since my k-1 visa was approved recently ,i have collected my passport recently from Amex islamabad.

and the lady at the counter told me that i have to pay $165 before i travel to states for k-1. I asked her i am on fiance K-1 ,and i was assuming it was spousal visa where you make $165 before travelly to states,BUT SHE SAYS NO ITS FOR EVERY ONE.

I am travelling soon and i really wanted to know that do i really have to make this payment???

if yes than we can make it online payment on how?

any help much appreciated as im flying soon

Hi anybody can help... I was in the US for 10 years I married to a US citizen it's been 13 years and we have 3 kids. I was under removal proceding and then the judge administratively closed my case and I was ordered for a stock interview. While waiting for that my father got sick so I left us without attending the interview on March 2008. Now my wife have applied for an immgrate vise on January 2016 . would any one know if I would need a waiver. My old case was denied due to not showing up on the interview.

its a very difficult question. i would suggest to contact a good lawyer who only deals with waivers and only waivers nothing else

In CA but, PG&E gave us a letter to confirm we had applied for/were receiving energy at our new address a couple of days after we moved in so that we didn't have to wait for a utility bill (it was more urgent than a DL for us as we needed proof of residency for the local schools). Maybe you can see if your utility provider will do something similar.

you have 90 days to get your driver's license. I definitely waited at least a month before I obtained mine.

See Group D. Supply two of those documents when you have them to complete the process. Your ability to get a DL depends on those documents, so I don't know how long it will take for you.

I went to DMV in Illinois and they are asking for few documents to prove my mailing address. It takes a month plus to get those mails like utilities etc..

How long usually it has taken for people to get a driving license after they have arrived?

i have already received it. but at the time passport was pending delivery from embassy, there was no indication where my passport is. i felt like that it has been lost in system. dont worry, just give them a call and they will probably tell u that it is still in processing. its normal.

Ok so I'm a little confused I had my interview last week and my medical didn't arrive on the day of my medical, it came a few hours after my interview. The officer kept my passport and told me I would get my passport back in 2 weeks time.

After my interview my case status went into AP. On Monday my case went back to READY, then this morning it changed again back to AP.

Is this normal?

I wasn't able to track the passport.. Is there a way to do so? I believe for non immigrant visas yes, but don't know if we can track passport after interview for immigrant visas too.

I was only able to check status on CEAC and it shows "issued" since Thursday. So I am hoping to recieve passport this week.

They don't issue the visa same day. They keep your passport if your application is approved and return via courier to your city once visa is issued and printed on passport. Takes about 10 business days

Interviewed and visa issued but waiting for passport. Interview was just on April 6th, they said passport will be received In 10 business days. inshallah

Keep in touch with your fellow VJ members with same month priority date, it helps a lot.

I don't think there is any topic for Feb 2015 PD yet but there is one for 2015 filers. Check that for updates from everyone.

Heyy vj members, quick question ...how long does it take islamabad embassy to schedule interviews? My lawyer said it takes 3-6 months..is that true??? My priority date is feb 2015. My case is at nvc stage now just completed ds260. Kindly help :/ im really worried I didn't know it would take extra 3-6 months

Yeah that's true and can even take longer if placed on Administrative Processing in short AP. search for ppl going on AP in this forum

I was interviewed on 21st March, interview went well. My wife and new born US citizen kid was along with me. At the end officer said case looks fine and I will hear in four weeks. He kept my passport and did not given me any slip.

Is this normal?

I am in the similar situation. Was told that passport will return to me in few weeks and was not given any slip but yet ceac says AP. Is your ceac also saying AP? Any date changes?

On march 30 my husband went for his interview in Islamabad. The officer told my husband your good and took his passport and told him he should be receiving his passport 2-3 weeks and gave him a white slip 221g. On the white slip it they marked administrative processing. I wonna know how long would it take for his visa to be issued? Please anyone let me know me and my husband are really frustraded.

if officer said 2-3 week then should be fine. i was told around same time but was not given any sheet this visit. i dont know why

It's normal in pakistan...I m also applicant but still stuck in AP since 2nd March 2016.i was told to wait for one month.

thanks for comments Jawaree. i have emailed my lawyer and no response as of yet. i have not contacted uscis though but called NVC and they said since the case is now at embassy they cant do anything

i wannted to ask you a question that i have recieved an email from embassy saying ''i have to submit my updated medical examination from embassy approved physican''

they didnt ask me to submit any thing else like DS-160 ..etc...

my query is

how i am gonna submit my medical to the embassy once i have my medical done,like through postal address to embassy

or i must have appointment letter from the embassy to go into embassy and submit it physically ???

how it gonna work?? as embassy simply email that above thing,there was no appointment letter with in email they sent.

moreover do the medical center perform medical without appointment letter or just showing them e-mail is sufficient

u need to contact the medical center and they will guide you. you just need to show the email that you received

Don't worry this expiring soon status is nothing, just send a email to embassy or wait one week it will be back to administrative process again.

this is what happens after an year of completion of administrative process, as per my observation and experienced.

I have seen my status of expiring soon in first consecutive 3 years of administrative process.
