  1. just got back from my infopass appointment at Delaware office. The process was quick. They gave me an extension stamp for another year on my passport. And they kept my original green card saying it's not valid and needs to be destroyed. The lady was very professional and told me Vermont office was experiencing a backlog. But she said I would be able to expect a decision in 1-3 months. She also suggested that I would be welcome to apply for citizenship anytime from now. And the whole process of applying for citizenship would take under a year.

  3. I traveled to South America and stayed there for a month, didn't have any issues te entering. Just make sure you have your expired gc and the NOA/ extension letter with you and you are good to go.

Thanks for your reminder, Liliay. So excited about the trip.

I traveled to Canada at the end of June and had no issues when returning to the US. As long as you have the extension letter with expired GC, you're good to go! Enjoy your trip :-)

    Thank you so much!

  4. Hi, USCIS does not update anything regarding biometric online. The next online change you'll see should be when you're approved and it says "card in production." Sometimes, USCIS does not even update the approval and you'll just find your green card quietly sitting in your mailbox! Good luck to you!

Thank you so much! It's really helpful. I can now stop checking the case status everyday.

  5. Hi all,

I was wondering how long after you all got the NOA1 you received the Biometrics appointment letter. I only ask because I am an April filer and got my NOA1 on 4.4.16 but haven't gotten the biometrics letter, however I'm going on vacation May 16th and don't want to be having a panic attack all the time I'm away. Please let me know. Thank you!

I got mine about 10 days after I got my NOA1.
