  1. This is the error message:

"Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted"...do you know why?

That's strange. I think I have also seen other people having the same issue, not sure why. I would call DoS to find out. The registration process went fine on us, I hope that's just a temporary thing.

Do you mind if I ask what city your fiance is located? Mine is in Shenyang, Liaoning province.

  2. This is great news! By the way I checked the DHL website this morning, looks like cleanence stage is completed. Please update me the date when you receive the P3. I am few days behind you, I wish we can all have P3 by next week.

By the way, can you register on the ustraveldocs website? I am having hard time registering.

I'm not sure if you mean the following website?

    https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=Chinese%20(Simplified)&country=China

Yes, my fiance was able to register on this website. What's the error message on the web preventing you from register BTW?

  3. Thanks.

Mine updated on the 19th still saying AP and DHL is still showing clearance event. Guess our files is in that pile.

Yeah, buggy indeed. Thanks for the helps.

FYI, I got reply from GuangZhou embassy:

    Thank you for your inquiry.

According to our record the applicant’s file has been uploaded into our system and a packet was sent to the applicant’s address as provided in the visa petition. Once the applicant fills out the forms, mails it to the consulate, and IV Unit receives this information from the applicant, IV Unit will send out a notice regarding interview date. If the applicant has not received such packet within 4 weeks, please provide the most updated telephone number and Chinese mailing address in both Chinese and English at http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn//immigrant-visa-unit-question.html .

  4. Thanks.

Ya, I've also checked DHL status, I used "EXP 05 NOV 2013A", and it's still in clearance delay.

    hey, Same statge here,

have you received your P3 yet?

Not yet, still waiting....CEAC status changed on 17th I believe, I'm not sure how long it'll take for embassy to mail out the P3. I'll keep you updated.

  6. Yes, this was the case for me. P3 and then P4 came very soon after administrative processing. Although I'm sure there are exceptions so don't want to guarantee anything. I would recommend calling the DOS hotline as they can tell you from this point when the embassy has sent out the P3 and if they have received it once you mail it back.

    Thank you for replying Tim.

So my fiancé is most likely to receive P3 pretty soon? That'd be awesome, I can't wait to get this over with. I've been using DHL reference tracking my case file, however all packages are seemed still in clearance delay. Hopefully the K1 visa has some priority when coming to this stage in embassy. Thanks again and best luck to you :)

  7. CEAC status changed from "ready" to "Administrative Processing". This happened about 2 weeks after I received NVC letter which saying that my case has been forwarded to US embassy in Guangzhou. Does this mean my fiance will be getting P3 soon? How can I check my case status at this point besides using CEAC? Thank you and best luck to everyone.

    P3

Start preparing for the P3, Get 2 2x2inch passport style photos made_ you will have to submit 2 pictures(I recommend to make at least 10 pictures because at the Medical exam, your require to submit like 5-6 photos and than you have to submit 2 more photos during the visa interview), A copy of your fiance(e) Passport information page(Copy it in color and make sure to sign the bottom of the paper and date it) For some people it has asked to submit Form DS230 Part 1 only, for others it asks to submit DS160 Online Form and then send a copy of the confirmation page from the DS160 once you have submitted it online. I suggest you fill out DS230 part one now, so you have it filled and also go online to fill out the DS160 Online Form : https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/default.aspx

Everything moves really fast from here on out so prepare for the P4 too, you need to go and get your Notarized Documents made, (Police Certificate, Certificate of Marriageability(Stating that fiance(e) is single and able to marry), Birth Certificate, any other required notarized documents) Make sure everything in Chinese is translated to English and notarized! This process took my fiancee about 2 weeks to get because the notarized office took their time to translate all the Chinese documents to English than Notarized the Chinese documents and English translated documents.

You must fill out DS260 because it is now required for K visas in China (contact NVC and request them to give you your case number and case invoice ID number) You can fill this form out here : https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

    Follow instructions here too:

    http://ustraveldocs.com/cn/K1%20Instruction%20DS160-2.pdf

(a side note: this instruction packet here will be needed during the medical exam, they will request to see this instruction packet along with the P4 email letter)

Start preparing for the P4, once you get the P4, you can go ahead and schedule an interview. It takes a while to get ready for the interview, so best prepare now.

Thank you soooo much @httuner!! This information helps a lot! :)

My fiancee has filled up DS160 online but has not submitted yet, she has also prepared notarized documents for P4.

So Just for my better understanding, the next steps for my fiancee will be:

    1. wait for P3

    2. Submit DS160 online and mail back required documents (according to P3 instruction)

    3. wait for P4

    4. Pay the fee, schedule interview online, get medical examination, go to interview

Please correct me if there's anything that I misunderstood. Thank you again!

    P3

For the people who already get you P3, I'm wondering that are we supposed to get P3 in mail or email?? Thank you.

  8. You'll get a "P3" in the mail...regular mail. It will ask that you provide the following:

    DS-160 (online)

Copy of Passport Personal Information page

    Two passport photos.

You'll return that to the Consulate as instructed.

You should register on ustraveldocs.com and pay your visa fee.

You'll receive a "P4" email from the consulate after they process your "P3" response with instructions on the paperwork you're required to submit. It will also inform you that you can make an interview appointment on ustraveldocs.com.

The paperwork list can be found here: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-preparedocuments.asp

Thank you so much for the information. One more thing, when should I get medical examination? After receiving p3?

  9. Its been over 4 weeks since my I 129f approval from USCIS but called NVC twice still has not received the case. Here this morning I received email from NVC inquiry regards on my case

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center has not received

your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Please scan and email your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action to

nvcresearch@state.gov. Type the receipt number in the subject line of

your email. We will contact USCIS on your behalf to find your petition.

If your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action does not indicate USCIS approved

your petition and sent it to the Department of State, please contact

    USCIS for a status update.

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Edward Tio

I'm wondering how long it takes NVC to reply your email. I emailed them on 24th, and have not received a word yet.

  10. Hi. For all I know, you have to meet the poverty guidelines http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf. So, depending on the size of your household, if your income/assets will be able to meet the requirement then you will be fine. Not every consulate accepts co-sponsors. Try to research more about your consulate and go from there.

    Goodluck!

I see, my income does meet the requirement and is way above that, however I don't have that much money in saving currently, will that be okay?

  11. My husband had also been in school (5.5 years) so therefore his tax returns showed next to nothing. However, they did meet the requirements. Your job and supporting evidence showing your job, should be good. They should be able to figure out that you were in school and made very little but have a good job to prove you make a good income now! Good luck!

Really?? That's a great news to me!! I really hope they consider my situation not just looking at the tax return. Thank you so much for replying!

BTW Do you mind to share which stage you are at right now?

  12. Hi all,

I graduated from college in June this year, and settled a job in Santa Barbara, CA with a decent income (above 70k). I applied k1 visa for my fiancee in Auguest, and we have it approved in September. My question is do I need a co-sponsor since I don't have much income shows up on my school years' tax return?

    Documents I currently have:

    - official job offer letter (include job responsibilities, annual income, type of employment relationship, etc.)

    - official employment verification letter (include starting date, annual income, position)

    - pay stubs since July

    - Saving statement from bank (include amount deposit from past year, current balance, date opening account)

    - Stock market investment statement ( includes trades and balance for the past year)

I do know that the tax return is the most important source to show my income, but I was a student and only worked part time during the school years. I did not even file my tax return for last year since I was completely focus on my education and research. I'm just curious if the above documents good enough to show my income without the tax return.

    Thank you so much.
