  1. hi there i have the same mistake on ds260. my mother surname is wrong. and the nvc advise me to inform the consul during interview.

    but im still afraid of my mistake. are you guyz done the interview please tell me the outcome of your interview thanks

    PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

    Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:
    • All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police
    certificates from the local Passport Office.
    • Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their
    local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.
    • Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District
    Police Station serving their area of residence.
    • Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying
    outside India.

  3. Hi Saylin,

    My husband fill out DS-260 a visa application online, on the application there is SURNAMES, and GIVEN NAMES. According to Indian passport, give name is 1st name and middle name. However, He entered only my 1st name and no middle in ds260 form.
    He already SIGN AND SUBMITTED it, so at this time there are no posibilities that we can edit it, i just wanted to know if he did it wrong? and if it is. Is there other any posibilities that he can change it on his interview day??
