  1. Congratulations! Pls share us ur interview experienced smile.png thanks

Hi hopesoon, My interview was quite smooth. Initially I got call on the window where an Indian officer asked me few basic question like, is this ur first marriage? what ur husband does? have u ever applied for an American visa?

she took my passport and gave me one sheet and explained me all marriage based rights and about domestic violence and all(as mine is marriage based visa). she gave me back all the original documents that we hd submitted in NVC. she asked me to wait.

after 20 minutes again my ticket no flashed on the screen, this time i went to the adjacent window where an American lady took my interview. she asked me how we met?

    who arranged our wedding?

    how many guest wr there?

    about his visit to india?

then asked who sends u money?

than she said Congratulation ur visa is approved and u ll get it within a week. she gave me one sheet with my alien no and also explained me that I hv to pay $ 165 before leaving for USA.i finished my interview in 10 minutes. i wnt there at 6:30 and by 8:30 my interview was over. I checked my status just after the interview It was Administrative processing ...

today morning ( after 24 hours) when i checked it it was updated as issued...

Apart from wedding album and his boarding passes she didnt ask more.. No question related to way of communication... she was very sweet and very understanding... before the interview she asked me to read the oath... thats all

  2. Congrats!

I know different embassies are, well, different, but how was your interview? Do they ask more questions since our petitions are marriage based? What other evidence did you bring to support your petition?

Again, Congrats! Your family will be together really soon, here in the US. smile.png

Hi Miacarmela, yeah u r right even in India different embassies work in different way.

then asked who sends u money i said my husband and i have 2-3 western union slip as i thrown other. she said no need.

  3. If you are informed on the day of the interview that you are approved, you should get your visa within 8 to 10 business days.till then the ceac website shows your case status as AP till the time it is issued. Its normal and it just means that the case is in the final processing.Sometimes it takes longer if they require any additional document during the processing.

thanks Suv.. Thats what i was thinking how come it is possible that all r in AP.

  4. hello everyone, we were going through Mumbai embassy website and found that almost all cases (interviewed in Nov) are in AP. Is this very common for Indian embassy to put the cases in AP? although whoever has shared their experience so far in this forum said that their visa got approved but again AP.

Can someone tell what does Administrative Processing mean for our embassy? Is this because of the large no of people or smthing?

  5. To clear out any doubts for those having Interviews, please ignore all the experiences people had prior to October of 7th, 2013. The process has changed in India. No forms need to be filled out by beneficiary except for online DS-160. There will not be any packets mailed to Beneficiary other than a Interview letter in regular postal mail to the beneficiary. It is this letter the benefeciary should have to get medical and OFC done. At the same time, the DS-160 can be filled out and the $240 fee be paid. Once these are all done, please check ustraveldocs website daily to see if any appointment dates would show up and schedule. Even though ours was scheduled for 25th of Nov, the website allowed us to change to Oct 28th, 2013 and we were done with all of that and still waiting forthe passport to arrive. It is delayed due to the holidays on Nov 4th and 5th.

Could u pls tell me how long it takes to deliver the visa at pick out location, after it get updated as ISSUED on CEAC website.

    Thanks..

  6. hi vj frend,

i struck in very big problem please help me

my pd is 7 nov 2012 and now my case running in nvc i also submit my ds-260 and my wife send i-864 without co sponsor and my wife have no sufficient income her pay is $16500/-. can nvc demand co-sponsor at this time or nvc left case without co sponsor and case left and send embassy because till interview time we arrange co-sponsor.

NVC will shortly send u an email regarding co sponsor. so its better for u to find some joint sponsor from family and friend.

No, ur will case will not move forward without this. when the NVC will get all the related documents then only they will forward ur case to the Embassy for interview.

    Good luck

  7. Do they ask for lot of paper specially proof to evidencing our relationship?

How was experience?? was it friendly or are they very professional people?

hd they asked u about marriage album? Pls do share about the ambiance there?

1-how do you meet ypur wife ?
2 your wife working status ?
3- where you working now ?
    4- any kids ?
5- when did ur wife last visit you after marriage.?
6- your wife telephone and address?
    Thats it .....

  8. Yes I carry everything and I show it to them as well.

consular officer will talk with panel doctor and get back to me.

And what I want to know is everything will be ok and I will be issued visa as they took my passport with them.

    Thanks

as they took ur passport.. so its a good and positive sign.. and because your panel physician gave u the report that mean u r mediacally ok n have no complication so dont worry .. u ll get its soon, Keep posting us. Good Luck

  9. 10 more days to go...

I am so anxious .. Although I have all the required legal documents .. enough supporting documents evidencing our relationship...But feeling little nervous.

Getting paranoid.. checking same documents everyday.. I dont want AP..........

Just wanna know everyone feeling the same????

also those documents for which Y is mentioned in interview letter (Y: The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate)

Is there any chance that interviewer ll ask for the copy at that at time of interview? as I dnt have copy of W2 of my father in law who is the joint sponsor. in my IL they have mentioned Y for financial evidence..

    ANY IDEAidea9dv.gif

  10. My status now shows this..

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy New Delhi.

My interviewer clearly said my Visa was approv ed

thats so Sad... if it was approved by the interviewer and they didn't ask for any further documents, its little weird that they kept u administrative processing.. the worst part of entire process is this waiting time. just keep hope..

  11. Ok, Thanks, a few yeras before we had to pay VFS fee for some service during my IV visa interview. So , i was confused. Thanks.

I do see you have completed the medicals . My husband does not have any vaccination report with him. What do we do ???

Also , if you dont mind me asking how much will it cost altogther for medical exam and vaccinations ???? Thanks

A few more days for your interview. All the very best..... Do share your experience with us.

Hi MJSAM, I m nt aware of any kind of VFS fee, neither my attorney nor NVC/embassy has informed me so far about this.

Even i dont hav vaccination report, the panel physician asked me about previous immunization or medical complications, I told them all (i dnt have any complication so far). They gave me shots of Tdap n MMR (everyone gets this for sure).

The basic fee they asked is 2330 ( physical examination + X ray + Blood test ), rest u hv to buy the vaccine ur self (whatever ur panel physician prescribes u)

The process was quite fast n smooth. It hardly took an hour.

after 8 days they asked me to collect the report.

  12. Omg. Now I am more worried pallu:( I wish I was the lucky one to get the Visa and passport in 2-3 days.. Oh God plz I get the good news asap. That is tomorrow morning. Plz all others also pray for me.

just b patient.. I ll pray for u. I have seen many vj members getting same situation but after 2- 3 days they get ISSUED. Wait till Friday. If everything was fine at the time of interview and it is approved there is no reason to delay.

Smwhere i read delhi embassy takes times in issuing if urs is delhi than its quite normal. So be positive.. before friday u ll get it.smile.png
