Italian police had confiscated his posters. ( he sells these on the street) I lost it. I told him to move back to Morroco..went on and on about supporting him with his apartment for six months. Anyway, I don't know what to think. Is the guy using me? In my gut I dont think he is..

any wisdom would be grea!! And I realize this site is for visas and not for relationship help.

Just to give you a picture of what's in my mind.

Dont know about other countries but since I live in Egypt and we married March 2005, and for only love. He did not care whether we lived here or there. Egyptians do marry quickly. Most of them dont play around with too much dating. I've known a couple that got engaged after 1 month. Another couple married after 1 yr. If you are talking about Egypt, which is a poor country, then yes, it is common. I understand where you are coming from. There are alot of people not to be trusted no matter what country they live in. I have gotten alot of invites from men in Egypt and I even told them that Im very happily married and pregnant and they still wouldnt leave me alone. They said, "We can still be friends." I mean, why would men in Egypt want to be stranger/friends with someone else's wife?

I cant tell you to quit everything, I would just tell you what I would do if I were in your position. Seeing that your career is the most important thing in your life, and the employer takes good care of you and you have a large 401k going on, and loosing your place in this job is what scares you, then dont leave your job.

I say to put that first only because in my opinion, new couples that are 10 year age difference especially if the woman is 10yrs older, would have to take ALOT of love, trust and understanding in order to make it last a lifetime. If you feel comfortable living in this country for the rest of your life, give up your job, ready to sell everything you've got, and love each other very much, then go for it. A 5/6 month old kitten turns up on your doorstep in an appalling condition. Covered in fleas, half bald from a flea allergy, it has ear mites and is severely malnourished. You have a good idea where it lives (in appalling conditions) although this is not concrete. What would you do? Please pick from the above.

If its strong enough, would see if it will eat some kitten food before taking it to the S.P.C.A./Humane society. Right now, Im in no position to take in any animals. I know the S.P.C.A. will give great medical care and find it a good home. ~Keri
