  1. I am sick and tired of such suspension and pending open files. Just inquired case status update, check their response below. Believe me on the day of completing these files, I put all these crazy documents on fire. My husband calls me mad!! :)

The status of this service request is:

On May ..... you or your representative contacted USCIS because you believe your I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, is outside normal processing times. Below is a summary of what we have found and how the issue has been resolved or additional actions required.

    What We Have Done
USCIS has reviewed your Service Request and determined that your application is still within normal processing times, as The San Fernando Valley Field Office is currently reviewing cases submitted on or around September 16, 2015. It is taking approximately 23 to 45 months for removal of lawful permanent resident conditions (spouses of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents). Please note that posted processing times are goals based on Field Office averages. These goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office.
  2. Hi
Me too, completely in the same situation.
I- 751 filed in April 2017 just rcvd the mail advising transfer(combining with N400), no update yet.
N- 400 filed in April 2018. Interview had been set on April 30th in L.A. But waiting 3 hrs in waiting hall, everybody left the building and they were almost closing, finally the officer  came out of his office and just told your 751 not approved yet. No interview done. He said that We'll be scheduled for the next appt within 2 months and both should be present; so, the spouse also should be there. I assumed both applications will be chkd at the same time. But the officer did not give me clear respond in this regard.
  3. Hi everybody,

My green card is based on K1-visa adjustment. Counting right from GC issue date, I have been in USA for 450 days straight till now. (1 ¼ yr passed) For the rest 1 ¾ – Yr timeline of 3-yr residency requirement:

If I exit to take care of my old parent in home country and return just before each 6-mo, then:
    1. Can I remove condition out of my 2 Yr-GC easily?

    2. Can I be citizen by returning before 6-mo and short stays of 2 weeks in USA? (Two trip)

    3. Finally, may I apply for citizenship 3-mo earlier than 3-yr cap line and then stay for 3-mo and completing 18-mo to be counted in my residency count?)

I know, we can apply for N400 form 3-mo earlier than residency requirement (3 Yr). Also heard that 3-mo before application, I should reside in USA, again. What abt meeting 18 mo requirement? Should we have completed that 18-mo at the time of applying for citizenship(N400), or counting days of residency continues even after filing 3-mo earlier, upto reaching 3yr-cap?

Our marriage is real. My husband stays in the US. All are in common, nothing fake or formal. Hw'vr my parent is my priority. Unless, later I will regret for leaving him alone with his weak conditions.

Appreciate for your time dedicate to my questions.

  4. Hello Dear Journey Mates,

I am GC holder by K1 visa.

I want to complete 15-months then leave the US, 6-mo later will be back for condition removal, second 6-mo later trip stay for 10 days and the last 6-mo later trip, applying for citizenship and 3 mo stay. We are still married but just tempo. moving for financial reason.

Is it possible at all? My file data is as below:

    GC issue: June 1, 2015

    Planned trip: Oct.1, 2016

    Return for I-751: March 17

    Second 6 – mo trip: Sep.17

Third trip for citizenship: March 2018 and 3-mo stay

Thanks for your time and attention.

  5. Tnx everybody.

    Sorry for confusing post.

Actually it's a long story, their accountant made a mistake and filed 2013 tax at 5000$; IRS checked & fined at30,000...

Anyway, the available tax shows 5000,and I do not know if I can clear the matter with immigration,...

Also, we found nobody for co-sponsor, while we have enough money in my bank account and liquifiable properties in my homeland. But I do not know it works or not?
