Same for us too! Hoping that today they make amazing progress!
-
All,
March Interview has been set.
Got my interview date MAR04 @ 1:00pm
Good Luck to all
Congrats! Out of curiosity, did they email you or did you call to find out?

Just got off the phone with NVC and we finally got a Case Complete!
For those wondering where they are in the review process, NVC accepted our packet IV on 12/30 and I believe it was reviewed in the past day or so.
-
Anyone who's sent their DS-260 and supporting documents towards the end of December get a case complete yet?
We submitted electronically but are still waiting to hear from NVC ...
Almost at 20 days.
-
Does anyone know what the NVC response time is for folks who have opted in for EP and sent this supporting docs via email? The operators at NVC say it'll take max 30 business days to respond to files received electronically. My confirmation email from NVC says 20 business days.
Any ideas on which is correct?

NVC closed again
Just got off the phone with NVC.
They're open again.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a "Tier 2" at NVC.
With USCIS my go-to was to ask Tier 1 for Tier 2 immediately as they seem to know something and be able to actually do something.
I'm a bit frustrated with my inability to OPTIN (i.e. NVC never sees my email) as it's been 18 days since I've opted in.
Just trying to think of other options (other than the supervisor trick).
-
Last month, when I was opting in for Montreal EP. My wife sent an email to opt-in from her account and received a response from NVC almost right away, however, when I sent it, I did not receive a response until 10-14 days after. I don't know what the deal is or why it takes so long. Make sure you send opt-in e-mails from both, petitioner and beneficiarys emails.
Thanks for the tip.
We now have sent the OPTIN email from both beneficiary and petitioner accounts. Something's gotta stick.
-
Exactly! From your signature I see that your IV fee has been paid as well. Did you get any mail/email as instructions for what's next?
I don't know if I should pay my IV fee as well.
We received instructions on the AOS fee and to fill out the DS-261.
Also received instructions to pay the IV Fee.
No instruction on what to do next but we filled out the DS-260 once it was available as well.
I sent a second OPTIN email today. The operator I spoke with said it couldn't hurt.

Hi folks! I'm so glad that I came across this forum. You guys are all great!
Just wondering if anyone has requested to opt in Electronic Processing lately? I've sent my optin email November 20th and so far haven't received any confirmation email from NVC for the new EP case number. It seems kinda slow compared to other members on this forum. I called NVC the representatives told me there's no time frame for EP request.
NVC has just taken the AOS fee from my bank account. I'm confused as whether to send the AOS package in plain mail or wait for EP to complete and send AOS in email?
Advice is more than welcome! Thanks in advance!
It seems we requested EP on the same day.
I too haven't heard back and was told the exact same thing from NVC.
I sent a second OPTIN email just to be safe.
I even sent the AOS package last week but was told that when I get my OPTIN acceptance I'll need to re-send.
Seems incredibly slow compared to other people's experiences with EP ...

Hi Everyone!
We'll be having our interview out of Montreal and have opted in for Electronic Processing.
I sent my OPTIN email about 2 weeks ago to NVCElectronic@state.gov.
Still no response from them (except the auto response) ...
Is this normal? I'm thinking we should have gotten some type of confirmation by now.
Just curious about other people's experience with OPTIN emails.
At this point all of our information is compiled/forms completed. We're just waiting to be accepted for Electronic Processing.
-
Hi Guys! I'm wondering if someone can let me know what to expect next.
I swear I've read through every guide but am still a bit fuzzy on this.
We'll be going through Montreal so are electronically filing.
We've successfully paid our AOS (i.e. in PAID status) and have submitted our DS-261.
Should we expect an email from NVC requesting the I-864 OR should I just email the AOS package (I-864 and supporting documents) now instead of waiting?

Hello everybody,
our NOA2 is dated Oct 30th I just called NVC - they have not received out case yet
Anyone of you with MSCxx # (field offices) NOA2s from the end of Oct have been assigned the IIN number already?
Thanks and good luck to you all.
We were from MSC and had our I-130 approved in early November.
NVC has assigned info to us and we've begun the payment process.
USCIS says it can take up to 30 days for the file to reach NVC and another 8 weeks (I think) to be scanned in at NVC.
I'd keep calling them. There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason as to the timelines with this stuff ...
-
I gave the NCV a ring today and was actually given a case number! I asked the operator for my IIN and she said it wasn't generated.
I plan on calling tomorrow but what are folks' thoughts on this? Do you think the IIN is already created and operator just didn't want to disclose?
Either way I think (actually just hope) it's coming soon.

