Which of the following Documents I need to send for my 5 years old Step Daughter Case IV Package?

-Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

-Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

-Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

Do I need to send the Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate between her mother and myself?

I am pretty sure I don't need to send the Original police certificate(s) since the child is only 5 years old. Or do I?

My wife already has a Visa on hand.

Rebecca 2014. I filed Single the past two years because my wife was not here in the US. I went thru the whole process without a problem. My Friend also did the same thing and everything went well for her as well. If your spouse lives outside the US and has No Social Security/Green Card Yet I think that the Goverment will not punish anyone if they choose to file single.

Like I said, I filed single and my wife got approved on October 08th 2014.

I sent a request and last Thursday I got an email saying that my expedite request is under review. Mine is for the Dominican Republic.

When I was at my interview on 10/08/2014, they did stoke interview to like 5 couples. The Stoke interview can happen even in your first interview if they are red flags.

Thats the Million dollar question Camelott, I guess it depends on the volume of work. Mine took 30 days to arrived at NVC and 15 to have a case# and Invoice ID# assigned at NVC.

Lacoco, around 2 to 3 weeks and your interview should be 6-8 Weeks from Case Completion.

Mine and plenty of us took around the same time for Santo Domingo.

Looking at your timeline, I would not be surprise if you hear something by next week end or for part of the following week.

It usually takes NVC a Month to get a case then another one to assign a Case# and Invoice#. I know that whe you are in a process like this, it can be a pain waiting. Time does fly tho.

Before the interview. I found out once the get case got to NVC. I sent the child I130 on May and got NOA on August 27. NVC received it on September 27. My wife interview was last wednesday October 8th. The consul made a copy of the child NOA2 and said that the Embassy would be contacting NVC. NVC hasn't even assign a Case# and Invoice# yet.

Thats is why I was wondering if I should send an Expedite Request now with tha info or wait unitl NVC Assign a Case# and Invoice#.

Well. The reason I sent a second I130 is because my lawyer screwed up when he told me my wife 5 yeard old did not need an I130 if I mentioned her on my wife I130. The reason I will ask for her case to be expedited is because my stepdaughter which is 5 years old cannot care for herself if her mom decides to come to the US immediately.

Well. It was an error on the part of my lawyer. My question is if I should ask for expedition now or wait until NVC Assigned a case and Invoice Number.

Hello All,

My wife Green Card got approved on October 8th, due to some errors my Step daughter case was sent late and her case got approved at USCIS on August 26 and then NVC received on OCtober 1st.

I explain that to the consul and said said that they would be requesting my stepdaughter case from NVC, not that I don't trust them but I want to be on top of things. The consul made a copy of my stepdaughter approved letter and stapled it to my wife case.

Can I request the case to be expedited before a CASE# and INVOICE# gets assign at NVC?

Elarissa, count the busniess days and not every single calenday day.

Basically exclude Saturdays, Sundays, Fed Holidays.

When they say 30 business days. I look at it as 45 calendays days.

I am Cristal. I received a CheckList for my AOS which I sent last Thursday again. That will further delay my process. That sucks. It's taking them like 30 Business days(45 Calendar Days) to work on packages, at least for us DR people.

1. I have a case at NVC currently for my wife.

2. I have a separate case for my wife 5 yrs. old daughter (my step daughter) and it is currently at USCIS waiting for approval.

I submitted two separate I-130's Months apart due to an error from my lawyer. One for my wife and then the other for her daughter.

It is time for me to submit the AOS for my wife case but I am not sure if I should use I-864 or I-864EZ.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kimriley, Whne you submitted your DS-261? Depending on when you sumitted it is that your IV Bill wil become available for you to pay.

Mines was about 25 days after I filled the DS-261.

Most likely you status will change to Initial review witihin a week and a week after that they will approve it.

Same thing happened to me and I was approve within two weeks. Approval Is coming.
