My parents are both in thier 60's, do they still need to attend the CFO seminar? If NO, do they need to go the CFO Office and get something in writing?

Are they on the same Case? If so, you only need to send one of each document for botth of them. In my parents case, I had to send two of each documents because they had separate cases.

Did the embassy receive your baptismal certificate?

The 2go website says it was delivered and accepted by so and so. But no confirmation whethere it was approve or not.

I did email them a few days ago, and they just responded to me this morning. The email says no update for this passport number. I guess we just need to be a little more patient. But it's been almost 2 months now and its been stuck on AP.

My Dad had his interview last May 8, 2014 at the Manila consulate. Up to now his papers is still on AP and no movement since May 13. Are there anybody else here that are on the same situation? it has been a long time since they touched my Dad's papers.

No movement on my Dad's papers since May 13 ethier. His interview was on May 8 and we submitted my baptismal cert that they're asking for. No news since then.

It looks to me, they want the petitioner's baptismal certificate.

Was your birth certificate late registered? They normally ask for supporting documents like baptismal if the petitioner's BC is late registered since you are chasing for a parent's visa (IR5), to establish that your father is really your parent.

My Dad's interview at the Manila embassy was today and they put his Visa under AP. The embassy is asking for "baptismal certificate for PETR". What is PETR? does anybody know?

You have to check the website everyday if they posted the dates. Otherwise they go so quick.

Ussually they post the available dates on the website on Mondays. Try checking the website everyday because they go quick.

I did the same thing. My Mom's was approved two weeks before my Dad's from the USCIS. NVC gave them separate case numbers as well. Just make sure though that you don't end up paying the AOS twice, because that was my mistake. You can just use 1 AOS for both of them.

I am a little sad today after my Mom's medical result. She will be on a sputum procedure for 2 months. On the other hand, my Dad's medical result was perfect. I guess my question is, if my Dad pass his interview on May 8, when does he exactly need to enter the US? is there an expiration for that? Can he wait until my Mom is done with her sputum procedure and pass her interview? Thanks in advance:)

A few days ago the embassy posted some available dates in May, which was 5,6 and 8. My Mom's original schedule was suppose to be May 15. I was able to cancel and change her schedule on May 8 together with my Dad. I got lucky because there were only 8 spots left. So I suggest that you might wanna ask first if there are a bunch of spots available when rescheduling because you might loose your spot once you cancel your sched. Good luck!

Yes, that means your case is complete. I received the same thing for my mom's case and few days later they emailed me the official case complete letter. Then about a week later they emailed us the interview letter.

My Mom's schedule for interview is on May 15 and she's planning on leaving the province to go Manila for her medical exam on the 5th of May. Would be their be any issue with that? Is the medical exam too close to the interview schedule?

My Mom's case was completed today at the NVC. I wonder how long does it for the NVC to schedule an interview in Manila? Does anybody know? Thanks!

It took 4 weeks for the NVC to process my Mom's case number. Then after 20 business days upon recieving, they sent me that bill for the AOS and IV Bill thru my e-mail.

From which center their petition was approved? My parents petition was filed in march 2013 case was transfered frm nbc to texas and havent heard anything yet still waiting desperately.

A friend of mine is on the same situation. She filed I-130 for her mother in March 2013. Her papers was just transfered from USCIS to NVC this month. I think Texas is really slow on processing.

OK So, i have to submit my certified copy of my marriage AND birth certificate......where/when will i get this back???

USCIS Doesnt return your documents. That's why they don't ask for original or certified copies. NVC on the other hand, returns all the original documents to the applicant after the interview.

Hello everyone,

So we filed an I-130 application for my wifes father and just got notice that the petition was approved and forwarded to the NVC. On the NOA we received, there are no futher instructions. It just says that the NVC will contact the benificiary for further processing. I know we here have to file the I-864. So my question is when do we do that? Do we wait for the NVC to contact us? I'm sort of confused on that part. If I remember from my wifes I-129 process, I started gathering all the information and documents for her affidavit of support and I am doing the same now.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

The NVC will email you the instructions. They will send you the bill for the AOS and IV bill.