Blueberry, BIG HUGS to you, girl! You're gonna see hubby soon, right? And after that, the wait will hopefully be shorter than what you've waited so far. Once you get NOA2, the process will speed up! I hope you get something soon! Do you know if yours has been sent to another center? Maybe you should have your hubby contact his Senator...especially since you're not getting answers about the new center. I haven't kept up with that news because I've been too busy with NVC and the current requirements (plus work, life, baby, etc...) Anyway, I'm seriously hoping/crossing fingers and praying for you!!!!!
YAY!!!! I am super happy for you!!! That was really fast! So yours was originally in Overland Park and now this one is MO? That's good news for all the people who are here waiting. Hopefully they are transferring. Congrats though! You should come join us on the NVC page now. That's your next step. I hate to say it but NVC is also really slow right now. It takes about 3 weeks to get your case number from the date of your NOA2....and then it takes a couple of weeks for them to bill you for IV and AOS. Then another 30 (business) days to review your package and make it a case complete (assuming you have no errors that need fixing, which means that you should add another 30 days for each error.) Then whatever time it takes your embassy...so far, we're almost at 2 months since NOA2 and waiting for a case complete, HOPEFULLY before Thanksgiving. And hoping for an interview in December, but realistically, it will probably be January. Crossing fingers as that would be about 3 or 4 months from NOA2 to an interview. (Hope that isn't disappointing, but just giving you what is happening.) Come join us in the NVC thread!
Here it is: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/463192-nvc-filers-november-2013/
I get the feeling that NVC is slow due to other folks' timelines. Doesn't mean I can't call NVC every day on my way home from work.
Congratulations!!
would like to know though, is it DCF or expedited? Thanks
Definitely not DCF.
Honestly, I don't know how things shook out but I did request an expedite. I also called one of my Senators' office and spoke with his immigration's case worker. I don't think the expedite took as it was only 1 week between expedite request and NOA2.
However, in a letter from my Senator I received the other day it said he contacted USCIS the same day that I received NOA2 notice via email. So I'm guessing it was his office's inquiry that moved things along.
-
My NOA2 took two weeks to get to the NVC and I was able to get my case no. over the phone along with giving my email address at the same time.
That's encouraging! The NVC folks tell you up to 8 weeks ...
I have an hour long drive home every night. This means I have all the time in the world to check in with NVC daily.
-
We got our hardcopy of NOA2 today.
It came from Lee Summit, MO.
Our NOA1 was from Overland Park, KS.
I never saw a transfer of processing centers so I don't know why they came from different places ...
-
Call NVC and gave them your emails address
Can you do this until they've assigned you a NVC case #?
Am I correct in thinking that they wont have a record of your case until that file hits their system (i.e. scanned in)?
From my phone calls to them over the past few days they are unaware of your USCIS case # until you've been delivered and scanned in.
Also ... how long are folks seeing it take between NOA2 to NVC receiving? I'm thinking it could be a few weeks ...
-
We received our NOA2 a few days ago via email. Not sure if it matters, but I'm a USC filing from abroad.
We haven't received our paper form via snail mail just yet so I'm not sure if it came from KS or MO. Our NOA1 came from KS.
I'll be sure to post more once I have it.
-
Okay, thanks! I guess we're Montreal then.
We have all of our police clearances so I guess it's just medical and the usual documents that we need to fill out for this stage of the process ...
-
Hi guys, I'm curious about other USCs living in Canada and their experience after NOA2.
Does our case go to NVC or does it head over to the Embassy/a Consulate in Canada?
Also, how long are folks finding that it takes to go from NOA2 to Interview?
Thanks in advance!
-
Do any September filers are both out of country ?? or does anyone knows if the process changes when that is the case ?? as far as NOA 2's seems like we are pretty much in for a long long run for what I understand KS has not approved his first yet, right ?? Oh Boy !!
We're both living outside of the US working together and filed in September. We got our NOA1 a week and a half ago and our application is at Overland Park.
I haven't heard of any I-130 approvals out of Overland just yet ...
-
Good for you Soulsplash!
Noting dates from your timeline ,we are 2 days behind you so fingers crossed hubby will get hard copy of NOA1 anyday now too...He is in Ohio and applied to same lockbox,so definately fingerds crossed and everything else for that matter lol
I'll be sure to keep you posted.
It took FOREVER (IMHO) to receive the hard copy. Perhaps it's because we're abroad (i.e. Canada).
Yay!
(Just fyi... Overland. Not Oakland
)
Oops! I'm sure by the time we get a NOA2 I will have obsessed over the name Overland so many times I will never forget it or confuse it with Oakland ever again.

Saylin since you interviewed at the Consulate in Montreal I was wondering if you knew if I would be able to accompany my wife to her visa interview?
The Montreal Consulate General site states that only interpreters are allowed and relatives will have to wait outside the waiting room.
Wondering if this is really true ...
