  1. Good day everyone!

    I'm an F1 beneficiary (unmarried son over 21 of a US citizen) and migrated to US for almost 2 weeks now. Just want to know if I can bring my daughters 13 and 8 years of age here in the US using same petition that was filed for me? Can you help me guys on how do we go about these. Thanks!

  2. Exelent and very informative! Thanks for sharing. ;)

    Anyways, im planning to have my CFO this coming Monday March 31, do you think that I should get there around 3am just to make sure I'll be accommodated for the seminar? And for the valid id's I only have my passport and half portion of my NBI clearance. Is it acceptable? I don't have other valid id's aside from those id's I mentioned.

    Your advise will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. ;)

  3. Actually, I have read the FAQs about the USCIS Immigrant Fee prior to sending my question. It just made me wonder a bit. and I didn't expect that we have to pay another fee before departing to US. I had the assumption before that both fees are the same. But, it looks like that we don't have a choice now but to pay for it or else no GC. <_< Never ending fees...LOL!

    Hi Bendinlar, so far everything is going well and planning to do my CFO next monday. Come April 2, Goodbye Philippines, Hehehe and Hello USA! I'll shall return...will miss my country and my fellow Filipino...

    God Bless us all!!! :)

    Two separate fees. Interview fee is for the interview, and since you've got your visa packet I'm guessing you've done that. Immigrant fee is for the production of the green card. From what I understand it does not have to be paid before leaving, but the greencard will not be printed till it's paid.

    Looks like you're ready to fly, assuming you're done with CFO. :) congrats.

    Edit:
    Looks like I was best to the punch, with a more detailed answer too.

    Straight to the point. :idea::dancing:

  4. I'm getting confused with the IV Fee and USCIS Immigrant Fee. Are they same or different? :huh2:

    We paid IV Fee at NVC stage amounting to $230 and now, when I recieved my visa packet it says that I have to pay USCIS Immigrant Fee $165 before departing to US. Can someone here enlighten me on those fees. Please. Many Thanks

  5. Hi wilzhen. I am on the same situation. I would suggest to check the status of your daughter's visa & passport on 2 GO website. Here's the link: http://supplychain.2go.com.ph/customersupport/etrace/index.asp

    or you can advise your daughter to call 2 GO customer service at + 632 779-9222 and check if they have further info as to when your daughters document will become available for delivery or pick-up.

    US Embassy Manila REMINDER: the visa packet will be delivered to your designated address by courier service within 7 to 10 working days from the visa issuance date. Do not finalize travel plans, purchase plane tickets, dispose of property, or cease employment until the visa is delivered to you.

    Just have little more patience and soon everything will be okay for you and your daughter. :thumbs:

  6. Finally, my application was approved yesterday.

    Thanks to GOD, my family and special mention to VJ and it's members. :thumbs::star: This site really helps me a lot during the entire process of my application (F1- unmmarried son of US citizen over 21).

    CEAC status now is ISSUED :):content:

    Hoping to receive my visa this week...?!!! :rolleyes::idea:

    Regards and God Bless us all!

    John

  7. Hi Lauza8.

    CEAC status will still be at NVC when they received your documents. I suggest to call NVC after a few days from the time your send your documents just to confirm that they receive your package. It will take about 30 days to review your documents.

    And if everything looks good then your case will be "CASE COMPLETED" and then forward it to your appropriate consulate where your interview will take place. star_smile.gifcontent.gifsmile.png

  8. It looks like that your case is near the cut-off date and is for further processing now at NVC. Hopefully, once you have elected your choice of agent, NVC will invoice you for AOS (affidavit of support) and IV fee. Then the rest will follow, so i would suggest while waiting for your next letter from the NVC to collect all the required documents that you need to comply and submit to NVC. Most especially, POLICE CLEARANCE (from other country you resided for more than 1 year) - this is the part where I encountered delay...rolleyes.gif

    Most likely, things will be okay for you this year...

  9. Hi christinejoyce.

    I would recommend that you list an agent on your DS 261 (choice of agenct) who is based in the US. It will be more effecient and effective means of communication from NVC. When listing an agent on your form, just include the email address of your agent as well as yours. After completing the form online, it will take about 10days for NVC to confirm your registration. and future correspondence from NVC will be sent to you and your choice of agent.

    By the way, your category is FB1 (unmarried son/daughter of US Citizen over 21) or F1 student visa? I would suggest to review the visa bulletin for you to get an idea as to when your PD will become current. Kindly check the link below;

    Regards and Goodluck on your Journey! smile.png

  10. I am on the same situation. My case was completed last December 30, 2013 as per nvc. Received NVC confirmation email January 10, 2014 that they completed it's pre-processing of my case (FB1 - son of US Citizen over 21 years old, unmarried). Called NVC last thursday and was told that February slot has been filled up. Hoping to get IL this week or first week of February...:-) Goodluck to everyone!
